It appears that the SS Fair & Balanced (aka Fox News) is taking on water. In April CNN, for the fifth time in the past eight months, is ranked #1 in prime time. The last time CNN had this many prime time wins was 14 years ago (November 2001) in the post 9/11 period. Further, in April, CNN had the most growth of any television network (cable or broadcast) among total viewers in the most important demographic, adults 25-54 increasing this key viewership by triple digits in prime time. Normally in an election season, particularly one this contentious, viewership always

We all have cracked jokes about the United States Postal Service, especially about their workers “going postal.” Most postal workers you’ve encountered are probably lethargic, short-tempered, half-asleep, or just plain rude. Well, that could be due to their work environment. These people are miserable, which is what the USPS painfully discovered when they gave Gallup to conduct this survey at the cost of $1.8 million (via Inside Sources): The topline results were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request after the USPS declined to provide the data to InsideSources when asked in January. Postal workers reported strong job dissatisfaction, and in

Ted Cruz leads Donald Trump by double digits in a new poll of Indiana, which hosts the next contest in the GOP presidential primary on Tuesday. The Texas senator leads the real estate mogul 45 percent to 29 percent among registered voters, according to a poll by the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics. Ohio Gov. John Kasich trails in third place, with 13 percent, and 13 percent are undecided. The results of the poll are at odds with other recent surveys that show Trump in the lead. The RealClearPolitics average of polls finds Trump with a 5-point advantage over

President Obama took fire at Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and the Republican establishment tonight in his hilarious final White House Correspondents´ Dinner speech - and he even saved some ammunition for Hillary Clinton. Before he tore apart the GOP candidates, Obama brought up his former Secretary of State´s speeches to Goldman Sachs as he contemplated what he might do to make money after leaving the White House. ´If this material does well, I’m going to use it at Goldman Sachs next year,´ the president said, adding that he planned to make ´some serious Tubmans´. He also joked that Clinton attempting to

Huma Abedin, a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton, nearly began sobbing at the thought of Clinton carrying her own bags, according to a report published on Thursday. "Abedin took her duties so seriously ... that when she learned that Clinton had once carried her own bag up a flight of stairs in her aide´s absence, Abedin nearly burst into tears," an unnamed source said for the story in Newsweek. Abedin began working for Clinton as a White House intern in 1996, the same year that former intern Monica Lewinsky began working for President Bill Clinton. However, her career took a different a

CNN racked up another major rating victory in April, posting the top ratings for cable news in prime time. CNN, however, scored a 111-percent increase in viewers from April 2015 to April 2016. “Anecdotal evidence suggests a growing number of Fox viewers have been angered at the cable outlet’s perceived move to the left the last couple years, as well as its frequent criticisms of Republican presidential primary front-runner Donald Trump,” wrote Cheryl Chumley on WND. “(Megyn) Kelly, for example, came under public fire for her questioning of Trump during an August debate on Fox about his past treatment of women, and

Malia Obama will take a gap year after graduating from high school and then attend Harvard University in the fall of 2017, the White House said Sunday, ending speculation at campuses across the country. Obama, 17, the older of the president’s two daughters, visited more than a dozen schools, including Stanford, Yale and Columbia, before making her decision. The White House did not say what she would spend her gap year doing.

An angry mob broke through steel barricades and tried to storm a Donald Trump appearance in California on Friday — a second day of protests that forced the billionaire to sneak inside by climbing over a wall. “That was not the easiest entrance I’ve ever made,” Trump said as he began his speech at the Hyatt Regency near San Francisco’s airport in Burlingame. “It felt like I was crossing the border, actually.” Protesters threw eggs at police officers and shouted obscenities at those entering the luncheon to hear Trump’s speech. Some carried Mexican flags in protest of Trump’s proposal to build a wall along

Mayor de Blasio all but said he’ll back a 5-cent fee on shopping bags to reduce waste a day after City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito endorsed the controversial bill. In a radio interview, de Blasio said he wants to see some minor tinkering to the bill before he’d sign it into law but disputed opponents’ claim that the so-called “tax” on plastic and paper bags unfairly socks the poor. “Why I do not believe it is regressive is because it changes people’s behavior very quickly,” de Blasio said on 970 AM’s “John Gambling Show.” “This is what we’ve seen

For purposes of analysis, and to offer a hint to Team Clinton about the respect that should be shown to Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) and his supporters between now and the Democratic convention, my bet would be that a ticket combining Sanders with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) would leave any Republican ticket with Donald Trump or Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) ticket in the distant dust and win a landslide victory for Democrats in November. No, I will not be placing a wager on a Sanders-Warren ticket, though the chances that probable Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton would run with Warren are

President Barack Obama’s eldest daughter Malia has made a decision about where she will attend college. And she has chosen Harvard University. Malia, who is due to graduate from high school next month, will attend Harvard in Cambridge, Ma., in the fall of 2017, the White House said Sunday. Malia will take a gap year before beginning school, the Obamas said. Both Michelle and Barack Obama are graduates of Harvard Law School. The 17-year-old Malia is a senior at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., where she has lived since President Obama began his first term in the White House

The campaign for Sen. Ted Cruz and one of its PACs are attacking rival Donald Trump for his allegiance to former pro boxing champion Mike Tyson, who was convicted of rape in Indiana, which holds a primary Tuesday. The Trusted Leadership PAC has released an online video pointing out that Trump said Tyson, a Trump supporter, was “railroaded” in the 1991 conviction. “One of the leaders in the effort to keep Tyson out of prison is Donald Trump,” a TV news-reader is heard saying in the 30-second video, over archived moving and still pictures of Trump, including one of him beside Tyson.
