Senate poll less than a month before election

Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz maintains a sizable lead in his re-election bid, a poll released Thursday shows. With less than a month until the Nov. 6 midterm election, Cruz holds a 9 percentage point lead — 54 to 45 percent, the same lead he held last month — over Democratic challenger U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke of El Paso among likely voters, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll. “Is the Beto bubble bursting or just hissing away with a slow leak?” asked Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

Somebody is spending money out the wazoo to get Beto elected and he´s going nowhere. I hope we´ve seen the last of him but the delusional clowns never seem to go away, they just get more desperate with age. I give you It´s-my-Turn Hillary and Share-the-Wealth Bernie.

I have no reason to trust this poll more than any others. Sowing the seeds of complacency?

Anything less than a double digit butt kicking will be blared as a dim victory. Vote, Texans, vote.

I know Cruz is going to WIN!!! But it has to be a convincing WIN to convince these LIE-beral idiots to go waste their money elsewhere in future elections...

And Ted Cruz is still going to run like it´s a two point race ... which could give him a double digit win.

If I still lived in Texas, I would vote for him. I would have to give him a piece of my mind about what a "donkey" he made of himself at the republican convention, but then I would vote for him.

Feuds are pointless tragedies carried out for political, religious, or personal honor, thrust upon generation after generation, father to son (seldom mother to daughter, let us note). There are the Montagues and Capulets, and there are the Hatfields and McCoys: Shakespeare’s time in fair Verona, and post–Civil War in the verdant Appalachian Mountains. The meandering Tug Fork forms part of the West Virginia–Kentucky border in the Tug River Valley, an especially remote mountainous region. Real-life feuds, as opposed to those generated in the myriad minds of Shakespeare and company, are fueled by complex cultural and economic pressures.

MSNBC analysts from both sides of the aisle hit Texas Democratic Senate candidate Beto O´Rourke for being on a "vanity project" in his approach to the campaign.(Snip) . However, Cruz´s lead in the polls has grown over the past month despite O´Rourke´s impressive haul. "What he´s achieved for that money is he´s now the most unpopular statewide figure in Texas," Republican pollster Chris Wilson said on MSNBC. O´Rourke has run as an unabashed progressive in a state that hasn´t elected a Democrat to statewide office in decades. In a new Quinnipiac poll showing him trailing Cruz by 9 points,

REYNOSA, Mexico — It was the third time Ingrid had tried to make it across an international bridge into Texas. The first time, she said, Mexican officials stopped her on the bridge into Laredo and demanded that she pay $1,500 for her and her two children to cross into the United States, where she planned to seek asylum. A few weeks later, they barred Ingrid — a Mexican permanent resident born in Guatemala, with Mexican-born children — from passing the turnstiles to cross the bridge into Hidalgo, threatening to deport her and rip up her documents. And on Tuesday, a Mexican officer

Robert ´Beto´ O´Rourke is a media darling. The press has showered him with almost as much glowing coverage as liberals across the country have showered him with donations. He´s been swooned over as ´Kennedyesque,´ but not for the most applicable reason. And not too long ago, a handful of polls showed him neck and neck with Sen. Ted Cruz in red Texas. Things appeared to be tight enough that national Republicans poured reinforcements into the race, hoping to highlight O´Rourke´s extraordinary liberalism. With less than two weeks until early voting begins in Texas, the hype around Betomania looks to be losing some of its luster. Or, rather, the Texas electorate’s muscle memory is kicking in as more people start tuning in and making up their minds. Beto O’Rourke is trailing Ted Cruz among likely voters by 9 percentage points, 54-45, according to a Quinnipiac poll released Thursday — making up no ground from the same poll’s September numbers. Gubernatorial challenger Lupe Valdez is now trailing Abbott by 20 points, the same margin by which Wendy Davis lost to Greg Abbott in 2014.

Princess Eugenie shared a passionate kiss with Jack Brooksbank on the steps of St George’s Chapel after marrying in one of the most celebrity-packed royal weddings in history. The newlyweds had invited 850 royals, aristocrats, VIPs and friends - 150 more than Harry and Meghan when they married five months ago - and the security operation to protect them all will cost taxpayers £2million. The bride, 28, could not stop grinning at her groom during their hour-long service but Jack, 30, looked overcome with emotion throughout. RealClearPolitics data is pointing to a red wave in the Senate this November, with recent polls showing key seats like North Dakota and Arizona going or staying red. RealClear currently predicts that at least 49 Senate seats will be Republican and at least 44 will be Democrats, with seven toss-up races. In three of those toss-ups, recent polls contain good news for Republican candidates. If Republicans do win in the four toss-up races where they have the best chances — Arizona, Tennessee, Nevada and Missouri — the Senate could see a net gain

There is no way Robert Francis O´Rourke, alias "Beto," a.k.a. the no-doubt gleaming future of the Democratic Party is as delusional about his prospects for success as his followers. That would be impossible. The Texas congressman is your average 46-year-old liberal failson politico, the grandson of a secretary of the Navy, the son of a judge, a hanger-on in his party who graduated from playing in an amazingly bad hardcore punk band to a seat on the El Paso City Council. When there is no love, no sharing and no respect, relationships end. Nearly everybody loves music. In fact, music can often bridge the gaps between people when nothing else can. And there are few things more fun than seeing people react to hit songs. There’s definitely no formula to what constitutes a hit song, although some songs were natural hits from the first time they made their way on the radio – think about songs like “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” or “Irreplaceable.” Other tunes become smashes inexplicably. But there’s a whole different category of hits: overrated songs. Some singles have no business being popular or well-loved, and

On Oct. 14, CBS’s “60 Minutes” aired an interview with President Donald Trump — rare for its status as having appeared outside of Fox News or conservative media. Appearing the same weekend as First Lady Melania Trump’s appearance on “20/20,” this would seem to represent a new level of media blitzing on the part of an administration that’s already seen its head get plenty of free promotion during rallies broadcast on cable news. And, like Melania Trump’s utterly-on-message, relentlessly forward-moving TV interview, the President’s interview had effectively the same impact as a rally; it allowed him to bulldoze his chief
