Preventing Me from Appointing Ivanka

Breitbart Big Government, by Charlie Spiering

President Donald Trump said that potential charges of nepotism were preventing him from appointing his daughter Ivanka Trump to the position of Ambassador to the United Nations “Ivanka would be dynamite,” Trump said but added that he would be “accused of nepotism” if he appointed her to replace Nikki Haley as the U.N. Ambassador. Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner are both senior advisers in the White House. “I’m not sure there’s anyone more competent in the world,” he added. Trump appeared fascinated by the idea of his daughter serving in the position. “How you feel about Ivanka?” he

I´d love to see Ivanka in the position but hope that President Trump will NOT make the appointment. It´s too hot a button and the twisted, sick, troubled, demented left doesn´t need any more rocks to hurl. I think the work that Jared and Ivanka are doing behind the scenes is outstanding.

Trump is enjoying sticking it to his "fake news" nemesis.

I think the liberal side of her would become more prominent. We had a courageous woman in Haley and she will be difficult to replace. There´s no hurry, the UN is sufficiently cowed to be quiet for a while.

You mean like President John F. Kennedy appointing his brother Robert F. Kennedy Attorney General?

You´re right, we can´t have that, because that would be wrong.

I believe a law was passed after JFK´s death that prevents a president from appointing family members to cabinet positions.
As I recall Clinton wanted to appoint Hillary to his cabinet but found out he could not.

A Missouri man charged with taking part in the illegal killing of “several hundred deer” was ordered to undergo an unusual punishment as part of his sentence. David Berry Jr., part of a southwest Missouri family arrested for killing and leaving deer to rot after removing their heads, has been ordered to watch the animated Disney classic “Bambi” once a month while he is in prison, Fox News reported. Special counsel Robert Mueller on Monday released a heavily-redacted memo detailing former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s interview with FBI agents in which Flynn repeatedly lied about his contacts with then-Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The January 2017 memo describes FBI agents’ conversation with Flynn about his contacts with Mr. Kislyak. Flynn pleaded guilty last year to lying to FBI agents about his contacts with Mr. Kislyak. He will be sentenced Tuesday. Flynn repeatedly told the FBI agents, including former agent Peter Strzok, that he did not speak to Mr. Kislyak about U.S. sanctions imposed on Russia. The memo says Flynn

Neoconservatism is dead, long live American conservatism. That’s what I thought when I learned The Weekly Standard would be shuttered by longtime owner Clarity Media. The Standard was a creature of a particular time and place—the 1990s, the Bush-Clinton ascendancy, and Washington, D.C.’s insular, self-referential political class. As such, it never really fit within the broad flow of historic American conservatism. It was always, and intentionally, something different. So perhaps the magazine’s opposition to Donald Trump, his voters, and the America First agenda should come as no surprise. Max Boot described the magazine as “a redoubt of neoconservatism” in 2002

The Washington Times reported Monday (original links): He said the law firm Perkins Coie wanted to be in a position to contest the results based on evidence he unearthed on the Trump campaign conspiring with Moscow on election interference. My heart – the part of it that beats and pumps the blood – is healthy, but I had some problems with the electrical part that sets the rhythm, the pace and the number of beats per minute, which resulted in what is called atrial fibrillation. This simply means that the blood does not move in the steady rhythm that is desired for good heart health. One of
