Attorney General Buddy Caldwell has served a search warrant at the ACORN office at 2609 Canal Street, according to Tammi Arender Herring, a spokeswoman with the office.Investigators in khaki pants and polo shirts loaded several dozen computers and other electronic items into an SUV. They are also carrying records out of the building on handcarts.

Like the Black Panthers, "O's" Attorney General, will have it squashed by Monday.

It really helps to know what the investigators were wearing!

Find what happened with the $900,000 Obama gave for the "get out the dead" vote. I believe much of it was spent on $30 prepaid credit cards.

Don't worry about the Acorn investigation being squashed. Governor Jindal won't let that happen. But this is only one of the pieces of good news in New Orleans today. A high-ranking official of the Nagin administration and several cronies were indicted by a federal grand jury.

Nagin had a crooked scheme in Texas go south himself earlier this year.

Will the State Investigators get a call from the WH and then conveniently lose the hard drives??

They've had enough time to replace every hard drive

Jindal's on the job. I have faith in the ethics of this governor.

ACORN is a civic organization helping deceased and felons vote for the good folks in the democrat party.

...and the funds, #8. #1, I believe you're on the right track. There will be an attempt from some Washington quarters to teach state authorities to mind their own business. Anyway, thanks for having the guts to do this, State of Louisiana!

Judging by the demeanor and eloquence of the ACORN representatives I have heard speak, I sincerely doubt that the entire ACORN organization combined has the intelligence required to understand that delete doesn't mean gone forever.

The money trail in those computers will provide some great future stories. Go gitem, Buddy!

Are the pictures accompanying the article up-to-date? It looks like someone's still in their Halloween costume.

''They have been extremely cooperative,'' she said. - article. Of course they have. All the damaging information has been securely overwritten at least 9 times and backups destroyed. Any hardcopy papers were incinerated. This is a helluva way to run an investigation if you want to catch somebody. But if you don't want to find anything......

Jindal has nothing do do with this. It's all the Louisiana Attorney General, Buddy Caldwell, who is a no-nonsense, straight-shooting former D.A. from the poorest parish in the state.

Buddy used to personally try every capital offense in his parish. He didn't delegate the job to assistants. He did it himself. He's a great TRIAL LAWYER who knows what he's doing and doesn't fear anyone but the Big Guy up above.

Those of us in New Orleans are fortunate to have Jim Letten as US Attorney (the guy who just announced the indictments today of the high-ranking Nagin toadies) and Buddy Caldwell as State Attorney General.

Go, Buddy, go.

Did anyone note that ACORN is closing its New Orleans office and reopening in in D.C.
I guess they think they're less apt to be raided or indicted there.

I hope they are as technologically illiterate as they are stupid. All the documents they probably tried to delete will be in the Recycle bin - even if they aren't the drives won't have been wiped to unerase files, and if they have mysteriously new drives it will be obvious and they'll be in trouble for that too. But I suspect the drives will have all of their information intact or easily recoverable.

I'd like to know what an ''administer'' does.... temporary or otherwise (vis-a-vis #15) - especially dressed like that....?!

ALERT to ALL Atty Gens of ALL STATES: Our U.S. Govt is in the hands of ENEMIES of the USA. All States 'need' to follow Ohio State's actions.

Each state MUST file RICCO Organized Crime Statute VIOS against ALL ACORN units and affiliates, inside their jurisdictions IMMEDIATELY! WRITS of CEASE & DESIST or outright revocation of ALL licenses and all other organizational activities inside respective states NEED to be filed as well!

This is to insure we bring a HALT to their organized criminal activities! We cannot wait any longer, Federal help is NOT on the way and we can only expect outright opposition from the leader of ACORN, Barack HUSSEIN OBAMA!

They're moving to Wshington D.C.? How telling is that! Where will be be located .... on the White House back lawn?

Reply 23 - Posted by: Aggie57, 11/7/2009 6:55:56 AM     (No. 6007637)

#17...Amen ! I posted here a couple of months ago that Buddy Caldwell takes no prisoners and that the White House would be blowing smoke up a rope if they tried to pressure him out of this investigation.

ACORN has a tiger by the tail in Buddy Caldwell and Bobby Jindal is only going to give him free rein to pursue the crooks.

Watch this one folks...it is gonna be fun.

Well, I, for one am impressed by the speed and intelligence of the investigation. I would never have thought of looking into the computers. And it only took 'em 3 months to think of it. I doubt that the acorns even thought about the computers being a problem either. Wow, and the investigators even thought of taking some of the acorn records too.
er....at least they took the ones that weren't shredded.
