Watch–Beto O’Rourke to Black American:
Illegal Immigrant Labor Needed for Cotton Gin

Breitbart, by John Binder

Original Article

During a town hall event on Wednesday night, Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) — running against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the Senate seat — told a black American who questioned his support of illegal immigration that illegal aliens from Central America and Mexico are today’s cotton pickers. O’Rourke’s remarks were made after a black American asked the congressman if he supported illegal aliens being given U.S. citizenship despite breaking the country’s immigration laws. O’Rourke responded by saying that it is illegal aliens who are working at cotton gins today. The exchange went as follows:

Whats a cotton gin?

fta: "...… some of us are showing up right now as we speak. They’re fleeing the deadliest countries in the planet today...."

So now Robert Francis O´Rourke wants to grant INSTANT CITIZENSHIP and access to welfare from breaking the law???

Beto Pancho is out of his ever-lovin´ mind!!!!

Where is "Plugs" Bite-me on this--he said the republicans were going to put the blacks "back in chains"... so now O´Rourke thinks the illegal aliens will be picking cotton??

His campaign is such a farce--

It is absolutely a lie that "No matter what wages I pay, no one from here will work this job."
I have seen the show "Dirty Jobs" and I´m sure Mike Rowe will tell you that if you pay enough, they will come.
What he really means is "At these low wages I can´t get any takers for these jobs. So I take advantage of desperate people instead."

For weeks, O´Rourke has been running "feel good" ads.

He looks like a Kennedy clone. He talks about what a nice guy he is, how he cares about the "little guy", how he doesn´t take money from "evil PAC´s", and how he has visited all 254 counties in Texas. And his poll numbers kept going up.

But not a single word about what he believes about the topics people in Texas truly care about: immigration, gun rights, freedom of religion, abortion, etc. That is because he is so out of touch with how the strong majority of Texans (outside of Austin) believe.

Now his own words are starting to catch up with him. His call to ban weapons and confiscate guns from legal gun owners is not playing well. His "open borders" philosophy is a massive disaster for him. And his polling numbers are crashing because of it.

The fact that Ted Cruz is making sure O´Rourke´s words are catching up to him is why Cruz was up by 9 points in the most recent poll!!!!!

Yes, as said above, "cotton strippers" are now used. There is no picking by hand as it was in the past.

By the way, cotton has been gone from Northeast Texas for decades. But now it is making a comeback! One very large gin near the Red River has been built, and individual farmers are being contracted by a large corporation to grow the crops. Cotton is such a beautiful crop through its many stages, and I am happy to see it back in this part of Texas. But there will be no human cotton-pickers in the fields---only those who are facilitating the use of the high-dollar cotton stripping machine.

Absolutely idiotic. Considering Texas is a hugely agricultural state, knowing a tiny bit about it would go a long way. This idiot is proud that he has been in all counties but probably with his head turned constantly on his cell phone or something. Just being mildly observant would show you that cotton is a very low worker needed crop.

Oh and it is a beautiful crop too.

These jobs at the cotton gins sound like perfect ones for high school and college-age boys---much like hauling hay was in my day.

Both of my sons worked dirty jobs in high school and college, and they would not have balked at working at a cotton gin. Our younger son, for example, a job scooping sawdust at a lumber mill. He was given a mask, but said he got hot and sweaty, and the mask was an impediment. Our other son worked at the highway department during summers---very hot and dirty work all day in the Texas sun.

Cotton is usually harvested in the Fall, so this could be part-time work for some.

When are they going to notice "Beto´s" nickname? (like Sen. Warren´s high "indian" cheekbones).

I can´t wait for O´Rourke to channel Sen. Cory Booker by hauling out Booker´s favorite canard [read: bald-face racist lie] about the Constitution´s "3/5th of a man clause."

Cruz, who has not only read but memorized the constitution, would knock that one out of the park.

#20, Texas is, by far, the largest producer of cotton in the USA!!!

In 2014, Texas had 6.2 million acres of cotton grown.

Georgia was the next highest state with 1.4 million acres.

So yes, we still grow a LOT of cotton in Texas!!!!!

While he won’t be on the ballot this November, President Trump and his performance in office will be a key issue in this year’s midterm elections. But before the campaigning starts in earnest, TV news reporters have saturated the airwaves with subjective language about the President’s emotional state, most of it casting him as an out-of-control hothead. MRC analysts looked at every broadcast evening news story about the President from January 1 through September 10, and tallied the various words reporters have used this year to describe Trump’s state of mind, grouping them by category. Americans, after all, are a people who celebrate capitalism. We ask because of the remarks this week of the chairman of J.P. Morgan Chase, Jamie Dimon.
