White House urged to reinstate

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) on Thursday called on the White House to reinstate CNN correspondent Jim Acosta´s press pass, which was revoked a day earlier after his fiery exchange with President Donald Trump during a press conference. In a statement quoted by The Hill, the CPJ said that journalists should be "able to do their job without fear that a tough series of questions will provoke retaliation." "The White House should immediately reinstate Jim Acosta´s press pass, and refrain from punishing reporters by revoking their access — that´s not how a free press works," CPJ advocacy director

Don’t give it back. At least, not yet. Make him sweat it out. It is important for reporters like him to learn some respect for the office of the President.

President Trump answered questions Wednesday for about an hour and a half. That doesn´t sound like suppression to me.

In fact, he stood in front of a hostile press and answered questions, insulting, depraved, stupid questions.

The leftist media would take over the White House and demand that the President follow their directions if they thought they could get away with it.

CNN should transfer Acosta to Moscow, Russia so he can do his act at Putin’s news conferences and see that happens?

Not now not ever for Acosta. Barred forever along with CNN. Make them beg to come back and then make them beg for re acceptance & strict rules on questioning. One question one answer and then the next reporter. No follow ups. Shout outs barred immediately. Raised hands silently no shot outs. No talking also.

Acosta was all about making himself the news, and everything else he represented as news was generally fake.

When Acosta was grandstanding at news conferences, he was also taking away a lot of time that other media representatives sitting there could have used to ask legitimate questions. That those other media representatives sat there like bumps on a log and did not shoot Acosta down as he was grandstanding should tell you something!

Get out your gloves and scarves, Columbia. After a weekend full of chilly rain, forecasters are predicting the area may be getting a little snow. A mix of snow and rain is expected to fall on the Columbia-area Sunday night into Monday morning, National Weather Service Forecaster Jeff Linton said Friday. Because of the rain that is expected to accompany the icy precipitation, Linton said the snow likely will not stick or accumulate on the ground. If the forecast shifts and temperatures drop more than already expected, that increases the chance of a white dusting on the grass Monday morning, he
