| Actress Cate Blanchett, who has played Queen Elizabeth I, is performing here, portraying someone less than regal -- flurried, anxious Blanche DuBois, in Tennessee Williams's "A Streetcar Named Desire." If Obama administration officials involved in formulating Afghanistan policy see her, they should wince when she speaks DuBois's signature line: "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers."

Karzai is a true politician; he can work four sides of a one-way street. I once used that "I've always relied on the kindness of strangers" regarding Herself.

Oh George, you are letting all that political jargon to to your head! The play's the thing! Tennessee Williams was brilliant and a drunk. But he was our brilliant drunk. Why on earth would we send his plays to a muslim nation with no idea of the background for Williams work? Maybe so they would think this is the real America, or the real South? Nobody beyond senior English class should have to watch this stuff--or even the b-movies of this stuff.

That ''segue'' from a deeply irrelevant play by a drunk, to the reliability of Karzai was entirely too tortured.

Obama is waiting for Karzai and Afghanistan to lead the way? The USA is waiting for someone else to lead the way? Can we charge obama rent?
