H.R. 1: Democrats Act to Strip
State Powers Over Elections

PJ Media, by J. Christian Adams

Original Article

Posted By:MissMolly, 1/12/2019 4:30:19 AM

If you thought the midterm elections had problems, wait until you learn about Nancy Pelosi’s plan to terminate state control over American elections. Democrats in Congress have announced their top legislative priority, and it isn’t health care, immigration, or taxes. Instead, they want to centralize power over elections in Washington, D.C. H.R. 1 is number one on the legislative agenda because it is the number one priority of House Democrats, leftist groups, deep-pocketed dark money, and those who use election process rules to help win elections -- or at least to cause chaos. The bill is a 571-page dreamscape of wild wishes

They are getting so bold they might as well just call it what it is, the "legalizing election fraud" bill. Or maybe the "Democrats win all elections" bill.

There are no national elections in the U.S.
There are state and local elections, and there are state elections to select electors who in turn select the President of the U.S.
I realize that such a fact means nothing to leftist loons, but there it is.

My only concern when it comes to national control of state rule is "ballot harvesting" after the polls close. I also question the veracity of the early voting, phony absentee ballots, mail-ins and especially online ballots.

This is a complicated mess, but when ballots are harvested weeks after the polls close it is riddled with fraud. Several states had rules that gave limited times for the ballots to be submitted to the central election board, but the harvesting went on for weeks. Some were less than an hour and others gave several hours. When that limit is reached, that should be the count, PERIOD.

Then there are the voting machines?????

This is simply playing to the howling Left base. There is no hope that the SCOTUS will permit any law that overturns several high court rulings and attempts to change the Constitution without amending it. It won´t even come that far. But it provides a good look into their dark totalitarian minds.

Each STATE has its own election laws as to how voting is promulgated.

Most only allow CITIZENS to vote. There are some states who have allowed for balloting that is "provisional" that is often counted, but is supposed to ONLY be counted if residency can be verified, such as new moves before election day takes place and voting credentials can be properly issued.

Then you have the states where Election DAY doesn´t mean anything and "vote ´harvesting" through UNOFFICIAL means allows for the election to drag out until enough paid ballots can be counted.

Rather than to CERTIFY that the ACTUAL PERSON voted IN PERSON by means of a "VOTER ID", especially one with a photo of the voter, false claims are made that this system of verification is wrong-- and so must allow for variances in the rules so the federales control everything.

The right to vote means EVERYTHING. CITIZENSHIP and what constitutes a citizen of these United States is under attack and the steady influx of the invasion forces using "motor-voter" as some sort of absolute standard for voting won´t work to prove citizenship. Illegal aliens can get permits to drive--

The government already confiscates our money for taxes, but now they want to confiscate our rights to vote. Pelosi would have money from other states flow to Taxifornia to pay for illegals there.

Let Taxifornia pay for its OWN and let the other states take care of themselves.

Any further proof needed that the democrat party is made up of hard core communists who wish to impose a Stalinist dictatorship over this country?

Why does the Good Lord allow demons in human disguise like Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, Clinton to live such long lives and never, ever have the evil they inflict on others ever boomerang back onto themselves.

Why o why do so many Americans vote for this evil and their own destruction?

The nuttier the better- It is all supposed to die in the Senate. The object of this lunatic idea is to give the Democrats campaigning in 2020 the power to display what obstructionists the Republicans in the Senate are. This, believe it or not, is the Democratic Party plan to retake the Senate in 2020. It´s almost too stupid to believe- but that´s how they are thinking they can win.

As far as I care, voter fraud...especially an immigrant voting before they take the oath of citizenship...should carry a prison term of ten years per count, and encouraging an ineligible person to vote should have a twenty year prison term.

This H.R.1 should be laughed out of Congress for a) being anti-constitutional and b) violating several relevant Supreme Court rulings.

But then, I realize our elected "betters" don´t listen to the likes of little old me.

Just remember: Saddam Hussein got 100% of the votes with 100% of people voting.
Now that there is real democracy.
Unfortunately for HR 1, our Constitution establishes a union of States and not a democracy. We have representative government, not direct election. You could look it up. Otherwise there could have been no Civil War. Some States seceded--get it?
It is easy to get 100% of the vote. Just give folks one choice. One man, one vote, one time. Then rule for life. Just one check box on the ballot.
It is a shame that the Dem majority in the House can find nothing better to do than abolish the Constitution, which they just swore to uphold. I mean that there are no problems except a lack of a total Democratic majority.
And you wouldn´t even have to be literate to vote! Just check the box.

Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have much in common with the character Fortunato in Edgar Allan Poe’s short story, “The Cask of Amontillado.” Having been lured into a political oubliette and chained to a wall, they are now being systematically immured by a man upon whom they have heaped countless insults. Like Poe’s ill-fated character, they hadn’t sobered up enough from their recent successes to realize that their antagonist was leading them into a trap when he declared in front of the cameras during their December White House meeting, “I am proud to shut down the government for border security.”

If Oregon Governor Kate Brown has her way, the Beaver State will become the first to require universal home visits for newborn children in the care of their own parents. Senate Bill 526, introduced this month in the Oregon Legislative Assembly as part of Brown´s budget, orders the Oregon Health Authority to "study home visiting by licensed health care providers." Lawmakers went so far as to declare that SB 526 is an "emergency" measure — one that requires a resolution by the end of the year. Citing unnamed “former law enforcement sources and others,” the New York Times reports that “in the days after President Trump fired James B. When Nancy Pelosi was sworn in as speaker of the House earlier this month, she promised the American people renewed congressional vigor. Congress, she solemnly declared, is “coequal to the presidency and judiciary,” and House Democrats would act accordingly. Democratic partisans masquerading as public intellectuals have similarly rediscovered the virtues of legislative power, touting the importance of Congress as a coequal branch of government. The problem with this? Congress is not coequal. It is superior. The notion of coequality of the branches is a myth that has been popularized over the past half century, during the rise

Joseph Lieberman, the former Connecticut senator and Democratic vice presidential candidate, is working for a company he once called a national security threat. In November, Lieberman registered as a lobbyist for ZTE, a Chinese telecom giant with close links to the country’s government. The ex-Senator told Politico that, despite his registration, he wouldn’t actually be lobbying for the firm. Rather, he hoped to “raise the level of trust in ZTE.” Lieberman certainly should understand the trust deficit the company faces. In 2010, he signed a letter saying ZTE and another Chinese telecom company, Huawei, could threaten American national security.
