The whole world experienced the attacks of September 11, 2001, in real time. Videos, photos, and audio captured the horror wreaked that day by Islamic jihadists and the heroism of ordinary Americans. In our effort to never forget, Breitbart News provides you a visual remembrance of that fateful day when the world changed.

As someone noted on FOX News today, many of us learned about Pearl Harbor in the history books. Today, 17 years after the unimaginable events of September 11, 2001, we now must teach those who were too young to remember or born after that day, about what happened and who did it. Those who perpetrated this terrorism and attacked our nation are every growing in their numbers. And they are ALL bound by the violent ideology and Sharia law, regardless of how "peaceful" they are.

Unfortunately, we in the USA and other western nations, didn´t take this attack as the first shot of the Sharia takeover. Naively, we allowed unchecked immigration from some of the countries whose soldiers did this to us, and who would run sleeper cells while waiting for the ´right time´.

At the time, I felt we should have scared the shiite out of belligerent countries by turning them to dust. I feel even more so now.

Thank you, Breitbart and OP for posting. I thought I´d seen all the photos from 9/11, but I had never seen the photo of the south tower leaning right before it collapsed. Too many want to sweep this event under the proverbial rug. Too many of the young are not being taught who did this.

My first reaction upon learning it was muslims that perpetrated this attack was: We are going to own all their oil wells! Sure, we went to war, but we didn´t get anything out of it - contrary to leftists´ accusations.

The least we could have done was stop immigration from these countries, but what did we do? We let more in! Now our FBI cannot stop terrorist attacks even when they are warned ahead of time.

I always thought the World Trade Center towers should have been rebuilt, only 1 story higher. That would have shown that we were not defeated. Instead, we get memorials that muslims interpret as victory shrines, and then they wanted to build a mosque within earshot of those memorials. Gladly, that was defeated, but it will only be a matter of time before they get what they want, thanks to the politically correct morons in our country.

God Bless America - may we stay strong.

This started the events still unfolding today.
My nephew was alive and well, a new Marine officer and eight years later he was killed in a firefight in Afghanistan, taking part in the work of paying these 7th century barbarians back for their horror show.

Many others have and will fall in this literal war of two worlds. The civilized world against the barbarians. And yet, many of our "leaders" continue to pump the lie that Islam is "the religion of peace".

Clearly this is not factual.

#7 - thank you for your nephew´s service. A true American patriot and hero.

Those of us who lived and or worked in Manhattan will never forget. The photos are not a welcome reminder; what we witnessed will stay with us us until our dying day.

The anguish on families faces as they passed out flyers of their missing loved ones. The silence of hundreds as they passed the Trinty Church, horrified by what they saw. The recovery of loved ones body parts - limb at a time. The unspeakable pain of those who waited - who´s loved ones were never found.

The messenger bicycle chained to the scaffolding, weeks after the attack.

The originally approved design for the Shanksville memorial was to include a crescent-shaped line of trees partly framing the entire memorial and called The Crescent of Embrace. When complaints flooded in the designer was directed to redesign that feature. At that time he got in his digs at those supposedly simpleminded yokels who thought it was inappropriate to include a crescent shape as part of a memorial dedicated to people murdered by Islamists. He was incredulous that these bitter clinging deplorables were even more offended to know that the maple trees he chose just happen to turn red in the fall. And, according to Fox News and Tom Barnett’s father, the site was oriented to point to Mecca. I heard that changes in the design were made but don’t know if they were merely superficial. But why would such a design ever be approved at all?

AGUA CALIENTE, Guatemala -Up to 3,000 migrants crossed from Honduras into Guatemala on Monday on a trek northward, after a standoff with police in riot gear and warnings from Washington that migrants should not try to enter the United States illegally. The crowd more than doubled in size from Saturday, when some 1,300 people set off from northern Honduras in what has been dubbed “March of the Migrant,” an organizer said. The migrants plan to seek refugee status in Mexico or pass through to the United States.

Jeff Flake barely slept the night before he upended the battle for the Supreme Court. The Arizona senator had spent days agonizing over what to do with the explosive allegation that Judge Brett Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted a young woman when he was in high school. But when it was over, he felt he was no closer to knowing for sure what happened in that suburban-Maryland bedroom 35 years ago.

O’Rourke’s remarks were made after a black American asked the congressman if he supported illegal aliens being given U.S. citizenship despite breaking the country’s immigration laws. O’Rourke responded by saying that it is illegal aliens who are working at cotton gins today. The exchange went as follows:

While he won’t be on the ballot this November, President Trump and his performance in office will be a key issue in this year’s midterm elections. But before the campaigning starts in earnest, TV news reporters have saturated the airwaves with subjective language about the President’s emotional state, most of it casting him as an out-of-control hothead. MRC analysts looked at every broadcast evening news story about the President from January 1 through September 10, and tallied the various words reporters have used this year to describe Trump’s state of mind, grouping them by category. One of the most intriguing questions in respect of President Trump is why he was the only businessman to throw himself heart-and-soul into the race for the presidency. Americans, after all, are a people who celebrate capitalism. So why did the other billionaires fail to make a similar effort, throwing themselves hook, line, and personal jetliner into the race to lead America out of the Great Recession? We ask because of the remarks this week of the chairman of J.P. Morgan Chase, Jamie Dimon.
