No, this was a 28-minute harangue by Mr. GD America on the virtues of socialism (and incidentally himself). Five minutes was all I could take. The occasion was the 50th anniv. of the Monthly Review, a socialist rag.
Event took place at the New School. Enough said.

Incidentally Mr. GD America sets up a dichotomy between Communism and Christianity, noting oh-so-slyly that "America is a Christian country, isn't it?"

The fusion of black nationalism/Marxism isn't anything new; it has always satisfied some egotistical need on the part of willing dupes and makes self-styled leaders rich and famous. That philosophy hasn't done the first thing for the regular black hoi polloi who get their groove on at the "Amen Corner." "Death to America" wishes is death to everyone in America; they don't get it?

The funny thing is Obama got Wright's church some money under faith based and all of a sudden Wright had a nice new big house in the suburbs. He's another one of the capitalism hypocrites like Micheal Moore. He preaches to people about staying out of the middle class,in other words live off the largess someone else is producing.of course his church members are open to communism,in fact many have been living under it since they were born.Living off the state is communism.

Let's take "hatred" and place it within sweet words, twist it up with soft ideas, then serve it to a public clamoring for order within which they can find "happiness" as defined by those who hate.

I appreciate the article for exposing more of Obama's socialist connections, but the following paragraph illustrates why conservatives are battling for their country's soul.
FTA: Ironically, McChesney's Free Press organization has received at least $1 million from the Open Society Institute of billionaire George Soros, a mega-capitalist who seems to have dedicated his life to overturning the system that made him wealthy.
On what planet is Soros a capialist? Yet that's precisely the type of ignorant conservatism that has led to the demonization of free markets.

Anyone who dismisses the Wright issue as 'guilt by association,' ask yourself this -- would you, and the mainstream press, dismiss it if Bush had attended a church for 20 years of a radical right, anti-abortion bombthrowing preacher? Would you honestly tell me that would not have been a campaign-ending revelation?
Wright would have finished Obama 18 months ago, if he were a white Republican.

Rev Wright calls himself a pastor. The person who introduced him Robert W. McChesney calls his organization "Free Press" which is trying to bring Hugo Chavez style "reforms" to the American media. Neither of which could be further from the truth.
Bing. OK I get it. I mean it is obvious but now more clear than ever. These people are not interested in bringing change to America based on the MERIT of their ideas. They are only interested in bringing change by GUILE.

#11, Soros certainly is a capitalist by profession. By inclination, he is a Communist using the capitalist system to overthrow capitalism. Soros has amassed billions to fund anti-capitalist movements.
What Soros wants is to use his considerable bucks to place himself at the helm by manipulating currencies and buying off people and governments. He is a Communist at heart planning a takeover using Obama's Administration. Soros wants the world. You can't do that if you're broke.
But Americans who voted for Obama and the Democrats in Congress are waking up from an indulgent slumber, realizing that these outrageous manipulations are taking place under their noses. The unthinkable is happening.
Wright's comments about Marxism and socialism reveal his real agenda. That's why O dumped him so fast; he was about to spill beans that were never meant to see the light of day.

Everything Obama has done since being elected President indicates he secretly harbors the same ideology as Reverend Wright. And it appears the reason he cannot find another church to attend is because there is no other church that supports Marxists leanings like the one he openly supported for the past twenty years.

Inre: #16- Certainly agreement that chalking it up to Guilt by Association is simply willful ignorance.
Honestly, though- as we get a better picture of Obama the man, I tend to believe that he is not a coldly calculating so much as a shallow and opportunistic pol;
He realized a need for "street cred" with urban Chicago due to his "Born-in-Hawaii-raised-by-whitey" bio, so he grabbed onto the 'blackest' pastor he could, and ended up with this Looney-tune ignoramus.

#19 Thank you for the Wm. Shakespeare quote. That's the one I've been trying to recall from my slow memory.
If we can somehow rid our country of Geroge Soros, America will be better off. This quote from a German publication Executive Intelligence Review from 11/1/96: "His goal is to loot wherever and however he can. Soros has been called the master manipulator of 'hit-and-run' capitalism."
In reading about what he did to the Bank of England in the 1990's, he is doing to America right now - he caused the devaluation of the pound because England printed more money due to Soro's speculation. That's my limited understanding in a nutshell. But it sounded so familiar to what the American dollar is going though

A single simple thought unites the people who attend, cheer, and stroke themselves with with God Damn America rhetoric or deeds. They congratulate themselves because they know that their prayers for damnation do not apply to them. They are different from and better than those stupid Americans.
We must remember this.
Proponents of black separatism, liberation theology, and every other grade and brand name for socialism/communism/fascism/totalitarianism cannot also be Americans. They may be citizens and protected by our laws and institutions, but on really important levels they just don't get it. America is not just a place where you live and works and obey the local law if you so choose. America is also a state of mind.
This is why many immigrants take to America like coming home and many native born know no affection for this place.

