Go Ahead, Hate Him Because He's Beautiful: Ah, but there's more not to like about Senator John Edwards, the North Carolina dem who looks like Laurie Dhue.. It seems he's secretly and single-handedly holding up a bill to cut our fighting men with student loans some repayment slack just so he can get credit for its passage later. Now he can consider himself blown-dry and busted.

Bashing The Beep: The British Army has joined Downing Street to jerk the BBC around for its outrageous coverage of the British participation in the Iraq war. This is quite an astounding turn of events. Rather like the White House and the Pentagon going after the New York Times for its deliberate distortions....hmmm, perhaps we are on to something.

Rush To The Rescue: Rush Limbaugh weighs-in with excellent commentary on the Supreme Court rulings that has the world astir and has us being asked to rethink the meaning of marriage. Does anyone see the irony in a group of people the country looks to for cutting-edge cultural innovation in design, style, fashion, theater and the arts in general, suddenly shrieking for something as heavy duty as marriage. Perhaps someone straight should quietly explain how much work marriage really is and the potential for it to be dull and unfunny - things the gays have always recoiled against. Perhaps then they'll stop all the nonsense, tell their partners they love them and go back to writing really great musicals.

Never Ending: The big dish of the day is bound to be the excerpts of yet another book about JFK, Jr. This time it is a lurid tale about his marriage, drugs and violence - hers, not his, he was a pussycat. This is all thanks to the aggressive flacks at Vanity Fair magazine and recycled information we distinctly remember reading in the National Enquirer and The Star last year. Oh well, its summertime.

LDotter Note: Just because you are headed out to cooler climes for the very, very long holiday weekend doesn't mean that we are. Our black-belt interns will be prowling the board, Igor has been de-duct taped and if you get bored with fun, sun and surf (whatever that is) we will be right here.
