A juvenile judge in Houston freed at least seven youngsters brought to his court the day after he lost reelection to a Democrat. Judge Glenn Devlin, who is known for sending youths to detention, simply asked whether or not they planned to kill anyone before turning them loose. Public defenders said he complained ´that´s what the voters want´ as he indiscriminately freed people. The youths were facing a range of charges but at least four of them were facing serious accusations of aggravated robbery. He should have just gone ahead and pronounced them not guilty and apologized to them for having traumatized them for arresting them in the first place. And offered them free bullets for their guns for the next year.

Do not for a minute not think there was a coordinated effort by the Left to target those 59 judge positions.

That is not an accident they all went Democrat, when most people don´t know anything about any judges, and likely don´t vote on them at all, leaving this slate open for this type of scheme.

You can look at this two ways. First the judge is being petulant over losing, or second, he knows what these liberal judges will do once they take their seats. I´ll go along with the latter because it sends a message to these liberals and should give them second thoughts about being lenient with their sentencing. If they are lenient and go soft on these alleged criminals, they will look bad. But then, it´s a resume enhancement as far as the libs are concerned and they will continue to vote Dem. The judge though, is right saying that its what the liberals want.

Political affiliations of judges are a useful barometer of their worldview. Consider Ginsberg, Sotomayor, the Wise Latina; you know with great certainty what decisions they will reach. For judges running for elected office, in many cases party affiliation (give or take whether you recognize the person´s name) is all a voter has to go by; news reporters are lazy in reporting which judge let X and so criminal loose, or locked him away.

Dallas county republican judges got wiped out about 15 years ago. This happens in counties when you vote straight ticket democrat. State races are true, but cities and counties all flip.

Kept telling our US-TX 32 Rep Pete ‘my home is actually Fort Lauderdale’ Sessions that immigration was going to sink him with voting, but I guess he was making too much money in DC to really care - he lost this time - RINO.

Now they cage him. A violent thug who’d been bailed out by a nonprofit—only to viciously choke and sexually violate a young woman in the Bronx a week after he was sprung—will stay behind bars for the next 18 years under a plea deal he took Wednesday. Lynneke Burris, 30, of Brooklyn, already had a lengthy rap sheet, including for violent muggings, and had been jailed on a new assault charge when The Bronx Freedom Fund posted his $1,000 bail on April 5. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham delivered a forceful statement Wednesday faulting President Trump for having ´set in motion´ enthusiasm by the enemy in Syria that resulted in the deadly attack there that killed U.S. forces. Graham´s dramatic statement associating Trump´s words with the bloody attack that killed Americans came from a loyalist who has golfed frequently with the president, although he has also tried to the president out of a policy he has called dangerous to Americans. Graham was among the most forceful GOP critics of Trump when he declared victory against ISIS last month and announced the U.S. would withdraw troops.