Democrats supported slavery!
Democrats proposed an EXPANSION of slavery into the Western Territories (Kansas, Nebraska, California, etc.)!
Democrats tore America in two and went to war in defense of slavery!
Democrats founded the Ku Klux Klan, and used the KKK as the domestic terrorism wing of their party!
Democrats presided over the destruction of the black family, imposing perverse rules on public assistance which were designed to remove black fathers from the home!
Democrats gave us the Poll Tax, stopping southern blacks from voting!
Democrats gave us Jim Crow!
Democrat Woodrow Wilson segregated our Military!
Who turned the dogs and firehoses on Dr. King's civil rights marchers in Alabama? Democrat Bull Connor!
Who blocked the schoolhouse door? Democrat Governor George Wallace!
What Democrat-endorsed organization was founded by the racist Margaret Sanger for the express purpose of EXTERMINATING BLACK PEOPLE? Planned Parenthood!
Wow. Just look at all that the Democrat Party has done for black America!

Then when Juan suggested that you cant fault Ø with 'Guilt by Association' they should have said 'Birds of a feather, flock together' or 'You are known by the friends you keep.' But again, they backed down. The media FAILED huge in 2008 by taking sides and mocking any opposition.

This video with Wright and McChesney is scary enough by itself but the impact people like these radicals are making on the youngest generation is what is frightening. The thought that 66% of those under 30 voted for the "empty suit" in the Oval Office and a majority of them support the Health Care monstrosity does not bode well for the future of this country.
I recommend another write-up on the new articles, "A Generation of Sociopaths" by Mike Adams. This provides personal testimony of what a monster we have created in this young generation by not paying attention to what they were being taught in the schools when they were growing up (Thank you, Bill Ayers and crew).
I take consolation in the fact that the youngsters manning the front lines of freedom in the battle against Muslim terror (apparently the remaining one third of those under 30)will be able to take the lessons they have learned in Iraq and Afghanistan and save us from ourselves. These are the Americans radicals like Wright and McChesney have been unable to influence. These are the "hard" men and women who know "Freedom is not Free". Jeremiah, you will meet your match.

There is no way that your Marxist President sat and listened to this man for 20 years and did not know exactly who and what he was. He listened because he agreed and his administration is proving that with the people he surrounds himself with and the policies he proposes.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague." Marcus Cicero

None of this got any attention other than when the heat got too much and Obama had to make one of this "throw this guy under the bus" speeches, which was lauded by the popular news media as some sort of historic moment.
We have to accept the fact that we have a Marxist in the White House. The only way Marxism works is through totalitarianism, which although not here yet, we can see it from here.

African liberation theology (and any other ''liberation'' theology) has always been nothing but a front for Marxist communism. It was invented in S and C America as a way of gaining new recruits without telling them they were being indoctrinated into communism. The Catholic and other churches which were used as fronts should have immediately removed and excommunicated any priests that used this evil technique.

Pathetic name dropping ad nauseum. And his delivery is dismissive - like he's put out to have to read his own speech. Note how, with his inflection, he ends sentences one or two words too soon - repeatedly. He isn't really thinking about what he is saying - just reading and going through the motions. Like Steve Marin hosting SNL, he's totally "phoning it in".
I find his repeated mantra that socialism trates the poor as "people" to be the epitome of hypocricy. The foundation of Marxism is the reduction of human beings to units of economic value. And the answer to his question "Why ARE there homeless people?" is ""Because YOU keep them homeless, poor and ignorant, you race baiting, money-grubbing demon." This man is truly evil, doing the work of the Enemy with glee.

