Ahh-nuld....he's everywhere!
Proper Take on Yellow Cake: If it weren't high summer full of easy living this tedious 16 word faux shocker of a story probably would never have come as far as today's papers. Two weeks of this stuff and there is nothing left to say. Yet, the dems keep at it. What the big bored media needs is a good murder/divorce/star scandal/kidnapping to get them out of this rut. Here, Wes Pruden at the Washington Times sums it all up in a refreshing way.
No One Left To Vote For: Except for three toy candidates, there is no one on the left who will stick up for gay marriage. In a symposium yesterday before a Human Rights Campaign gathering (hosted by a rapidly aging and slightly giggly and not missed Sam Donaldson) even the very French John Kerry drew gasps and hisses for refusing to back such unions. The rationale seems to be that "it's a religious issue." So is abortion. Sounds like a dodge to us.
Blame It On Vacations: Clearly summer short-staffed, the section at the Washington Times in charge of making a phone call to determine the authenticity of an e-mail before it gets published, dropped the receiver. Yesterday's paper ran a letter signed by "a senior State Department diplomat" ripping the Foreign Service for lack of loyalty to the administration. It was a fake email from a not-fake address. It's been cleared up now but it does give one pause to know how easy it is to fake someone's address. Times honchos promised to track the hoaxer down. It will be interesting to see who gets a kick out of doing this.
LDotter Note: Again, we have to jump on posters about language. There are a lot of stories in the news about things we used to not talk about in public. We can't help that but this site was not built to add to the coarseness of the times. Sexual, scatological posts, posts that advocate death and dismemberment and posts that use offensive language will be deleted. The next time a poster gets lazy about their vocabulary, they will be banned. If you can't express yourself any other way go to dictionary.com and do a little work. There are chat rooms on the web where you can talk as dirty as you like. We are not one of them.
