Acclaimed singer Barbra Streisand is joining the list of disgruntled celebrities threatening to leave America if Donald Trump is elected president. She made the comments during an interview with Sydney-based journalist Michael Usher during an Australian news program broadcast on Sunday. “He has no facts. I don’t know, I can’t believe it,” Streisand said, referring to Trump. “I’m either coming to your country [Australia], if you’ll let me in, or Canada.” A “thrilled” Hillary Clinton supporter, Streisand has spent the last few weeks campaigning for her preferred candidate. "I´m spending an evening campaigning with Hillary in New York City next week, and

Last week saw one of the most remarkable moments of this most remarkable political season. A major politician defended the conservative movement and the Republican party from guilt-by-association with a fringe group of racists, anti-Semites, and conspiracy theorists who have jumped enthusiastically on the Donald Trump train: the so-called alt-right. “This is not conservatism as we have known it,” the politician said. “This is not Republicanism as we have known it.” The politician was Hillary Clinton, and that’s what’s astonishing. Clinton is normally comfortable unjustly condemning conservatism and the GOP for the sins of bigotry and prejudice, not exonerating it.

Donald Trump has confirmed he will head to Mexico to meet with its billionaire president on Wednesday. He tweeted to his 11million followers on Tuesday: ´I have accepted the invitation of President Enrique Pena Nieto, of Mexico, and look very much forward to meeting him tomorrow.´ The meeting would have to be a brief affair - sandwiched between a California fundraiser in the morning and a night time address in Phoenix where Trump is expected to give a campaign-defining speech on immigration. Nieto´s office said he invited both Trump and Hillary Clinton to meet with him but The Donald´s campaign refused to

The Obama White House may designate certain state voting systems as "pieces of critical infrastructure," which would give federal technology experts "more of a role in assisting the administrators of those networks as they deter intrusions," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters on Monday. "That´s something that´s being discussed by senior members of the president´s National Security team," Earnest added. (Snip) "We certainly will continue to work in coordination with state and local officials, even short of that (critical infrastructure) designation to offer them advice and assistance, at their request, to ensure that they are protecting their systems," Earnest said

Speaking from Bangladesh Tuesday morning, Secretary of State John Kerry suggested members of the media stop covering (Islamic) terrorism so people won´t "know what´s going on." Kerry attempted to preempt his statement by implying media coverage creates copy cats and promotes more terrorism. "If you decide one day you’re going to be a terrorist and you’re willing to kill yourself, you can go out and kill some people. You can make some noise...perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn’t cover it quite as much. People wouldn’t know what’s going on," Kerry said. While the copy

139 shares 156 View comments The State Department says about 30 emails that may be related to the 2012 attack on U.S. compounds in Benghazi, Libya, are among the thousands of Hillary Clinton emails recovered during the FBI´s recently closed investigation into her use of a private server. Government lawyers told U.S. District Court Judge Amit P. Mehta Tuesday that an undetermined number of the emails among the 30 were not included in the 55,000 pages previously provided by Clinton. The State Department´s lawyer said it would need until the end of September to review the emails and redact potentially classified information before they are released. Donald

PHOENIX — Sen. John McCain beat back a primary challenge Tuesday from a Republican tea party activist to win the right to seek a sixth term in November in a race that has been inundated with questions about GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump. The 2008 GOP presidential nominee easily defeated former state Sen. Kelli Ward and two other Republicans. He faces a tough Democratic challenge in the November general election from U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick. She advanced Tuesday after facing only a write-in opponent in the primary. McCain vowed to not take the primary for granted, and he campaigned hard until the end.

A sad, sordid tale apparently came to an end Monday, at least until the next swim in the muck, with graphic evidence that former Rep. (and now former Daily News occasional columnist) Anthony Weiner was caught in the pathetic act of sexting a virtual stranger once again. We leave it to the couple, their friends and family — and Donald Trump — to analyze the decision of Weiner and Huma Abedin, his wife and a top Hillary Clinton aide, to separate. We leave it to psychologists to determine precisely what sick thing it says about the onetime mayoral aspirant that, after a

Even before the FBI identified new cyber attacks on two separate state election boards, the Department of Homeland Security began considering declaring the election a "critical infrastructure," giving it the same control over security it has over Wall Street and and the electric power grid. The latest admissions of attacks could speed up that effort possibly including the upcoming presidential election, according to officials."We should carefully consider whether our election system, our election process, is critical infrastructure

Whenever I hear someone complain that Donald Trump is “not presidential,” I reply, “Compared to whom? Which president are we talking about? How ‘presidential’ was Barack Obama in 2008 when he said of the Republicans, ‘If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun’?” And just what are the qualities that really matter in a president? The overwhelming majority of Mr. Trump’s detractors have never sat across the table from him to hammer out a multimillion-dollar business deal. I have. So I think I’m in a better position than they are to judge his effectiveness as a top-level

WASHINGTON- Responding to reports that two states had election databases hacked, FBI Director James Comey said Tuesday the agency takes such threats "very, very seriously" amid calls by a top Democrat to investigate the matter before the election. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said in a letter to Comey the government should open an investigation into alleged election tampering by Russian spies. Reid´s letter comes as reports surfaced that voter registration databases in Illinois and Arizona were hacked. The FBI said it is possible the Russian government was behind the data breach and encouraged all states to take additional action

Hillary Clinton is known for many things - among them is her penchant for monochrome pantsuits. It appears Clinton has taken her matchy-matchy look off-duty, rocking a lime green ensemble in the Hamptons a year after she wore the same outfit during her annual vacation in 2015. While Clinton was enjoying some time off last year, she´s hoping to drum up cash among New York´s elite this time around with a three-day fundraising extravaganza, Politico reported. Scroll down for video (Photos) The Democratic nominee was seen on Monday wearing a loose tunic with matching pants and Nike sneakers, while husband