Does anyone believe it's a coincidence that the Reverend Wright preaches his sermons of hatred and American damnation in the same city, Chicago, that is also the murder capital of America? And in the most murderous area of Chicago, the South Side?
You'd think that Barack and Michelle Obama would have figured out long ago what a malignant influence the Reverend Wright has exerted on Chicago's destructive culture, particularly on the minds of its children. Yet the Obamas exposed their own daughters to the Reverend's hate-filled madness every week.
But there is reason for hope. The vast majority of Americans do not want to live in a corrupt, crime-infested, destructive community like Chicago, which is why every other community in America has a lower murder rate. As Obama and Company's project of transforming Washington into Chicago on the Potomac becomes increasingly apparent, The Won's ratings will increasingly decline.

The "guilt by association" argument is completely false for two simple reasons:
1. Obama and the Dems do this all the time, and falsely, when they pretend that conservatives are somehow aligned with Timothy McVeigh and Lee Harvey Oswald.
2. Obama demanded the voters play "virtue by association" when he invited us to look at who he takes counsel from. We have found many of those people to be Marxists and racists, and by that association we were asked by Obama himself to make, we also judge him to be so.

As we observe those absurd people in action, remember that what we're seeing are America's lowest elements being led by her most nefarious. That is neither a promising nor comforting combination, considering that both are in it to get OUR money.

The podium this evil being is speaking from has the most ironic twist of all on it:
''New York Society for Ethical Culture''
I am not as ''clever'' as most Leftist think that they are but I do know humor when I see it staring me in the face.

#53: Rome suppressed the theologians (Sobrino, et al); but I don't think a systematic purge of like-minded clerics, religious, and missionaries could be achieved if they tried.

Communism is the exact opposite of Christianity.
The Apostles gave up their possessions of their own free will in order to reject the obsession with material things for spiritual salvation.
Communists want everyone to be forced to give up their possessions so that they can be evenly redistributed because they are envious of what their neighbor has.
Christianity is based on a freely chosen belief in brotherhood with your fellow man and something greater than the material world.
Communism is tyrannical redistribution based on envy of other people's material possessions.
They are the exact opposite also in that Christianity is good and Communism is evil.
If you think you are a Christian and that socialism/communism is good, you are not a Christian. Do not mock God by saying you are, for your own sake.

Poor Reverend Wright has led a life of constant victimization by White America's racism and discrimination. Oppressed and denied opportunity all his life, now he is condemned to live in retirement in $1.6 million 10,340 square-foot, four-bedroom mansion in suburban Chicago, currently under construction in a gated community, with a $10 million line of credit, presumably intended for furniture and other incidentals.

Yes, it's interesting that whenever light is shone on these people, they run into hiding and delete all of the evidence. I hope someone downloaded it and it comes up on YouTube or somewhere else.

I thought another poster put this up, but I couldn’t find it. FYI: the ‘New Rev. Jeremiah Wright Video - Praising Marxism 1 of 3’ is on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WP6_qtLoW98&feature=player_embedded
The other two parts can be found from there, I think.

In response to a poster back up the list, I do not believe Obama has even been a Christian. I recall once a few months ago when he was asked about his "Christian" beliefs, he fumbled and stumbled (no teleprompter) a really disconnected response about supposedly believing in Jesus Christ, etc. It was obviously a very uncomfortable and strange concept for him to discuss. (He must have forgotten his lines or something). And, of course, we should all be aware of his twice stumbling on TV interviews about his Muslim beliefs. On one of them, George Stephanopoulos had to ask him if he actually meant "Christian" beliefs. Obama awkwardly agreed. Phoney to the core. I am not judging Obama as to whether he is actually a Christian or not; my observation is a suspicious supposition based on what I've observed. Only God knows for sure. I love the statement #44 included on his/her posting from Marcus Cicero. I've heard it before, but it sure bears repeating. #63, part 2: I don't believe they ever did! #68: I beg to differ with you. The basis of Christianity is a belief in and acceptance of Jesus Christ.

I think Middle America has gotten the word and voted their anger with the useless Øbama and crew on Tuesday, Nov 3. The Rev. Wright is a disgusting hypocrite. Reading speeches crowing that America is the land of greed and the home of the slaves. That bozo Wright made his fortune speaking trash like this about the country we love and gets to retire to a million-dollar mansion in a white, gated community I might add. Talk about greed. He could have passed that money on to poor members of the church or the community. And to think our current president Odumbo sat for 22 years listening to this political trash talker and communist sympathizer makes me sick to my stomach.
