Twitter blocks posts that use phrase
‘illegal alien’ as ‘hateful content’

The American Mirror, by Victor Skinner

Original Article

Posted By:M2, 9/12/2018 4:20:38 PM

The federal government, U.S. Supreme Court, and lawyers across the country use the word “illegal alien” to describe immigrants who illegally enter the country, because that’s the definition in the law. But Twitter makes its own laws, and the social media giant is now blocking folks from promoting any messages with the phrase, which its moderators apparently consider “hate speech.” Twitter rejected a total of four ads from the Center but provided only vague reasoning for the decision.

Comments:
This is censorship, incompatible with a free society. Who has the guts to sue?

I guess some people aren´t comfortable with the legal law term for someone who is not in the U.S. legally.

Someone should ask Jack Dorsey, what terms are acceptable?

And, why he chooses to censor speech.

Facts you would prefer not to be true don´t instantly qualify as hate. That actually seems a bit like playing God, imposing your will on reality opposed to accepting reality.

No matter how you wish for it not to be the case the laws have not yet been repealed that define the legal means of border crossing rendering all other crossings to be illegal.

Do you object to the term burglar when the resource re-allocating uninvited guest breaks into your house?

How about intruder?

The deputy attorney general, Rod J. Mr. Rosenstein made these suggestions in the spring of 2017 when Mr. Trump’s firing of James B. Comey as F.B.I. director plunged the White House into turmoil.
