Families of Sandy Hook shooting victims
win legal victory in lawsuit
against InfoWars, Alex Jones

ABC News, by Aaron Katersky

Original Article

Posted By:danvillebill, 1/11/2019 4:56:41 PM

A judge in Connecticut has granted the families’ discovery requests, allowing them access to, among other things, InfoWars’ internal marketing and financial documents. The judge has scheduled a hearing next week to decide whether to allow the plaintiffs’ attorneys to depose Jones. The families sued Jones and InfoWars for defamation and accused him of perpetuating a “monstrous, unspeakable lie: that the Sandy Hook shooting was staged and that the families who lost loved ones that day are actors who faked their relatives’ deaths.”

This should be interesting. If the court finds the Jones deliberately lied and it costs him, the alphabet networks best take notice.

I detest Alex Jones. It could come down to whether the plaintiffs are public figures. If so then they have to show actual malice on Jones part.

Legal discovery works both ways. Conspiracy theorists, and not just Jones, have contended that there were multiple shooters, and that it is possible that nobody actually died at Sandy Hook, that the incident was a "black op", in order to give the Obama administration the emotional leverage it needed to order a nationwide ban on private ownership of firearms. Check out some of the videos questioning the official story of Sandy Hook on YouTube. Many of these videos are not even connected to Jones. Jone´s attorneys could demand the exhumation of some of the graves of the victims, to see if there are any bodies in the coffins. I hope Jones fights this blatant attempt to take him off the air.

More judicial thuggery.

I could see it if Jones directly and specifically named these individuals as having been active participants in criminal activity, but to call an event in which they may or may not have participated a fake event is surely covered by the First Amendment.

I have a pretty sane friend who believes that the Sandy Hook thing was staged, He points out photos and videos of individuals who were at Sandy Hook, and compares them to images from other horrendous events, and a lot of them sure do look quite a bit alike. And that is not the only thing that makes an open mind go "Hmmm!?" I´m ´agnostic´ about it either way, but the way things are going, I wouldn´t put ANYTHING past the Deep State....

Anyway, if they can go after Alex Jones for questioning events, what is to stop them for taking ANY of us peasants, who post any sort of conspiracy theories to forums, news sites, facebook, twitter etc., to court and demanding our private records etc. and then probably demand our money?

I miss the old U.S. Constitution.

InfoWars is a comedy site. While not as entertaining as The Onion, the satire contained there is often poignant and there is an audience for that kind of thing.
These families feel guilt, and think that money will sooth that wound.
Or, they are just greedy.

Jones has a nasty habit of going one step too far in his conspiracy theories. Most us the caveats: "...could it be?" or "...is it possible?" But, Jones skips all that and goes right to "This is real..." to put out his crazy ideas and it ends up being lies instead of conjecture.

Pro Wrestling is not promoting conspiracy theories as stated fact. Their acting performances never go outside their little circle of actors and promoters. they do not come out and state categorical lies about cases where people lost their kids to an insane murderer. They know where their fantasy ends and where reality begins. Jones does not seem to know that.

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) is leaving, but not quietly. The immensely unpopular Republican has decided to totally trash his party’s judicial agenda. Flake is the key 11th vote on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and he’s not budging until Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell holds a binding vote on a bill protecting Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the Department of Justice’s Russia investigation. It’s frustrating. It’s deplorable. And it just comes to show you why Flake would never have won re-election if he decided to execute a suicidal banzai charge concerning that effort.

Should we believe the headline, “Drinking four cups of coffee daily lowers risk of death”? How about, “Mouthwash May Trigger Diabetes. . .”? Should we really eat more, not less, fat? And what should we make of data that suggest people with spouses live longer? These sorts of conclusions, from supposedly scientific studies, seem to vary from month to month, leading to ever-shifting “expert” recommendations. However, most of their admonitions are based on flawed research that produces results worthy of daytime TV. Misleading research is costly to society directly because much of it is supported by the federal government

Thirty-six dollars covered four hours of cuddling at a secret location in San Francisco´s Richmond neighborhood. All my life I have reminded fellow Jews in America that we are the luckiest Jews to have ever lived in a non-Jewish country. I know what I’m talking about. I wrote a book on anti-Semitism, taught Jewish history at Brooklyn College, and fought anti-Semitism since I was 21, when Israel sent me into the Soviet Union to smuggle in Jewish religious items and smuggle out Jewish names. Even after the massacre of eleven Jews in a Pittsburgh synagogue, this assessment remains true. But the greatest massacre of Jews in American history is a unique American tragedy.
