Attorney General Jeff Sessions is reportedly “exploring a potential investigation” of Big Tech social media companies such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google. According to Bloomberg, Sessions will “be briefed on Sept. 25 by Republican state attorneys general who are already examining the firms’ practices,” and will “help Sessions decide if there’s a federal case to be made against companies such as Alphabet Inc.’s Google, Facebook Inc. and Twitter Inc. for violating consumer-protection or antitrust laws.” “The Sept. 25 briefing will include the attorneys general from Alabama, Nebraska, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Texas,” they reported, adding that “a representative of the Justice

Let´s see. Sessions will have the U.S. attorney in Mississippi look into this. We won´t be told anything about it -- ongoing investigation, Sessions does not talk about those, and we can expect not to hear anything else.

Has there ever been a more ineffective AG in the history of this country? Men and women drawn to this position are usually people who have a strong desire to right wrongs. Sessions moves at a snail’s pace, if at all, while we are in the midst of the most corruption that has been exposed in my lifetime. It is shocking in its depth and breadth. Where is his outrage, concern and will to bring the guilty to justice? I don’t believe he has the temperament or mindset to do what needs to be done. We need a legal warrior and we have Mr. Magoo. I bet he has all these social media giants shaking in their boots. He’s on the case! He’s on fire! He’ll get right on it!

Sessions has to be a mole. It is the only logical explanation for his behavior. If an employer did not have complete confidence in the way their employee was performing, most would resign. Yet, he stays on. This is not good. The country is awash in corruption and we cannot afford to have an AG who is mediocre at best.

Trump’s worst appointment by far, there is no excuse for Sessions still being in place at Justice. I love Trump, but, at this point, he owns Sessions and all the problems that come with him.

We’ve seen the media and the Democrats use this playbook before. When Justice Clarence Thomas was well on his way to being confirmed in 1991, the Democrats brought forth Anita Hill to accuse Thomas of sexual harassment, in a last ditch attempt to derail his nomination. At the time (according to a USA Today October 14, 1991 poll) the public believed Clarence Thomas by 47 percent over Anita Hill (24 percent)...so the media rallied around Hill. While Thomas and his congressional defenders were demonized, Hill was instantly canonized as a Rosa Parks for her time by the likes of Time’s

Overwhelmed by mounting murders, authorities in Mexico have resorted to storing about 100 rotting corpses in a container parked on the outskirts of a city — enraging residents overcome by the powerful stench. The semi-trailer truck was first spotted last week in a suburb of Mexico’s second-largest city, Guadalajara, drawing the ire of the mayor, who said it was illegally parked. It then turned up in a field farther away from the city, where neighbors complained it stank. “This affects our kids, it smells horrible and the longer it stays, it’s going to stink even worse,” Patricia Jiménez told Reuters.

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser Christine Blasey Ford will go head-to-head in testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee next Monday. The hearing sets up a potential show down on Capitol Hill, the likes of which have not been seen since Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill testified in 1991 after she accused him of sexual harassment. Thomas was ultimately confirmed after a bitter and bruising battle.
