If you drive anywhere in Pennsylvania, from the turnpike to the old US routes to the dirt roads connecting small towns like Hooversville with “bigger” small towns like Somerset, you might conclude that Donald Trump is ahead in this state by double digits.Large signs, small signs, homemade signs, signs that wrap around barns, signs that go from one end of a fence to another dot the landscape with such frequency that, if you were playing the old-fashioned road-trip game of counting cows, you would hit 100 in just one small town like this one.In Ruffsdale, I am pretty sure I saw more than 100 Trump signs. It’s as if people here have not turned on the television to hear pundits drone on and on about how badly Trump is

Cher compared Donald Trump to Hitler and slammed him for being a ´f***ing idiot´ as she unleashed a barrage of insults during a Hillary campaign event. The legendary entertainer and long-time Clinton supporter also said the GOP candidate reminded her of the actress who played a murdering child in the 1970s film, ´The Bad Seed.´ Speaking Sunday in Provincetown, Massachusetts, the singer and actress gave a stinging — and at times profane — assessment of the Republican presidential nominee. (Video/Photos) Invoking ´The Bad Seed´ she said: ´He´s so Patty McCormack, consummate liar, doesn´t care who she hurts, insane.´ Before an

"Somebody is going to hell" over the political attacks on the Clinton Foundation, longtime Clinton confidant James Carville declared Tuesday, denouncing the recent scrutiny and criticism of the charitable organization. If the Clinton Foundation had decided not to accept foreign donations while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, as it has recently announced it would do if she is elected president, Carville said on MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" that the "good" thing would be that the organization would not be part of the political discussion. "The bad would be you´d be out hundreds of millions of dollars that are doing good. What the

Four Iranian boats approached a U.S. destroyer in the Persian Gulf in a dangerous stunt Tuesday, according to a Navy official. The small Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy craft drove within within 300 yards of the destroyer Nitze, deployed with the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, near the Strait of Hormuz, said the official who was not authorized to speak on the record about the incident. The Navy is calling the incident "unsafe and unprofessional," he said. The destroyer tried various methods to communicate with the incoming four boats, he added. Radio calls, the ship´s whistle, firing flares -- all to no response.

Fashion for politicians can be deeply polarizing. No one demonstrates that better than the Philadelphia Inquirer’s fashion critic Elizabeth Wellington. Two all-white outfits worn at political conventions provoked deeply divergent responses. Melania Trump’s all-white dress was “A scary statement.” So while Trump appeared flawless on the Cleveland stage Monday night, whether she intended it or not, her all-white ensemble displayed the kind of foreignness that is accepted by her husband’s political party. To many, that outfit could be another reminder that in the G.O.P. white is always right. On the other hand, “Hillary Clinton looked presidential in an all-white pantsuit.”

Hillary´s newly discovered emails raise

The news shows reported yesterday that the FBI discovered 14,900 emails that Hillary had not turned over to the State Department. This news again focuses attention on the July 5, 2016 report by FBI Director Comey that no criminal charges be pursued against Hillary, although he criticized her handling of the emails as "extremely careless." In his report, Comey said there were "several thousand work-related emails" that Hillary did not turn over to the State Department. The question is, are those "several thousand" part of the 14,900, and if so, why didn´t Comey say on July 5 that there were

The Democratic Party often warns us that mixing big money and politics will corrupt democracy. They must have nominated Hillary Clinton to prove it. The Clinton Foundation was ostensibly set up to solve the world’s most pressing problems. Though it’s done some fine work, its most fruitful program has been leveraging Clinton’s position in the State Department to enrich her family, friends and cronies. It’s against federal law for charities to act in the interests of private business or individuals. Yet the Clinton Foundation secured high-paying gigs for its namesakes and helped for-profit corporations with family ties set up lucrative deals. As it

WOW! These people are sooo corrupt! Monmouth University released a poll today that had Donald Trump defeating Hillary Clinton. Trump was up 41-39 so they weighted the poll with more Democrats to give Hillary the lead. WOW! The original unweighted poll had 33 Republicans to 35 Democrats – with Trump leading. The revised poll had 29 Republicans to 37 Democrats… And, Wallah! Hillary has the lead. Conservative Treehouse reported: "Today, Monmouth via Patrick Murray presents a presidential poll of Ohio voters. The actual raw data (pdf available here – see pg, 6 and 7) showed Donald Trump with a lead in the result; however, Murray changed

Shortly after then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with the crown prince of Bahrain, a Clinton Foundation donor, the United States sold his country a ton of arms. A newly released batch of emails reveals that Clinton met with the crown prince in 2009, who has personally donated over $32 million to the Clinton Global Initiative, only after a Clinton Foundation bigwig pressured her into doing so. Just after this meeting took place, Clinton’s State Department “significantly increased arms export authorizations to the country’s autocratic government, even as that nation moved to crush pro-democracy protests,” the International Business Times reports.

West Virginia University (WVU) has told its 29,000 students that they are breaking federal law if don’t agree to use the pronouns — including ‘he’ or ‘she,’ ‘zir’ or ‘hir’ etc. — preferred by each person who claims to be transgender. That policy means if a biological man — for example, famous transgender athlete Bruce Jenner — says he “identifies” his gender as female, then all other students must refer to the man as a “she,” or else be treated as a law-breaker. WVU says using the wrong pronouns is a crime because the United States departments of justice and

An editorial in the Washington Post on Tuesday slammed Donald Trump´s recent comments on restricting immigration and argued that people in the country illegally are needed for menial labor. The paper said Trump´s call for a border wall and a "humane" solution to the millions of illegal immigrants in the U.S. are "politically and economically preposterous." "Those include the fact that at least 8 million unauthorized immigrants are employed, most have been in this country for 15 years or longer, and typically they do jobs — tending crops, washing dishes, mowing lawns — that native-born Americans do not want," the

A “Pandora’s box of constitutional mischief” is the phrase the New York Times is using to describe a convention of the states to consider amendments to the United States Constitution. The Gray Lady is in full panic mode over such a convention, having awakened from its Rumpelstiltskinian slumber in respect of America’s supreme law. It’s discovered that we are now six states away from the 34 states needed to call for a states’ convention that would, in the Times’ phrase, be “unprecedented” in our Republic’s history. Which would be, in our view, precisely one of the convention’s virtues. It would mark
