´Medicare For All´: After Winning
The House, Democrats Admit They

Socialized Medicine: In the midterm elections, Democrats told voters that all they wanted to do was preserve existing insurance protections in ObamaCare. But after winning the House, they revealed their true intention: to socialize health care any which way they can. Last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi agreed on hearings for "Medicare for all," which would effectively outlaw all private insurance in favor of a single, government-run plan. ´´It´s a huge step forward to have the speaker´s support,´´ Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., head of the "Medicare for all" House caucus,

They want to turn us into Cuba, or Venezuela, because we´re easier to control.
It´s been said before, when they control your health care, they control your life and death.
It´s actually time to do to health care what was done to the telephone, mail delivery and airlines.
It´s time to deregulate and open up health care to real competition! End the health care cartels! Remove their ability to engage in illegal cost shifting practices. Bust up the health care Oligopolies.
And while you´re at it, the Tech ones too.

Bernie Sanders and Gov. Yee-Haa of Vermont tried to push Socialized Medicine through in their State a few years ago.

When cooler heads ran the numbers, Vermont would have been bankrupt in next to no time.

Obviously Bernie learned nothing from this.

This is nothing more than a scam to increase the size and power of Democrat-controlled employee unions.

The way the left will take health care away from the groups they don´t like is to let government control it.
I have no doubt that most of the lefties in the government will make it nearly impossible for a Southern white male to get an aspirin. Hillary was setting the stage for how she was going to treat most of middle America by characterizing them as deplorable.

I get treated very badly by Social Security office every time I call. Equally as bad when I go to the local office. My black friends have no trouble at all and get their problems solved with one phone call. My issue took nearly a year to solve and even my congressman failed to get it resolved after two attempts. Finally got it solved with a visit to a SS office I heard about at work located in a distant community where all the employees were old white ladies without a chip on their shoulder. I felt like I had walked into a SS office run by Chick Fil A. Everyone was smiling and nice.

The left has a history of destroying groups they don´t like. The Russians killed about 30 million. The Germans killed about 6 million. Mao killed perhaps 100 million. Pol pot killed several million. N Vietnam killed a couple million in the two years after we pulled out. Castro imprisons political opposition till they die in jail. Ortega solved the native Latin American problem in Nicaragua.

Yes, we have Medicare but we pay for it our of our Social Security. That payment is taken out each month before our checks are posted. We have to get a supplemental health insurance on top of that to really get quality health care. Nothing is free. Remember that!

Here we go again. Is the a cosmic feeling of Deja Vu all over again? Isn´t the disaster of Obamacare recent enough and the political disaster it proved to be for the Dems´ enough to give them a clue to the toxicity of messing around with the medical system in the US. The only benefit Obamacare administered was to Big Medicine and the insurance companies. Too many people saw the cost of their insurance and medical costs rising to unaffordable levels. So here we go again. The Dems´ dog and pony show is to cover the fact that they have nothing to offer the country as policies except warmed over socialism which has led to country after country to bankruptcy and decline.

Not sure all those union employees who have negotiated medical care plans will be happy to be dumped into the general population.

Or, how about those Congress people and their families. We should demand they be the first to switch their Cadillac plans into the Medicare system.

What the Democrats truly want is a whole bunch of new government workers (doctors, nurses, staff, etc), and the votes they will regularly provide.

And, like many government jobs, patronage will be prevalent with "favored" people getting preferential treatment too.

The elite will go along with this since they won´t need to participate because they will have their own concierge service care at their disposal.

#14 is correct Medicare takes almost $300 dollars a month out of our SS checks each month. We also pay almost $500 a month for our supplemental policies. That´s eight hundred bucks a month for a certainly non-Cadillac health insurance plan. You need that supplemental to encourage doctors to accept you. Most are not interested in treating you if all you have is Medicare parts A and B. What will happen to those who can´t afford basic Medicare or a supplemental? The rest of us taxpayers will be forced to subsidize that too.

Let´s see how far this goes when the big unions find their private coverage is banned. Also wonder how the hundreds of thousands of insurance company employees and agents will feel when they find out the Democrats are going to make them jobless.

The hospitals also charge the privately insured more to make up for the losses they take on medicare. I also predict hospitals will go broke and the government will have to take them over. This is probably what the Dems want as the end result.

Brexit: Don´t be confused by Britain´s Brexit vote. The parliamentary loss by British Prime Minister Theresa May´s Brexit plan is a defeat for her, not for Britain´s ultimate pullout from the failed EU. Brexit, at this late hour, remains very much alive. The deal that May struck with the EU, after nearly 18 months of non-stop talks, satisfied almost no one. For Britain´s hard-left Labor Party, leaving the increasingly socialist EU was never on the agenda. So any Brexit deal, of any sort, would not be satisfactory.

With no end in sight to the partial shutdown of the government, President Trump hasn´t convinced a majority of the public to back his position on the border wall at the center of the budget impasse. The latest IBD/TIPP poll shows that 53% of the public opposes construction of a wall along the southern border of the U.S. It found that 46% support the wall. Trump has managed to change some minds, however. Overall support for the wall climbed by three points since IBD/TIPP last polled on this question just before the November midterm elections.

With the celebratory ringing in of the New Year, some 21 states, the nation´s capital and a growing number of cities across the country will impose a distinctly non-celebratory cost on their small businesses: A mandatory increase in the minimum wage.
