EXCLUSIVE: A senior State Department official in charge of federal counterterrorism programs was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor, Fox News has learned. Fairfax County Police officials say Daniel Rosen was arrested by a county detective about noon at his Washington, D.C. home after he allegedly sought to arrange sex with a minor. The detective, a female officer working in the county´s Child Exploitation Unit, had been posing as the minor in online exchanges with Rosen, police said. Rosen, who is the director of counterterrorism programs and policy at the State Department, was arrested and transported to the

As promised, President Obama is using executive actions to impose gun control on the nation, targeting the top-selling rifle in the country, the AR-15 style semi-automatic, with a ban on one of the most-used AR bullets by sportsmen and target shooters. But now BATFE says that since the bullets can be used in semi-automatic handguns they pose a threat to police and must be banned from production, sale and use. But, as Goodlatte noted, offered no proof. Federal agencies will still be allowed to buy the ammo.

Republicans should stop fighting amnesty, President Obama said on Thursday, because one day a Hispanic will become president. “Over the long term, this is going to get solved, because at some point there’s going to be a President Rodriguez or there’s going to be a President Chen,” Obama told a Florida International University town hall audience, hosted by Telemundo and MSNBC. “The country is a nation of immigrants, and ultimately it will reflect who we are and its politics are going to reflect who we are,” Obama continued, implying that neither native-born Americans or legal immigrants have moral standing to

In an interview with USA Today about race in America post-Selma, Congressman John Lewis (D-GA) reflected on former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani‘s controversial comments in which he said President Barack Obama does not love America. Lewis suggested there are still some racial undertones in American society, and that Giuliani’s remarks are an example of that. “It’s so strange, ever since he’s been president, people have been trying to take something from him that he is not American, that he was not born here,” Lewis said. “But we must keep in mind that the scar and stains of racism are

Foreign governments gave millions

The Clinton Foundation accepted millions of dollars from seven foreign governments during Hillary Rodham Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state, including one donation that violated its ethics agreement with the Obama administration, foundation officials disclosed Wednesday. Most of the contributions were possible because of exceptions written into the foundation’s 2008 agreement, which included limits on foreign-government donations. The agreement, reached before Clinton’s nomination amid concerns that countries could use foundation donations to gain favor with a Clinton-led State Department, allowed governments that had previously donated money to continue making contributions at similar levels.

Will the Clintons’ Greed Do Them In?

It has long been remarked that a certain Dogpatch air hangs over Bill and Hillary Clinton. They have, apparently, led separate lives for quite a few years, but one quality that they share is greed. Indeed, they seem unable to restrain that grasping instinct even when it undermines their presumably more important goals–as, for example, when Hillary extracts $300,000 from universities for 45 minutes of platitudes. Tomorrow’s Washington Post reports that while Hillary was Secretary of State, “[t]he Clinton Foundation accepted millions of dollars from seven foreign governments.” How many millions? Weirdly, the Post doesn’t say. It does tell us

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted Thursday to confirm U.S. Attorney Loretta E. Lynch as the next attorney general, sending her nomination to the full Senate, where it is expected to be voted on in the coming days. By a vote of 12 to 8, the committee approved the nomination of Lynch, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, as the first African American woman to take the reins of the Justice Department. (Snip) Sens. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) voted with the committee’s nine Democrats to approve Lynch’s nomination.

Kerry: Netanyahu Was Wrong

Secretary of State John Kerry told the House Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday that the U.S. should be wary of trusting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s warnings on Iran, because Netanyahu had also backed the Iraq War. Kerry’s remarks were hypocritical, since he also supported the war. And they raise the disturbing suggestion, beloved of conspiracy theorists, that Israel is dragging the U.S. to war. Yet it is worth asking whether Kerry’s criticism has merit. Netanyahu’s vehement assertion in 2002–as a private citizen, testifying to Congress–that Saddam Hussein was pursuing weapons of mass destruction certainly looks foolish in retrospect. In

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry remembered Martin Luther King, Jr. during a commemorative speech at Cornell the best way she knew how, saying she hoped Trayvon Martin “whooped the s**t out of George Zimmerman” during their 2012 encounter that ended in the African-American teenager’s death. On Monday, Harris-Perry spoke at the university’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Lecture, where she touched on topics like democracy — which she labeled “hot s**t” — and called Dr. King “the one great voice, like Beyoncé.” But it was her comments regarding the night of Martin’s death that caused Cornell’s conservative campus newspaper, The

For the second year in a row, the Labrador Retriever tops the American Kennel Club’s list of most popular dogs in America. The Lab dethroned the poodle as top dog in 2013, and has been in the top 10 most popular breeds for more than a century. And why not? The Lab is not only an ideal family companion, but a spectacular work dog — perhaps the best water dog in the world. Fearless, tireless, supremely intelligent, enthusiastic — the perfect companion while on the hunt or in camp. And as this AP article points out, Labs are incredibly versatile:

Apparently Susan Rice finds the Ukraine situation hilarious. The National Security Adviser for President Obama laughed uncontrollably when asked about how humiliating it was to have Ukrainian troops retreat. Rice accused Charlie Rose of trying to get her off track while still laughing. Her tone quickly changed, however. Despite her laughter just seconds prior, Rice said that the Obama administration was talking the Ukraine/Russia crisis very seriously. “I was just simply saying we’re taking very serious steps to reinforce NATO’s presence, air, land and sea, in the NATO countries that are on the eastern flank,” Rice said.
