The Problem With Men Today Isn’t
Toxic Masculinity, It’s Passivity

The Federalist, by Glenn T. Stanton

Original Article

Posted By:Hazymac, 9/12/2018 8:39:32 PM

At lunch with some colleagues the other day, some of the women—ladies in their 20s—were discussing how rare it is for men their age to step up, approach any feminine peers, and ask for a date, much less show any interest that could be seen as a move toward romance. I asked them a half serious, half facetious question: “Isn’t it true that in this age of toxic masculinity and the Me Too movement that your problem is exactly the opposite—young men approaching you regularly and just taking what they want?” Their reaction? Eyes. Rolled.

As usual the movement or situation is the exact opposite of what the Radical Left sez it is!

Exactly why should men chase women now? Women are equals we are told. Women can do anything men can do (better) we are told. Women need men like fish need bicycles we are told. Women wanted this... they can have it in spades!

Why would a man want a used up late 20´s feminist shrew with a giant chip on her shoulder and a big old case of babies rabies who has finally decided to settle down with a good beta man so she can have her required one or two kids and then frivorce him for cash and prizes because she is not "happy?"

And where would a young man learn masculinity in this day of single mom homes and alienated fathers who are little more than a child support check?

Forgive me as a woman and as a mother of a son but I just don´t see today´s women as much of a catch. It ain´t just men that need to get their act together, women need to be worth the work!

Watching prominent men get fired and dragged into court for putting their eyes in the wrong place really encourages others to ask for dates.

OTOH - why buy the cow when you get the milk free?

Today it seems, at least among the young, no one dates, they meet at some public place and then go home and play house for several months, or years. Another form of musical chairs.

Where´s the romance, the thrill of anticipation of seeing one another again, the big meet with the parents ... ?

People are too busy building their career in their 20s. No time for dating! That applies to both men and women. Kids are growing up being told they don´t have to marry right away. They are not hurrying into relationships. What else are our children being told about forming relationships?

Marriage has become a rotten deal where women pretty much always get the gold mine and the children and men get the shaft. No thank you.

The problem for women trying to find good men is that most (maybe virtually all) women just aren´t worth the effort. Video games are a whole lot more fun.

If I´d known about electric blankets, TV Dinners, and videos when I was younger, I wouldn´t have gotten married.

Actually, I was between jobs and not wanting to date when I sat by a woman at a job search office. She had just sworn off men, and a few years later, we got hitched.

It´s been work, but well worth it. Today, I might have second thoughts about even talking to her with the "me-too" movement.

Two criticisms of the piece.

The social opportunities open to women today are making them better catches and thus increasingly intimidating to too many young adult males, who approximate a mole.

I am so sick and tired of the fake meme that men are "intimidated" by women on a regular basis. Yes, the average Joe is afraid to talk to a Walk Street lawyer because she is so powerful!!! What a crock. As an accomplished male, my usual thought is, "another quota filled."

Secondly, the author paints men as passive. What he calls "passive" I call drama-free. You know why soap operas reined supreme on network TV for 50 years? Because women love drama. It´s what makes them tingle. Don´t paint a lack of interest in creating senseless confrontation as a shortcoming -- it´s what the body needs after a day of hunting and gathering under risk of death from the animal world.

I´ve seen this so-called masculinity problem develop, It´s called brainwashing and its beginnings can be traced to the cancer that is aggressive feminism and the tentacles that spread to teacher training and liberalism run amok in universities. It didn´t take long to fool young women into believing that little boys MUST be like little girls, i.e., more passive in class or they must be "beaten" or drugged into submission. Of course, that was totally wrong, but the political purpose behind it all was being served. We see today the results - society being weakened and future generations becoming insecure if girly men continue to kowtow to this aggressive feminism and the liberal destruction of our cohesive institutions.

Christine Blasey Ford´s lawyer has announced that Ms. Ford will not testify until the FBI completes yet another investigation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh that everyone knows will never happen. It was already highly unlikely she was ever going to testify; this is a convenient excuse, a stalling game. But it is more than the usual cheap political stunt. It´s vicious, ugly, and more than slightly sadistic. In regards to Judge Kavanaugh, Democrats are channeling Comrade Beria´s famous dictum: "Show me the man and I´ll show you the crime." Not only are they despicable to Kavanaugh — a man with an impeccable

ARLINGTON, Texas — One of the things that has made Blake Snell so good this season for the Rays is his refusal to be satisfied with anything he does. No matter how well he pitches, he finds flaws in his performance and identifies something he can perform better. Trust a "psychologist" to wreak havoc with someone else´s family. When Christine Blasey Ford finally surfaced her over three decades-old claim of sexual assault by Brett Kavanaugh, when they were both teenagers, did she consider for a moment the effect of her accusation on Kavanaugh´s daughters, already escorted from the hearing room after witnessing their father being endlessly attacked by maniacs in the audience, not to mention Kavanaugh´s wife? “Traitor” is normally considered a harsh word, but it is the only printable thing I have called “Republican” Senator Jeff Flake since he announced, a few hours ago, that he is “not comfortable voting yes” on Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. His concern is the ridiculously stale allegation by Democrat professor Christine Ford that Kavanaugh groped her and tried to kiss her at a party when they were both high school students more than 30 years ago. You might reasonably think this is a joke. Unfortunately not. Kavanaugh unequivocally denies Ford’s allegation, and the only witness to the event

It also warped the ´Global World order´. If the Bush years were an attempt to restore the promise of the turn of the century through American power, Obama represented an abandonment of that effort. After 2008, despite the Surge, the West no longer seemed resolved to turn back the calendar. Instead it would try to adapt to the new circumstances. Jeffrey Goldberg summarized the shift in a 2016

Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s treatment of a more than 3-decade-old sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was unfair all around. It was unfair to Kavanaugh, unfair to his accuser and unfair to Feinstein’s colleagues — Democrats and Republicans alike — on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Feinstein, a California Democrat, took the worst possible course by waiting until almost a week after Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing was completed to ominously announce that she had turned over “information from an individual” about Kavanaugh to the FBI, and adding that she would be honoring the woman’s “strongly requested” confidentiality.
