Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts said she believes it is time for Mississippi to disavow its Confederate icons — namely on its state flag. "I would support removing Confederate celebrations from federal lands and putting them in museums where they belong," Warren said at a CNN townhall in Jackson, Mississippi, on Monday evening. Asked if she believes the state should adopt a new flag, Warren had a short answer. "Yes," she said to an applauding crowd. Mississippi´s flag, which features a confederate battle emblem, has been a source of controversy. The flag from 1894 has been accused of

Mississippi voted overwhelmingly to keep the flag, including a majority of the black voters.

She´s determined to write off the south before the first vote is cast. "If" she were smart, she would shut up and leave local issues to the local voters.

State flags are an issue of great substance to millions of Americans...not. Guess Warren´s reduced to talking about flags because she´s on the wrong side of anything that means a lot to most Americans, and she knows it.

The Democrats have an incredibly pathetic field of candidates for 2020. They are a bad joke.

I would love it if Mississippi would take her advice and change their flag -- to include a giant picture of Robert E. Lee on a full Confederate battle flag background!!!!!!

Hell will freeze over before people in Mississippi will do anything that a fake Indian Yankee from Taxachusettes tells them to do!!!!!!

Elizabeth Warren is a busybody biddy who has no pace in the Senate, let alone in the White House. Small mind fussing around with itty bitty issues. Of the divisive kind.

She reminds me of a loathsome junior high school teacher I once had. Power-crazy, there wasn’t a rule that teacher didn’t love and if there wasn’t one, she’d make one up. She was a lousy teacher who should have been a prison matron.

Many State flags represent the history of area.

If the leftists want to expunge history from flags, beware....

Example: Minnesota state flag depicts a farmer with a rifle and a Native American riding into the sunset. What do you suppose that means?

Her 13-year-old son, Curtis Walker, was one of 29 mostly black children who were killed from 1979 to 1981 in a spate of crimes that became known as the Atlanta child murders. During those tense three years, children vanished, only to have their bodies turn up days later, with many of them having been strangled. The killings haunted Atlanta and brought grief to families, but also festered racial suspicions.

Attorney General William Barr on Sunday released the "principal conclusions" of Special Counsel Robert Mueller´s completed Russia probe in a bombshell four-page letter to Capitol Hill lawmakers, which stated definitively that Mueller did not establish evidence that President Trump´s team or any associates of the Trump campaign had conspired with Russia -- "despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign." Mueller´s team specifically looked into two Russian efforts to interfere with the 2016 election -- first, the work by a Russian organization, the Internet Research Agency (IRA), to "conduct disinformation and social media operations"

In the opening pages of Michelle Obama’s memoir “Becoming,” she says something that might have sounded pretty provocative when she started writing the book in the days after she and her husband, former President Barack Obama, moved out of the White House. “When you’re first lady, America shows itself to you in its extremes.” (Snip) But one reason she’s been so effective at going high when the crudest and most retrograde among us decide to go low is that she’s so gifted at not surrendering to her own extremes. That she was able to draw some 18,000 people from so

Is this really from today, not from the campaign trail in Texas last year? I can’t believe any Democrat would have the stones to double down on collusion the morning after we find out that not only won’t Trump be indicted for conspiring with Russia, none of his inner circle will either.(tweet)Yes, right, we haven’t seen the report yet and so it’s possible that Mueller believes Trump conspired with Russia but declined to indict him due to the DOJ policy that prevents sitting presidents from being formally charged.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler confirmed Sunday that Congress will continue to investigate President Donald Trump regardless of the conclusions reached by special counsel Robert Mueller. “We know there was collusion,” Nadler insisted several times during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” with guest host Dana Bash. “Why there’s been no indictments, we don’t know.” Nadler listed the Trump Tower meeting — which has been the subject of numerous false reports — and the way Trump “pressured the FBI to go easy, to stop investigating Flynn,” and Trump firing Comey as evidence of the alleged “collusion.”Bash pointed out

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., vowed to take the fight over getting special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report released to the public all the way to the Supreme Court. In an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, Nadler said House Democrats are poised to issue subpoenas and would “absolutely” take the matter to the high court if necessary. “We´ll try to negotiate. We´ll try everything else first, but if we have to, yes, we will certainly issue subpoenas to get that information,” Nadler said. When asked how long he would give the Justice Department

The San Antonio City Council has rejected the inclusion of Chick-fil-A from the new Food, Beverage and Retail Prime Concession Agreement for the San Antonio International Airport. The city has banned the chicken chain from setting up shop in the airport due to the company’s alleged ‘legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior.’ In a statement, a rep for Chick-fil-A said they would ‘still welcome the opportunity to have a thoughtful dialogue with the city council.’ Wayfarers passing through San Antonio International Airport will be out of luck if they’re craving Chick-fil-A’s crispy chicken or waffle fries, as the city council has banned

Rep. Maxine Waters showed no sign of slowing her calls to impeach President Trump after special counsel Robert Mueller’s report found no evidence of Russian collusion. “This president has a way of trying to get into people’s heads and indoctrinate them,” Ms. Waters, a Calfornia Democrat who chairs the House Financial Services Committee, told MSNBC’s Joy Reid on Sunday. “He’s been saying ‘no collusion, ‘no collusion,’ ‘no collusion’ over and over again for a long time now, and he’s going try to conclude that this report is proof that there is no collusion,” she said.
