More Bribery: Kamala Harris
hands $400,000 to Heidi Heitkamp

American Thinker, by Monica Showalter

Original Article

Posted By:PageTurner, 10/9/2018 10:13:46 AM

Funny how politics works these days... Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota went against her own voters´ sentiment, which supported Judge Brett Kavanaugh for Supreme Court by about 60%, voted against the man in a bid to sink his confirmation, and suddenly found herself with a flood of campaign cash, courtesy of Sen. Kamala Harris, who raised her a $400,000 payday. Here´s the news from NBC´s Kasie Hunt, which was first spotted by Mike Allen at Axios: Was that cash why she changed her vote from sympathetic to Kavanaugh to a ´no´? One wonders if these were the arrangements

Comments:
Was Heitkamp notified about this ´reward´ if she changed her vote?

Talk about flushing money down the toilet! At this point, no amount of money will make the difference in this election. Heitkamp is toast. But then again, why am I surprised? Flushing money down the toilet is what Democrats do best.

So that´s why the Dems stonewalled and demanded more time? They needed time to raise cash for bribery?

There´s a very thin line between campaign contributions and bribery. Who contributes to a candidate not expected to "do the right thing" when it matters? Anyone? And when they "do the right thing"...

I know that Heitkamp is far behind in the polls, but $400k is a whole lot of money in the North Dakota ad market, and you can be sure Heitkamp will saturate the airwaves with distortions and smears for the next month. I hope the good people of North Dakota see through Heitkamp and that Cramer (her opponent) gets his own ads out there highlighting Kamala Harris´ tweet and participation in and connection to all of Heitkamp´s new found $$$$.

I guess if Kamala wants to burn $400,000, let her do it. You could flush it down the commode and get the same result.

People, please remember that any remaining cash in a campaign fund goes to the politician after the election. Four hundred thousand dollars not spent means four hundred thousand in Heithamp´s pocket after the election is over even if she loses. Okay, since she was already behind it would seem logical to some to simply take the money and lose with a wad of cash for later on in life. Some democrat group will hire her after the loss so she has some "walking around" money on the side and all it took was changing one vote on the way out the door. To me, it does sound like something a politician would do.

Just two, #5? There is a whole boatload of obnoxious, repulsive ´Rat females representing the Golden State. And their male counterparts fit into the boat as well.

Heidi´s vote of conscience almost guarantees her retirement from the Senate on 1-3-19. She only won by about 3000 votes in 2012. Hardly a landslide, and Romney didn´t exactly galvanize the electorate that year.

In the Illinois Capitol Rotunda this month, several traditions are being celebrated. We find a nativity scene for Christmas; a menorah for Hanukkah; and, alongside these displays, an arm holding an apple, with a snake coiled around it. This snake sculpture is a gift from the Chicago branch of The Satanic Temple. Called "Snaketivity," the work also has a sign that reads, "Knowledge Is The Greatest Gift." This revolting travesty is a result of decades of decisions pertaining to the non-establishment of religion asserted in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. If a group

Bit by bit, like Ozymandias chipped away by shifting desert sands, the Obamacare monolith is coming down. Friday, a Texas court struck down the law as ´unconstitutional´ based on Congress repealing the individual mandate in 2017. Rick Moran wrote about it here. And for those of us stuck in the individual market with no choice but to buy the hellish Obamacare, that´s a relief. Maybe it gets appealed successfully by lefty states such as California, maybe it doesn´t. But what´s worth noting is that Democrats will continue to fight for it on the spurious "narrative" that it protects pre-existing conditions,

President Trump took a lot of flak from the left for warning that the migrant caravan, heading up to the U.S. from Honduras, had a lot of "stone cold criminals" in its ranks. Here´s a Nov. 26 report from USA Today to show just how insistent the left was with that "narrative": President Donald Trump continued his attacks against a caravan of Central American immigrants [sic] Monday, describing some of them as "stone cold criminals," but his administration provided scant details to back up the president´s assertion. Out of the blue, socialist congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 29, has started something with outgoing White House chief of staff John Kelly, calling on him to apologize for the "he-said, she-said" scrap he had a while back with Florida Democratic congresswoman Frederica Wilson over the sensitivity of an official phone call to a slain serviceman´s grieving family. Talk about a baseless argument. And talk about a useless fight she has nothing to gain from. Another day, another dead dissident over in the socialist hellhole of Venezuela. The death of Nelson Martinez in police custody made the news, because no one had ever seen such a high-level official killed off, possibly by bad medical care, which wouldn´t be surprising in a Venezuelan dungeon, or maybe a rubout from the mafia state that´s currently in power. Maybe it was both. It´s likely someone wanted him dead. Is abortion ´the safest procedure?´ The Planned Parenthood propaganda has dined out for years on its claim that legal abortions are the preferable alternative to ´back-alley´ and ´coat-hanger´ abortions. There´s not a Democratic Party convention since 1973 where this hasn´t been shouted to the rafters. Apparently it´s not even true. Planned Parenthood is fighting with every tooth and nail it has to keep abortion reporting requirements ´safe´ from the public eye, and it´s prompting questions about just what they have to hide. The Weekly Standard will be no more. There is no real reason we are witnessing the magazine’s demise other than deep pettiness and a personal desire for bureaucratic revenge on the part of a penny-ante Machiavellian who works for its parent company. There would at least be a larger meaning to the Standard’s end if it were being killed because it was hostile to Donald Trump. But I do not believe that is the case.
