Campaign staffers for Tennessee Democrat Senate nominee Phil Bredesen were caught on tape admitting that the supposedly moderate candidate was lying through his teeth when he said last Friday that he would have voted to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. The staffers, surreptitiously recorded by Project Veritas in a video released Wednesday night, said Bredesen lied to hoodwink moderate Republicans into voting for him. Most polling shows Bredesen behind in a race against conservative Tennessee congresswoman Marsha Blackburn. Prompted by a female Project Veritas journalist, Bredesen field organizers Maria Amalla and Will Stewart both said that Bredesen

Don´t let all of those House Democrat candidates running as if they are conservative sounding win either, particularly those with ZERO political office experience, they will be forced to vote the liberal/progressive agenda of Nancy Pelosi if she becomes Speaker.

I´ve always been rather arrogantly proud of the "I vote for the person not the party" position I have taken in the past(mea culpa). There is no cooperation or comity with Democrats. Perhaps your mayor or my city council member are "nice guys" but they all have a political knife behind their backs when they get to a state house or national seat in the house or senate.

It´s just the scorpion´s nature.

When a person decides to enter into politics they usually have to choose between joining the Democrat party or the Republican party. Right now the choice comes down to supporting between a government based on representative republic based on a citizen´s Bill of Rights or socialism that has always resulted in failure and anarchy. So even at the dog catcher level, if a person chooses to run as a Democrat that person will not get my vote.

Remember the special election with Judge Moore and Doug Jones. Doug Jones the democrat told everyone that he is an independent thinker and won. He also said that he will not vote just democrat. Well, he does. He voted against Kavanaugh along with the rest of the democrats. He lied to the people of Alabama.

Passage of the Music Modernization Act earlier this week spotlights a curious cultural practice that has gone ignored: the surprising, elating use of a Rolling Stones song at President Donald Trump’s political rallies ever since the 2016 campaign season. We’re reminded that pop music is, supposedly, made for us all — to enjoy, embrace, remember, dance to, and, equally important, to purchase. To affirm that the purchase of pop art is partly spiritual, affecting one’s emotions and indefinable beliefs, is not the purpose of HR 1551, but the reality of that affectionate exchange has always caused me a pang of regret

ALLIGATOR POINT — Wearing a bright yellow volunteer firefighter T-shirt and a weary smile, Corinna McEwen trudged past a group of Florida National Guard soldiers. They were sent Friday to help clear Alligator Drive, the road leading to her beachfront bar, the Alligator Point Tiki Hut. It’s a popular hangout for longtime residents and vacationing homeowners. Or it was until Hurricane Michael devastated much of the Panhandle this week. The storm washed away a 2-mile stretch of Alligator Drive, leaving behind just a few sections of buckled asphalt and concrete. The Tiki Hut is gone, too. On Thursday, dawn broke over total wreckage. Splintered wood, mangled cars and washing machines littered the streets. Attics were torn from their frames and deposited hundreds of yards away, with totes still stowed in the eaves. "We’re broken here," said Cathey, 71. "This devastation is beyond. Everybody did it in Agatha Christie´s novel Murder on the Orient Express, and the same problem bedevils the US stock market today. A dozen co-conspirators killed the victim in the Christie novel. Here are a dozen factors that bedevil the stock market: 1) Bond yields continue to rise even while the broad stock market indices tank an unusual event. That, as I argued earlier this week, is in part due to the overstretching of bank balance sheets, which makes it hard for foreign investors to hedge currency risk in US portfolios. 2) Corporations spend more buying back their own stock than

The editors of the Wall Street Journal urge Senate Republicans to keep Democrats in Washington, D.C. until every pending Trump administration nominee is confirmed. They have a point. Democrats have succeeded to a shocking (and unprecedented) degree in preventing the president from staffing his administration with the well-qualified personnel of his choice. Eric Dreiband and Jeff Clark are perhaps the two best examples of this pattern of obstruction but, at the same time, are the tip of the iceberg.
