The Double Standard
About Journalists' Bias

I made The New York Times last week. It even ran my picture. My mother would be proud. Unfortunately, the story was critical. It said, ''Critics have leaped on Mr. Stossel's speaking engagements as the latest evidence of conservative bias on the part of Fox.' Which ''critics'' had ''leaped''? The reporter mentioned Rachel Maddow. (Snip) In August, AFP hired me to do the very same thing. I give the money to charity. The Times didn't

Comments:
Rachel Madcow a critic? That's like saying a drunk stumbling his way down the white divider line in the road is a TV dancing champion. The only time a reporter's story is ''opinionated'' unless it's stated to be an editorial is when it disagrees with the standard line the news whores have adopted.

"The Evil Corporation" is one of the two or three movies Hollywood knows how to make ...

... which is pretty funny, considering that most movies are made by huge corporations with pretty much one thing in mind; making money. ("You'll make $50,000 on the popcorn alone.")

HWd knows how to make, "Evil Government" movies. But with a few rare exceptions, the evil governments are, "conservative," "reactionary," "religious fanatics," or some such bogey men.

The third movie HWd knows how to make is, "The Valiant Negro Overcomes Prejudice." I know. I know. "Its OK to think that just so long as you don't say it." (A favorite quote from one of my favorite lesbian "activists.")

FTA: ''So why am I the one called biased? I like what 'Americans for Prosperity' defends. I'm an American, and I'm for prosperity. What creates prosperity is free and competitive markets. That means limited government.''

Welcome to the Good Side of The Force, John. We're proud to have someone that speaks the truth and has no inclination to have his leg tingle. You're over the target - Bombs Away!!

Well, this is a decent example of a Democrat with grown-up views worth a hearing.

Time for many here to drop the Demonrat/Dimocrat crap and try the adult road too.

Don't worry, it doesn't make you a Rino. It does, however, point the way to a new party that is emphatically not a camel-sized big tent designed by a committee of smiley-faced robots.

Poor Mr. Stossel. Mugged by those still in the darkness. Welcome home. And please read young Mr. Shapiro's excellent treatise on Markets and Government vs personal responsibility, adjacent:
