White House slams NYT report
that FBI investigated whether
Trump was a national security risk

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders slammed a New York Times report on Friday that said the FBI opened an inquiry into President Donald Trump shortly after he fired FBI Director James Comey that centered on whether the commander in chief was a national security threat to his own country. "This is absurd," Sanders said in a statement provided to Politico. "James Comey was fired because he’s a disgraced partisan hack, and his Deputy Andrew McCabe, who was in charge at the time, is a known liar fired by the FBI." According to the Times´ report, the FBI´s investigation was related to whether Trump had obstructed

I now see the NYT as a car catapulting down a mountain road, without brakes, suddenly losing a wheel because of its rate of speed. They are truly gone over the edge in their visceral hate and "fake news" writings again using "unnamed sources" about President Trump.

It’s more likely the FBI opened that investigation to shield their own higher ups corruption, after all they are the ultimate “deep state” entity in DC and don’t like outsiders to step on their turf. That’s pretty evident when they can get away with telling Congressional oversight committees that they can’t answer Congressional questions because they have an open investigation.

Look at it this way, the Russians are always going to be out there so there will always be ongoing FBI investigations targeting the Russians, and apparently anyone who has talked with a Russian. So in reality there is no effective congressional oversight, now or never.

Last night on MSNBC the bald host with the thick glasses was treating this as the story of the century. All the guests concurred. They sounded like the NYT and the FBI were the most wonderful and truthful organizations around. It was like none of them knew that the hierarchy of the FBI hated Trump and loved Hillary. Do they not know of the skulduggery of the FBI the last several years? I guess not. It was surreal.

And supposedly what ignited their fears was DJT´s wisecrack that :
"If the Russians are listening, maybe they could find Hillary´s missing emails..." It was a pointed dig at the FBI, if, iirc, many believed the emails were being hidden by the FBI.

I ROFL last night with MSNBC´s breaking news that this joke was the basis for their newest charge that Trump is a traitorous Russian plant.

The night before it was Manafort passing info (polls) to the RUSSIANS ! Ooops..turned out it was Ukranians. Never mind.

The media has no shame...no longer debatable.

Even the idiot on C-Span read the headlines this morning and proceeded to read the front page omitting that they found nothing on Trump. C-Span is turning left just by the stories they read and how they pick and read the liberal tweets. Also the woman who puts the calls through on C-Span put more left wing calls through than right wing.

As my late father said to my mother when I was a wee bairn way back in the mid-1940´s after she had dared to suggest that we might want to have the Sunday Times in the house, because she liked their book reviews and the crossword puzzle, " . . .

[Well, I´m sorry, but I CAN´T TELL YOU WHAT HE SAID, because Lucianne would banish me from her forum forever.]

Loosely translated, he said, "I won´t have that filthy Communist Rag in my house, and don´t you EVER suggest it again. PERIOD!"

The year was 1946, and THAT was THAT.

Father, you see, had a clear recollecton of the days of Walter Duranty, as wellas innate political wisdom, and everyone on both sides of my family hated Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his lisping, high-voiced buck-toothed bride with virulent passion. They KNEW. you- see, what that vile influence would be bound to spawn, –– and they were right.

So, I come by my arch-conservative views honestly. ;-)

Unfortunately this is sure to ruin the reputation of the FBI with most thinking Americans if the remaining FBI leadership, most of who were appointed by James Comey, right after President Trump fired Comey based upon his Constitutional authority, opened FBI counterintelligence and criminal investigations targeting President Trump as a national security risk and as being a covert Russian spy based upon obviously bogus predication.

The Congress should immediately demand that the FBI advise Congress as to who authorized such investigations and have them appear before Congress and completely lay out all the predication, and the origin of the predication, that they used to open those investigations.

Enough with the excuses that the FBI is conducting ongoing investigations and must therefore keep such predicate secret from Congressional oversight. Clearly the Russians are always going to be out there and the FBI is always going to be investigating them, so if Congress allows the FBI to skate on those issues there will never be any competent Congressional oversight of the FBI.

Now that we have the White House, I believe President Trump needs to duplicate those efforts against Ms. Pelosi, Sen. Schumer and the clown car full of 2029 Dem candidates.

The Dem. Party has shown their willingness to use Russian and other foreign governments to work against US interests since Teddy Kennedy worked to get the Ruskies to help in the 84 election.

After more than two years of investigation into the Trump/Russian thing, there is zip, zero, nada evidence that Trump had anything to do with Russian anything. The biggest problem with continued false narrative by the media, is that more people than ever are watching and reading this false info resulting in more demosluts being elected. The younger generation having been schooled in anti-Americanism will result in this country turning into a socialist hell hole. They will have the mindset of living with less and expecting less in their lives, so the whole living better than your parents idea will have no meaning to them.

Washington - A Republican lawmaker advising President Donald Trump said he is encouraging the president to reopen the government for several weeks to continue negotiating with Democrats over funding for a U.S.-Mexico border wall before the president takes the more drastic step of declaring a national emergency. But that may be wishful thinking, given that Sen. Lindsey Graham also says Trump still wants to reach a deal for the wall before agreeing to reopen shuttered government departments.
