Quote of The Day
It all depends on what the meaning of honest is:
"(I) walked over the spot where the friendly fire took so many of our men and
the mujahadeen yesterday. It was just, the whole place, just fried, really,
and bits of uniforms and tattered clothing everywhere. I said the Lord's
Prayer and really choked up."
"It was an honest mistake. Based on Geraldo Rivera's 30-year track record,
Fox News has full confidence in his explanation and journalistic integrity.
This is not the first, nor will it be the last, mistake made in a war zone."
-Verbatim report by Geraldo Rivera standing on ground hundreds of miles from
the incident. He now says report was "an honest mistake."
-Statement by Fox News
Boo Hoo To You, Too: Whatever the media geniuses over at VH1 ( where several
staffers are rumored to be over 17 years old) thought they were accomplishing
by removing Hillary's now famous booing scene of the rerun of the "Concert
for New York City" - they have simply compounded her embarrassment. There are
thousands who have that scene as wall paper on their computers. The
ever-sharp
Neal Travis reports.
The Latest Blame Game: American Airline officials are
justifiably irked at
the French Police
for permitting the Sneaker Talib to board that Paris to
Miami flight he tried to blow up
And, as if to show how they want things done, American
refused to board a member of President Bush's Secret Service detail on a
Baltimore the Dallas flight Christmas Day for simply looking Middle Eastern.
Seems
the agent didn't complain, a Muslim group did.
Just Asking: There are those who accuse us of being cynical and they may be
right, but does anyone find the tale of the Milwaukee mom who left her
toddler momentarily with a stranger at a Chicago bus station only to have the
baby kidnapped,
a bit Susan Smithish?
The mom appeared at a lectern bristling
with mikes, then made the rounds of the Chicago tv studios. Maybe we just ate
too much and are thinking bad thoughts.
Is Our Chain Being Pulled? Another bin Laden tape is on its way to
continuous looping on all cable news stations
via Al Jazeera TV today. We hope they get the non-government translators on
this one right away so we'll know what he really said. Somehow him saying we
have an "indescribable grudge" doesn't sound right. Already this morning
arm chair experts are saying that although the monster is left handed, he is
using only his right hand in the film. Someone else notices that he has the
wrong magazine in the rifle he is holding.
It's going to be that kind of a
day.
