Hillary Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said late Friday night that the former secretary of State voluntarily gave up her security clearance in August after reports that she lost the privilge amid her email scandal. Merrill said it was a show of support following the op-ed by former commander of U.S. Special Operations Command Admiral William McRaven offering to surrender his security clearance in protest of President Donald Trump revoking the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan. At the time the it was reported the White House was looking at the possibility of other former Obama officials’ clearances being

When does Hillary have moralistic tendencies? She didn´t do this out of the kindness of her heart, it was a calculated move to what comes later. She needed a ´denial´ excuse.

If we had an actual justice system, Hillary would have given up her clearance as part of her plea deal in 2015 for national security and bribery violations. Instead, Obama had his spineless goons in the FBI :& DOJ close their eyes to numerous criminal violations so that she could run for Obama’s 3rd and 4th terms.

While some senior law enforcement goons have been forced out or demoted in DoJ and FBI, she still has too many left to protect her & Obama. To paraphrase Al Sharpton, “No justice, just tease.”

Security procedures apparently trigger an inquiry if it is officially revoked. She wanted to avoid that, especially for her four "researchers"- who were the real requesters behind Samantha Powers during 2015/16. With the Clintons there is always an angle.

The fact is, nobody gives up a top secret Sc. No one if they do not have to. When PIAPS saw that trump was bold enough to actually snatch away SCs, she panicked. The message was loud and clear. She thought she could avoid the embarrassment of Trump taking her SC so she "voluntarily" surrendered it. Exactly how does one do that?

"Hello, CIA, NSA? Yeah, this is Hillary- Uh, you know that security clearance? Well, uh, you see, I no longer really need it so, uh, I thought- you know.. you guys could take it back?"

"No, Ma´ma. We do not take them back. We just kind of keep you people who do not need them anymore out of the loop, so-to-speak."

"Well, I´m kind of anxious to sort of give it back."

"It´s complicated."

"Are you now a threat to American security?"

"My name is Hillary Clinton- guess!"

"No need to get snarky, Ma´am."

"Just take the damned thing back, already. I don´t want Trump to take it."

"Ah. Too embarrassing, huh? Okay- Booga-ooga-foosh! There, consider your security clearance returned. Have a nice day."

i´m guessing more to this than meets eye. maybe she was being required to "renew" her clearance, which likely required a refreshed background check by FBI. Sensing a trap, she declined to proceed with renewal process.

the notion that she let her renounced her clearance to show solidarity with Brennan is a hoot. I wonder which focus group came up with that. Sounds like the same one that thought up the golden showers/Trump story.

Last weekend, the New York Times (America´s leading Very Serious Newspaper) published an opinion piece from Frank Bruni in which he cautioned the media to learn from their mistakes in 2016: Thomas Patterson of Harvard´s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy has been analyzing that coverage since Trump declared his candidacy for the presidency in 2015. Patterson found that for much of that year, the number of stories about Trump in the country´s most influential newspapers and on its principal newscasts significantly exceeded what his support in polls at the time justified. In 1974, the Watergate investigation was blowing up around the White House, and Congress looked well on its way to impeaching President Richard Nixon. But on January 30 it all came to a standstill as Nixon walked into the Capitol, stood before Congress, and delivered the State of the Union address. Has President Trump suckered Democrats and the Deep State into a trap that will enable a radical downsizing of the federal bureaucracy? In only 5 more days of the already-“longest government shutdown in history” (25 days and counting, as of today), a heretofore obscure threshold will be reached, enabling permanent layoffs of bureaucrats furloughed 30 days or more. Don’t believe me that federal bureaucrats can be laid off? Well, in bureaucratese, a layoff is called a RIF – a Reduction in Force (snip) if the guidelines are followed, bureaucrats can be laid off -- as in no more job

In recent days, many online essays have rightly ripped apart Gillette´s ugly new "We Believe" advertisement. One online critic dubbed it "feel-bad liberalism." (snip) "I guess the guy at the ad agency missed the lesson about not taking a dump on the people you want to buy your stuff," cracked comedian Steven Crowder. "The guy at the ad agency" is actually philosophically unpleasant feminist Kim Gehrig. Hiring her to court the male market is like expecting to accrue impressive rainbow flag sale numbers with spiels from Farrakhan.

