John Podhoretz in the New York Post feels it was an attempt to change the subject from yesterday's hearings. Either way, the undertaking has shot panic into a lot of bureaucratic hearts and that's a good thing.

The story has nothing to do with her religion and we expect better of Ldotters. What is fair, however is to ask how many of you with 9 year old daughters think your girl could sit on the edge of the bed for hours without telling she had seen her big sister had been kidnapped at gunpoint?
