Calling Out Around the World
SteynOnline, by Mark Steyn

All jihad is local, but all "Islamophobia" is global. So, if a Muslim of Afghan origin shoots up a gay nightclub in Florida and kills 49 people, that´s just one crazed loner and no broader lessons can be discerned from his act. On the other hand, if a white guy shoots up two mosques in New Zealand and kills 50 people, that indicts us all, and we need to impose worldwide restraints on free speech to make sure it doesn´t happen again. I´m ecumenical enough to mourn the dead in both gay clubs and mosques,

I am Islamophobic. I pay attention to the news and extrapolate (sometimes) my opinions from intelligent news. I have a closely followed filter.

We need to stop reacting at all to the charges of Islamophobia. So what if we are cautious? I ran across two sullen-looking middle easterners--young men--hanging about our port in Lyon, with backpacks on the ground by their sides. Did I want to linger in that area? No. So sue me.

Any liberal pulls the Islamophobia and racist labels to end discussion and silence conservative opinion. They know what they are doing, and it works for them. But we need to end the knee-jerk reaction of being horrified and becoming silent.

These young people today don´t realize what real racism is.

I´m just weary of all these labels and how we are programmed to react to them.

Well, Mark, the rules aren’t the same. While no one will say it, our Muslim brothers are too stupid and too backwards, too 7th century, to have 21st century rules applied to them. They always are a special case.

I told the first dozen readers, hey, he is already on the list. Then it dawned on me. I love watching the miserable Creepy Porn Lawyer suffer for lying about My President.(Snip) Last year, Creepy Porn Lawyer was living large. During the campaign a horsefaced hooker extorted a settlement from The Donald over an unverified claim that he had slept with her. She then hired Creepy Porn Lawyer to overturn her nondisclosure agreement so she could make mo´ money off a book deal and the like. The media made Creepy Porn Lawyer a star.

High-profile attorney Mark Geragos is Michael Avenatti’s co-conspirator in an alleged extortion scheme unveiled Monday by federal prosecutors, according to the Wall Street Journal. Geragos represents Empire actor Jussie Smollett, who is accused of staging a hate crime against himself. Geragos was the lead attorney in the grievance filed by Colin Kaepernick against the NFL. In which the former 49er accused the NFL of collusion, in an attempt to keep him from re-entering the league as punishment Snip) It is unknown whether Geragos, who was not named in the criminal complaint, has been arrested or cooperating with investigators.

The special counsel Robert Mueller´s Russia investigation could cost up to $35 million once all the expenses are tallied. (Snip)including direct spending and component expenses, Mueller´s investigation cost about $25 million up to September 2018. We´re still waiting on the final report for the last six months of the investigation, but based on the total costs outlined in the first three reports — $6.8 million, $10 million, and $8.5 million — the entire investigation could cost somewhere between $32 million and $35 million.

On March 4, 2017, President Donald John Trump tweeted that Obama had wiretapped him. Earlier, a front page story in the New York Times on Inauguration Day had quoted transcripts from the wiretapping. Quickly, Democrats changed their tune. Anna Giaritelli of the Washington Examiner on Match 5 filed what seemed to be a minor story, "Democratic Sen. Chris Coons backtracks on Trump campaign-Russia claim." Her story began, "Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., on Sunday said he was not aware of any collusion between President Trump´s campaign and Russian officials(Snip) Well, well, well. Coons had proof, then poof, he had no proof.

The release on Sunday afternoon of Attorney General William Barr’s four-page summary of the Mueller report confirmed what everyone with a few brain cells and common sense knew two years ago: there was no collusion between Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Russian government. While the charge was ludicrous on its face, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report has now removed all doubt surrounding it. The shame of it is that the Mueller investigation—driven by hyperpartisanship and using the power of the legal and justice system to litigate political and policy differences by those who refused to accept the

The Southern Poverty Law Center is misnamed for the following reasons: 1) SOUTHERN: Despite the fact that its headquarters are located in Alabama, it is aggressively anti-Southern by dint of the fact that it views Southern history as one giant stain against all things good; 2) POVERTY: Its endowment is close to a half-billion dollars, dwarfing that of the NRA and even the ACLU; 3) LAW: It is very selective in what laws it deems worthy of defending: For example, it equates the enforcement of current immigration laws with “hate.”

Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone, hardly a fan of President Donald John Trump, had good news: Russiagate is the death of American media. He compared the press carrying of Democrat water in this case to the media´s unquestioning belief in government that Saddam Hussein had enough weapons of mass destruction to warrant an invasion in 2003. That seems an apt comparison. We in the media wanted to believe a war was justified, and so we never questioned what we were told. Worthless is the man or organization that does not learn from the past.

WASHINGTON — Attorney General William Barr spent Saturday reviewing the special counsel’s confidential report on the Trump-Russia investigation, but Barr’s “principal conclusions” summary for Congress was not coming for at least another day. No summary for Judiciary Committee leaders — or the public — just yet, said a senior Justice Department official, speaking only on condition of anonymity because the person wasn’t authorized to publicly discuss the review process. Barr has said he expected to send his version to the lawmakers as soon as this weekend after determining what should be made public.
