Collins, Kavanaugh, and the
Rewards of ‘Moderation’

American Spectator, by David Catron

We have all seen those grisly stories in the news about people who adopt dangerous predators as pets only to be torn limb from limb by the very creatures they have cosseted for years. This is analogous to what is now happening to Susan Collins. The Maine Senator has frequently curried favor with the left by taking “principled stands” against her fellow Republicans on issues like Obamacare, and basked in the praise of progressives. Collins presumably thought this meant she was safe from the left’s innate brutishness when she took a perfectly reasonable position regarding SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Voting for the lesser of two evils always gets you more evil.
We,the people, have never needed the guidance, wisdom and intellectual superiority of the cluelessly compromised weak willed and morally bankrupt "moderates"...

This is the perfect analogy.

Despite her “Republican” credentials, Ms. Collins is a liberal. Hence, she’s able to take “principled” stands against her friends because she “feels” certain things.

It’s a shame she’s grown so old and stayed so dumb.

"it is extraordinary to me that people would want to participate in trying to essentially buy a Senator’s vote."

Hahahahaha - This is hilarious. Half of the Senate would be shocked to hear this statement and the other half would be running scared. How else do they end up rich and corrupted after a couple of terms?

Collins is losing her faculties. Her head was shaking uncontrollably in the same way that Hillary shakes. She won´t be with us much longer and we can find a real conservative to replace her. She has done us as much damage as the recently departed war hero.

FTA: “And it is extraordinary to me that people would want to participate in trying to essentially buy a Senator’s vote.”

Got a good early morning belly laugh outta that one! Don’t even bother denying buying votes is an anomaly. We all know that money is the major motivator in how our dedicated public servants will vote. Influence peddling is the grease that facilitates the movement of the gears in our corrupt government.

Evidently, our esteemed FBI is not interested in extortion being committed on a sitting member of the Senate any longer. Since they have gotten into the sedition business, they really have no time or inclination to actually investigate extortion. Looks like Susan is on her own.

Ayn Rand had a thing to say that both Collins and the late ´Maverick´ & the rest of the Rino herd,should have been made to memorize;

"There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil. The man who is wrong still retains some respect for truth, if only by accepting the responsibility of choice. But the man in the middle is the knave who blanks out the truth in order to pretend that no choice or values exist, who is willing to sit out the course of any battle, willing to cash in on the blood of the innocent or to crawl on his belly to the guilty, who dispenses justice by condemning both the robber and the robbed to jail, who solves conflicts by ordering the thinker and the fool to meet each other halfway. In any compromise between food and poison, it is only death that can win. In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit. "

The Republican Senate has the votes to confirm Kavanagh. If any of the closet-Democrats chose to raise their ugly heads, and defect, the Republican party is dead. There is no excuse not to confirm Kavanagh. The Republican party is suppose to be an acceptable alternative to the Democratic party. If too many of them side with the Democrats, what use are they? The Republican party is useless if it cannot stand apart from the Democrats.

The Kavanaugh hearings should have erased any doubts about the true nature of the Senate. As currently constituted, it is nowhere near the "august deliberative body" it purports to be. It is a Club for Clowns. That includes Spartacus as well as McConnell. Virtually all are despicable little twerps who never held a real job but sucked off the public trough for most of their lives. Any doubts? Look into the "Stock Act" to understand how they voted to give themselves insider trading rights. That is how they all come in poor and leave rich. It is a joke....

Democrats will exploit Kavanaugh’s

Are Senate Democrats really interested in learning the truth about the high-school sex-assault accusation against Brett Kavanaugh? Or are they just scheming to exploit it in the fall campaign? Faced with a backlash against accuser Christine Blasey Ford’s refusal to testify next Monday, her lawyer suddenly shifted strategy — saying Ford’s prepared to testify “next week,” but only under “fair” terms. Yet the lawyer also insisted that testimony “is not possible” on Monday. So with committee rules requiring at least a week’s notice, that could push off her appearance into October, with a vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination not possible until shortly

In the era of the #MeToo movement, we are expected to automatically believe claims made by women about sexual abuse. Anyone who dares to ask simple questions about the situation, like who, what, when, where, why and how, is automatically characterized as “doubting the story of a survivor.” Sexual assault is one of the most sensitive areas of criminal misconduct in American society. Allegations of sexual assault are very serious for all parties involved and they should be treated as such. Women who are victimized should be taken seriously as they seek justice.

Where were you in the spring of 1982? Can you verify your whereabouts and produce evidence to establish that you weren’t molesting prep-school girls in suburban Maryland? Christine Blasey Ford insists she’s a victim and, while the main suspect is Brett Kavanaugh, perhaps no man can be entirely sure he won’t be summoned before the Senate Judiciary Committee in some future investigation. When Christine Blasey Ford finally admitted that it was she who had leveled the uncorroborated charges of sexual assault against SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh, she was immediately asked if she would be willing to repeat her charges under oath. However, according to the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, neither Ford nor her lawyer has responded to any of several attempts to confirm that she will attend the Monday hearing that was set up so she can tell her story in Kavanaugh’s presence.

Feinstein has had the letter since July but waited until after Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings ended before referring it to the FBI. The Senator claimed its author had “requested confidentiality” and “declined to come forward or press the matter further.” But, as the Washington Post admitted yesterday, Christine Blasey Ford contacted them at the same time she reached out to Feinstein.
