At Sen. John McCain’s funeral, as mourners gathered to remember the service and sacrifice of one of America’s most prominent politicians, the cameras caught a heartwarming moment. Former First Lady Michelle Obama, seated next to former President George W. Bush, held out her hand as he placed something into her palm. It was a cough drop. It was a reminder that two people with very different political views can be friends. Speaking on the “Today Show” on Thursday, Obama said she didn’t realize the moment had been caught on camera, but described her relationship with the former president from the

Adorbs is, I take it, idiot-slang for the word “adorable.” Each week there is a section in one of the celebrity magazines, maybe “Us” or “Star”, which is entitled something like “Stars: They’re just like you!” It features pictures of what passes for well-known entertainers doing things like pushing strollers, carrying shopping bags in their flip flops or playing with their dogs at a beach. The idea is that the target reader, presumably someone who has a hard time believing that Ryan Gosling passes gas or that Kim Kardashian gets pimples thinks, “Gee! Maybe celebrities ARE just like me.” For such a person this feeling of commonality with celebrities is a source of dizzying joy and wonderment. These pictures are, of course, set ups by the celebrities, their publicists and photographers but the aim is to humanize the anointed for purposes of endearment which might lead to cash. Perhaps Michelle or W. or both is about to come out with a book or another item to sell but we are also to remember that BamBu are thick as thieves while Pres. Trump wasn´t even invited to the boneyard celebration. The trouble is that most adults, especially those who vote, don’t care. The American press is pathebs.

This week, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., in preparation for a 2020 presidential run, decided to fight back against President Trump´s brutal nickname for her: Pocahontas. Trump, you´ll recall, labeled her Pocahontas because for years, she has claimed Native American ancestry. Not only that, she claimed repeatedly that her mother´s Native American ancestry drove her parents to elope after her father´s family refused to welcome her mother with open arms thanks to their bigotry. As it turns out, Warren could never provide any evidence of Native American ancestry -- even though she spent years labeling herself Native American

Elizabeth Warren is very concerned that Americans will not approve of her dishonest scheme to leapfrog over competitors during her academic career. Elizabeth Warren claimed she was a minority “Native American” to get ahead in her career. Warren is a fraud and she is concerned it may damage her chances of becoming the next US president. In 1996 the Harvard Crimson identified Elizabeth Warren as a woman of color and Native American. There’s definitely no formula to what constitutes a hit song, although some songs were natural hits from the first time they made their way on the radio – think about songs like “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” or “Irreplaceable.” Other tunes become smashes inexplicably.