Gillette´s new ad, browbeating men through a #MeToo and "toxic masculinity" pitch, supposedly to persuade men to buy their razors, is so revolting it´s possible to think it´s satire. There is also a 30-second version, which doesn´t even seem to be about selling razors: Seriously, did a spy from Schick get into the Procter & Gamble´s advertising agency and concoct an ad very sure to turn potential customers off? Who would want to buy that after such a string of insults? Isn´t ad rule number one to not insult the customer? Well, this one does.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday asked President Donald Trump to reschedule his State of the Union address — or deliver it in writing — as long as the government remains shut down. "Sadly, given the security concerns and unless government re-opens this week, I suggest that we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to the Congress on January 29th," Pelosi wrote in a letter to Trump.

In the past two months, Ruth Bader Ginsburg has fractured three ribs and had two cancerous nodules removed from her left lung. She was absent from oral argument last week and will miss this week’s arguments as well. Doctors say they expect her to be back on the bench in February, and until then she will review transcripts from her home and participate in the court’s decision-making remotely. But her return to work has not quieted critics who say that Ginsburg should have retired long ago and that her health issues are the latest evidence that justices should not be

A family dubbed Britain’s "first transgender family" has announced that they are encouraging the gender transition of their five-year-old son, Jayden. According to the family, Jayden, a biological male, likes dresses and hates "everything about being a boy." The little boy´s "step-dad," Greg Rogers, is a 27-year-old biological female who now identifies as a male. The child’s mother is a 21-year-old woman named Jody. Both Jodi and Greg are furious that concerned citizens (referred to as “trolls” by many U.K.-based outlets) have reported them to social services for apparent child abuse. The couple, however, maintain Jayden — who is on

It’s tough to tell. Does this make the shutdown a bug … or a feature? Nancy Pelosi has asked Donald Trump to put off his State of the Union speech to the joint session of Congress until after the funding issues have been resolved: (Copy of Letter/Tweet) And with that, the new Speaker of the House just made the best case possible for a perpetual shutdown. Kidding! What I meant to say was that Nancy Pelosi has finally sounded a note of wisdom, at least in her reminder that presidents used to just deliver a report in writing to Congress.

For the last 35 years, the snowpack in the West’s mountains has resisted the impacts of global warming. But that could soon change, according to a new study out of Oregon State University. The study, published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, found that although climate change should have caused a steep decrease in snowpack, naturally occurring, decades-long weather variations shielded the Cascades, Sierras and Rockies from some of the effects. Although snow stations have recorded some decline, it hasn’t been statistically significant. But according to the study, without this natural weather variation, snowpack in Oregon could have declined

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) announced on Tuesday that she will form a 2020 presidential exploratory committee, a precursor to officially seeking the Democratic nomination. “I’m filing an exploratory committee for the president of the United States tonight," she said during a taped interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. (Snip) Gillibrand mentioned health care, better public schools, taking on institutional racism, and "corruption and greed in Washington" as motivators and goals for her run, noting that her progressive goals cannot be accomplished without confronting those impediments. "I know that I have the compassion, courage, and the fearless determination

Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke recently questioned the modern-day relevance of the U.S. Constitution and whether the country should still be governed by “the same principles that were set down 230-plus years ago.” “I think that’s the question of the moment: Does this still work?” Mr. O’Rourke asked during a taped conversation with two friends, which he aired to thousands in response to President Trump’s Oval Office address to the American people about the border wall, The Washington Post reported Tuesday. “Can an empire like ours with military presence in over 170 countries around the globe, with trading relationships

Attorney General nominee William Barr said he told President Trump that Robert Mueller is a “straight shooter” when the president once quizzed him about the special counsel’s integrity. Barr, testifying at a Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing on Tuesday, said he talked to Trump about joining the president’s defense team last summer. “He said, ‘Oh you know Bob Mueller, how well do you know Bob Mueller?´” Barr told the panel. He replied that the Barrs and the Muellers were good friends and would remain so even after the investigation was completed. “And he was interested in that, wanted to know
