The Left´s Next Big Thing
American Thinker, by J.R. Dunn

Original Article

Fresh off getting their britches kicked over the Kavanaugh nomination, the American left has come up with yet another scheme to stymie the GOP and strangle the MAGA program in its cradle. This is the product of John Burton, an Obama acolyte and political activist who, harnessing the crowdsourcing process (the "Wiki effect"), has signed up an army of amateur volunteers to examine the records of dozens of vulnerable GOP candidates with the intention of publicizing these findings in a string of October surprises.

Perhaps, it´s finally time to expose the Dems instead...? If not now, when?

Who knows. Some of the "findings" may actually be true, but probably not. To the Dems, totally lacking in honor and integrity, outright lies are also acceptable.

Time to bring a gun to the gun fight! How about checking the background of John Burton. Maybe find a couple women who are willing to say he sexually abused them ten years ago. WHAT? You can´t do that without Witnesses! OOPS! It appears you CAN! Democrats set the standard, so Republicans should run with it! Shut him down in Legal Fees trying to clear HIS name! Keeps him off the Streets during the election!

Ask them to check Mazie Hirono´s record. I read that she covered up a sexist harassment case at an Aviation Training Program that she created. She knew the women were being harassed and they asked for help. She did nothing. Ask her about that.

I for one am glad their nonsense doesn´t work. I suspect that is because they are in the minority whether they like that reality or not. As to trying something new, how about working with republicans to the benefit of the nation for a change? I mean the real benefit, not the kind the Left likes which is actually a detriment.

Get us a working AG Mr. President. You have wasted two precious years letting this national tantrum go on. Time to end it and chop it off at the roots.

On this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful that America has a president, and the Free World a leader, who is the most admirable figure to hold this position in my lifetime. I´ve been of voting age in eleven presidential elections. I voted in most but not all of them. Usually both choices were uninspiring. Whom to pick, a dimbulb D.C. drudge (Ford) or a smarmy phony (Carter)? A charmless technocrat (Dukakis) or an establishment empty suit (Bush senior)? In 1992 I bought Slick Willie´s act; the disillusion set in almost immediately after his inauguration.

The chair of the Democratic Caucus is one of those influential positions that nobody thinks twice about. In 2016, Rep. Linda Sanchez got to be the vice-chair of the Democratic Caucus and her appointment was touted as an identity politics first. To get the job, Rep. Sanchez had to beat out Rep. Barbara Lee, an admirer of murderous Communist dictator Fidel Castro. And Sanchez only beat out Lee by two votes. Together with sister, Loretta Sanchez, who had warned, "the Vietnamese and the Republicans are...

“Hard-line Republicans and conservative commentators are mounting a dark whisper campaign against Jamal Khashoggi,” the Washington Post nervously warned. It was the third week of Khashoggimania. And some difficult questions were being asked. The Washington Post had provided Jamal Khashoggi, a Hamas supporter and an old friend of Osama bin Laden, with column space in which to promote the agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood. It had seized on the pretext of his disappearance and death to fracture the coalition against Iran and advocate regime change in Saudi Arabia. These had also been Khashoggi’s two fundamental Islamist goals.

First of all, before I start this, let me say I disagree with most of the usages of the word “privilege.” The left refers to people of “privileged background” for instance, when what they really mean is “rich” or, these days, “middle class and with parents who insisted on education.” I suppose this makes some sense in the context of a leftist world view, but it makes no sense in reality. You see, privilege means “private law.”

An archaic definition of “reckoning” is “a bill or account, or it’s settlement.” It’s the settling of scores, or how Michael Corleone in The Godfather “settled all family business”. A reckoning restores balance, or karma, when things get too out of whack. Consider Lady Justice’s scale, how justice should be balanced. When one side of the scale tips too low, balance must be restored if the concepts of justice and fairness are to have any meaning.

President Trump has been in an uphill battle to reverse Obama´s efforts to "fundamentally transform" America. Trump´s successes in the past 20 months in erasing the damage of the Obama´s eight years are well documented. But he has a long way to go based on what we saw in the Kavanaugh hearings. Trump´s biggest challenge is to push back Obama´s primary legacy of identity politics, which is destroying the fabric of our nation. Neighbors, family members and old friends have been split apart, by design.

One thing I learned watching the witch trial of Brett Kavanaugh on MSNBC, is that a prestigious university in New York has a Vice President for Social Justice. (She is an MSNBC commentator). Her Orwellian title is but one of many signs that our country is already on the threshold of 1984; the Judiciary Committee circus is another. In her comments on the hearings, the Vice President for Social Justice, Maya Wiley, was clearly out for blood, and had no interest in evidence, due process, or the facts.

One of my theories about the classic gangster television series The Sopranos is that creator David Chase recognized an important truth about the structure of TV storytelling. In normal stories, a protagonist is placed in a situation that uniquely challenges his character so that in traveling through the arc of the story he is transformed in comic or tragic ways. But in a TV series, the hero´s character is never really transformed — because otherwise the series would end — and he is doomed to repeat the same actions over and over without surcease. In short, he is in Hell,

The left has a deep-seated death wish. By which I don’t mean they’re presenting themselves in the wrong light or whatever, I mean an actually bonafide death wish. They hate themselves, they hate the civilization that created them. They wish both would die. They try to disguise this, of course, most of all to themselves, hence their endless panics about how Trump is going to put them in camps, or whatever the latest faddish fear is. But it’s there. Another day, another avalanche of news about the President: berating Democratic leaders on camera; unceremoniously announcing the departure of his chief of staff; calling his former Secretary of State “dumb as a rock.” It never lets up. Trump is a ubiquitous, suffocating presence in American life. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. The modern presidency is the framers’ worst nightmare, a flatly unconstitutional concentration of power. As the Trump era has made abundantly clear, the office itself — its size, scope, and prominence in American life — is the driving force of dysfunction in our politics.

In order to do that, we’ll need to replace all the sources of carbon pollution—like fossil fuel plants and combustion vehicles—with clean, renewable alternatives. But there’s a problem: According to a new study, we might not have enough materials to make that happen. Going all in on attacking President Trump isn’t proving to be a particularly effective business strategy for media outlets. The Weekly Standard, a 28-year old neoconservative institution, is reportedly headed towards dissolution after its founder, Bill Kristol, devoted almost three years of work to attacking the President and his supporters. It’s not just Kristol. The entire world of clickbait Trump-hate seems to be in jeopardy, including sites that cater to the liberal base. The Weekly Standard will be no more. There is no real reason we are witnessing the magazine’s demise other than deep pettiness and a personal desire for bureaucratic revenge on the part of a penny-ante Machiavellian who works for its parent company. There would at least be a larger meaning to the Standard’s end if it were being killed because it was hostile to Donald Trump. But I do not believe that is the case.
