Nervous Democrats ask: Could
Election Day disaster strike again?

McClatchy Newspapers, by Alex Roarty

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 10/10/2018 4:03:01 PM

It was this week two years ago that Hillary Clinton’s victory looked assured, when the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape of Donald Trump bragging about sexual assault appeared all but certain to end his campaign. Jesse Ferguson remembers it well. The deputy press secretary for Clinton’s campaign also remembers what happened a month later. It’s why this veteran Democratic operative can’t shake the feeling that, as promising as the next election looks for his party, it might still all turn out wrong.

Go back to sleep. It is going to be a massive blue wave. Trust Nancy Pelosi on this. Advice for liberals: don´t even vote because it is already in the bag.

The LEFT´s mob violence will ensure a blue wave. Just keep up the harassment, screaming, threats, and violence. Block roads, scare people, get in their faces, and make sure that you promise impeachment and investigations. Go to it. Remember, NO CIVILITY ! is the agenda for success.

Qwiet. Dems are hunting wabbits.

"Trump is unpopular and beset by scandal, Democrats hold leads in the polls, and some Republicans are openly pessimistic."

Trump is FAR more strongly popular than he was and somewhat more broadly, especially in some traditional dem groups.

Polls? Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!

Republicans are pessimistic because many of them STILL are uncomfortable winning. They actually believe the things in the media and the polls.

While I want us to win, perhaps as much I want to see dems go through the losing process again. The ennui after 2016 was very entertaining. It also led to the crazy part of the party coming forward. The more crazy they get the better Trump seems by comparison. They are throwing away the only issue they get some traction on with moderates.

Dead voters and illegal aliens comprise a large part of the predicted blue wave, along with the bus loads of liberal cupcakes moving from poll to poll to vote. If they can, they will cheat. And if they win, our country will either turn into Venezuela or a civil war will break out. They MUST be defeated and their leaders sent to jail.

So in describing dems instead of "Mob Rules" we we have "Bom Rules" or "Bomb Rules". They are practically the same thing anyway. Now us WalMart shoppers are hip and politically correct.

I refuse to believe the upper staff at both parties don´t already have a clear picture of the polls. Given I don´t put much faith in them it might just be the way numbers are presented to the hoi poi. What each party has to do now is energize the bases or minimize the opponent. Apparently 38% of African Americans now have a favorable view of President Trump.

This is an extraordinary change for ANY Republican President and if true (and it certainly seems possible given the jobs picture and the appealing Dragon Energy) then the Democrats are completely done as a national party: extremely angry irrational middle-aged feminist manhaters who are trying to sort out the cognitive dissonance of what the “sexual liberation” of the 1960s and 1970s has done to ALL of us by having a public nervous breakdown, beta-male college professors and Hollywood types, and Muslims would then be the core of the Democrat base and THAT particular coalition will last approximately another 5 minutes and then collapse under its own logical impossibilities.

I think we’re roughly equivalent to the point in 2016 when Shrillary saw the writing on the wall and cancelled the celebratory fireworks a few days before November 6.

A fact that everybody knows is true. The women voluntarily (and aggressively) put themselves in the company of powerful men. Every hear of Gold Diggers?

The Russia Investigations: An Unfinished

Political and legal danger for President Trump may be sharpening by the day, but the case that his campaign might have conspired with the Russian attack on the 2016 election looks weaker than ever. Trump has been implicated in ordering a scheme to silence two women ahead of Election Day in 2016 about the alleged sexual relationships they had with him years before. That is a serious matter, or it might have been in other times, but it is decidedly not a global conspiracy with a foreign power to steal the election.

In the Donald Trump era, some liberals are confounded by their affection for a figure they would otherwise despise. He is known to them, after all, as one of America’s most enthusiastic warmongers—and the man who first vaulted Sarah Palin to national fame. Yet for all his many episodes of villainy, it’s possible to concede the pleasures of his impish company, especially when he breaks ranks to join your political side. His current career as a pithy critic of the president had led liberal Twitter to endow him with a grudgingly affectionate moniker: He is “Woke Bill Kristol.”

The aim of the victims’ rights movement, which arose in the 1970s and has swept through every state in the union and changed federal laws in the years since, is often summed up simply: Crime victims have the right to be “informed, present and heard.” All these rights were trampled by Alexander Acosta, formerly the U.S. attorney in South Florida and currently U.S. secretary of labor, when he struck a secret deal with wealthy sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to shield Epstein from federal investigation and prosecution.Though Acosta was in possession of a 53-page draft indictment charging that the well-connected financier

Ten years ago, Bernard Madoff’s multibillion-dollar Ponzi scheme, the biggest fraud in U.S. history, shocked the financial world. It soon emerged that a forensic accountant, Harry Markopolos, had been alerting regulators for years to Mr. Madoff’s fraud, but no one had listened. At Mr. Markopolos’s urging, the Securities and Exchange Commission created a cash-for-tips program, designed to encourage reports of financial wrongdoing and prevent the lapses in oversight that gave Mr. Madoff free rein. Today, an entire industry is devoted to surfacing tips from company insiders and expert analysts who scrutinize corporate filings.

France’s violent Yellow Vest protests are now about many domestic concerns, but it’s no accident that the trigger was a fuel-tax hike. Nothing reveals the disconnect between ordinary voters and an aloof political class more than carbon taxation. The fault line runs between anti-carbon policies and economic growth, and France is a test for the political future of emissions restrictions. France already is a relatively low-carbon economy, with per-capita emissions half Germany’s as of 2014. French governments have nonetheless pursued an “ecological transition” to further squeeze carbon emissions from every corner

Joe Lieberman, a Democrat-turned-independent who has backed Republicans, has found friends in yet another party: the ruling Communist Party of the People´s Republic of China. The former "conscience of the Senate" has been hired to represent China´s ZTE telecommunications company, which is basically a front organization for Chinese intelligence services. ZTE is under pressure in light of overdue U.S. government efforts to prevent it from entrenching a stronger position in the U.S. economy. With the U.S. now in a new cold war with Beijing, no former U.S. official, let alone a foreign policy hawk like Lieberman, should be serving ZTE.

Allen soon invited Engelhardt

Chuck Schumer clearly thinks that he’s got a winning issue with blaming President Trump for a prospective “government shutdown” Friday, if no budget bill is passed that includes $5 billion for border wall improvements. Since he promises that no such money will be forthcoming from the Senate, he obviously anticipates the public reacting in horror over the Christmas holidays as federal employees labeled “non-essential” stay home. But Rep. Thomas Massey, a libertarian-leaning GOP House member from Kentucky, has published an amazing graph that shows how meaningless this “disaster” really is for almost everybody:
