Cheering and waving crowds have lined the route of the special funeral train carrying George H.W. Bush to his final resting place this afternoon, as his casket journeys 70 miles from Houston to Texas A&M. The train´s sixth car, a converted baggage hauler called ´Council Bluffs,´ has been fitted with transparent sides to allow mourners lining the tracks views of Bush´s flag draped coffin. Following an emotional service at St. Martin´s Episcopal Church in Houston, Bush was taken by hearse to Spring, Texas, where a joint services military honor guard carried his casket onto the train that will take him

They have talked so much this week of how warm President Bush was to Clinton, but I remember how snarky Clinton was to Bysh 43 when he came into office and all through 43´s presidency. Yet, the Bush family continued to embrace HillBilly. Sure different from the way they have all treated Trump. Good-bye HW.

My God. The service in Houston is as nice - perhaps even nicer -than the one at the National Cathedral. I thank God for this witness to His glory, seen and heard in the beauty of the music, the gospel readings, and the testimonies to a life well-lived. I simply cannot find anything but joy in seeing this. We don´t worship anyone, not even with the last name of Bush. But what a civilized ceremony to mark the end of a good life.

This is what the Left wants to destroy, folks.

True Americans who loved President Bush, despite what the liberal media said about him while he was in office. Those were the people who stood in the cold in DC and lined the train route. Again, despite the media, I believe most Americans love their country, religion, and presidents who tried their best while they served their country.

Although I voted for G.H.W. Bush twice and preferred him as the presidential nominee before Reagan was given the nod I have to admit to being a little perplexed by this funeral undertaking. It was like the Lincoln and JFK funerals put together and than some. For all his accomplishments and those of his family he was not a sitting president when he died nor was his son still in office. He was no doubt a fine man and worked hard all his life in service to his country but that can be said of thousands if not millions of other Americans who died in obscurity without a hundredth of a fraction of the pomp surrounding HW’s funeral. I’m not really complaining but as I said I am perplexed. I don’t begrudge the family their magnificent tribute to him but just think almost a complete week of coverage was over-the-top and in contrast to the man’s celebrated modesty. And quite possibly it was all covered by the press just to jab President Trump because they sure loved knocking and berating H.W. while he was in office.

I never hated the man, but I did despise a goodly portion of his politics.

I wouldn´t walk to the back window to watch the train go by.

I am amazed that so many have been suckered by days of non-stop media coverage.

Federal prosecutors in New York are investigating President Donald Trump’s inaugural committee amid suspicion that a portion of the $107 million it raised was misspent, according to a report. The Wall Street Journal states the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office is in the beginning stages of probing whether the committee’s most prominent donors made sizable contributions “in exchange for access to the incoming Trump administration, policy concessions or to influence official administration positions.”The Journal reports: The investigation partly arises out of materials seized in the federal probe of former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen’s business dealings, according to people familiar with the

Another day, another avalanche of news about the President: berating Democratic leaders on camera; unceremoniously announcing the departure of his chief of staff; calling his former Secretary of State “dumb as a rock.” It never lets up. Trump is a ubiquitous, suffocating presence in American life. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. The modern presidency is the framers’ worst nightmare, a flatly unconstitutional concentration of power.
