Shannon Bream asks if the left’s ‘sudden
love’ for Bush 41 is ‘just a ruse’ to slam
Trump. The response is overwhelming

The death of former President George H.W. Bush seems to have struck the left with a case of the feels as they have rolled out endless plaudits for the 41st president. But many, like Fox News’ Shannon Bream, have speculated that liberals’ sudden love and obsession over Bush may be just a ruse to bash President Donald Trump. Is the left suddenly discovering they love @GeorgeHWBush so they can use his legacy as a tool to go after Pres @realDonaldTrump? @BritHume weighs in on that and much more! 11p ET @FoxNews @FoxNewsNight pic.twitter.com/zImmDn6Ffb — Shannon Bream (@ShannonBream) December 6, 2018

And thus it ever was! When Reagan died, the media loved him. While he was President, they hated him. When John McCain ran, all hate. When he died, love story. They ridiculed GHWB throughout his presidency. Now, you´d think they´ve discovered a new planet. There is no more news. There is only propaganda, feeding a world socialist policies. We don´t want to be Venezuela, or Cuba, or anywhere else those policies haven´t worked. Freedom is ours, and we must do whatever it takes to keep it. Trump is on our side!

One thing I noticed is virtually no mention of the first Iraq war. Regardless of one´s opinion on it, the war was a pivotal moment in history. Iraq may have dominated the entire Middle East if not forcefully responded to.

#4 - You need to study the dimoRATs much, MUCH more. I will not presume anything about you, other than what I just stated. I was raised in a very political family. That´s why, in my nearly 50 years of voting, only ONCE have I voted for a dimoRAT - and it was a only a local election. For well over 150 years they have been The Party Of Treason.

Bush 41 did a lot of things to undermine Reaganism. Like giving Ross Perot an opening that allowed the Clintons to walk right in. Like taxes. Still, the left hated him until he was dead, and tehn tehy pretended not to hate him. Compare that with McCain, whom the left loved for his backstabbing right up until he was nominated and turned instantly into Satan. But then they loved him again when he spent every waking moment sharpening sticks to jab into Trump´e eye. All you need to know about liberals is that they lie about everything, they don´t have an honest molecule in their dried up hate husks, and whatever they say or do, it´s dishonest.

I did love it when one of the eulogist’s lauded 41 in DC, when he said, he was humble in victory and knew how to lose graciously in defeat. I wished there had been a camera on Hill.

The funeral was dignified, traditional and respectful. Just as one would expect from an old patrician family known for their dignity and respect for tradition. Despite the distant croaking from the lily pads, the topic is not the funeral but the comments from the bull frogs in the Big Swamp. In that context, claiming the funeral itself is being construed by opponents as an effort to slam Trump is the definition of Orwellian. But, then again, it’s always easier to deflect the conversation than defend mendacious behavior. Ribbett.

Leftist politicians and mainstream media are hypocrites to the nth degree. While making an allowance for some of the accolades they are paying to President G. H. W. Bush to be sincere, they are giddy with the opportunity to “slam” President Trump. For one example, the number of political and mainstream media personalities referencing/explaining President Bush’s “thousand points of light” is quite likely their effort to insult President Trump’s rhetorical “confusion” about the meaning of the “thousand points of light.”

Another focus has been on the “behavior” of President Trump at the National Cathedral’s memorial service: 1) The front row seating atmosphere upon the arrival of President and Mrs. Trump; 2) The criticism for what appears to be the President and Mrs. Trump not reciting The Apostles’ Creed; 3) The quick departure of President and Mrs. Trump at the conclusion of the service.

Reality Check: 1) The “atmosphere” was a solemn event and President Trump’s manners were appropriate—dignified. 2) An individual’s participation in any religious event is personal, and observed in their own way; Scripture teaches, “Judge not.” 3) For security reasons, every President and First Lady arrive last, leave first.

President Trump is who he is. He doesn´t fake it; he´s real... maybe rough, maybe uncouth at times, maybe lacking rhetorical elegance, he´s blunt.

He is real, unlike the plastic phonies sitting to his and Melania´s left.

What a joke: the Os and Cs reading the Apostle´s Creed? heh heh

God hates hypocrites and liars. Jesus said their mouths are "open sepulchres."
We should all tremble.

Possibly excepting Jimmy Carter, none of those folks give a fig what God says in His Word.

#4, the funeral services were very dignified, but the Left managed to find ways to attack President Trump, as they sat in their perches hurling invectives at him. They make sure NOT to remind their audiences how easily with a mean spirit, they spilled out their venom in order to diminish the Presidency when 41 was POTUS.

Pray for President Turmp. He is under vicious, unrelenting attack.

Do not have cable access and only limited network access but the coverage that I have seen of rhe passing and subsequent reportage re President George H. W. Bush has contained lots of both overt and veiled comparisons to president Trump - and none of them have been positive.

The Left has praised the former President breathlessly but it appeared to be because he accepted their insults and mockery with humor, dignity, and grace. What they appear to like about the former President Bush is that he was a gentleman - always - and didn´t openly and angrily confront their untruths, misrepresentations, and criticisms of he and his family.

The praise of the Left and especially that of the Leftist media is faint and is only all about them - they really ought to be apologizing and searching their hearts for the reasons why people who are decent, good, and espouse traditional values upset them so.

Another day, another avalanche of news about the President: berating Democratic leaders on camera; unceremoniously announcing the departure of his chief of staff; calling his former Secretary of State “dumb as a rock.” It never lets up. Trump is a ubiquitous, suffocating presence in American life. It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
