Fish got to swim, birds got to fly, I gotta get one man till I die, Can´t help nabbin’ dat man of mine. -- Adapted from Showboat Anyone who has read the document appointing Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate “any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump” knows how far-reaching and indiscriminate that Bill of Attainder -- er, that enabling order is. Generally, prosecutors -- which manner of beast a special counsel essentially is -- are mustered when there is a crime to be investigated. In this case, however, there was no

There is something immoral and obscene about this investigation.

Mueller is a swamp creature, I am sure all of his acquaintances tell him how great he is every day. Growing up during the Nixon era, Mueller probably thinks he´s the greatest thing to happen to America. In fact, he´s not the great straight arrow that the media and the GOPe keeps telling us. Mueller´s past is littered with poor decisions, poor judgement, and the ruined lives of those he persecuted.

There are several articles out about how Sessions appointed a second special prosecutor months ago, to look into the FISA and related shenanigans. If that´s true, we see dramatic differences in approaches between the two investigations:

1. We know Mueller is leading the fishing trip. Who is the prosecute investigating FISA abuse?

2. We know lots of stuff about the ´Russians and Trump´. Not one peep from this ´other´ investigation. Mind you, Congress is quite noisy, for and against.

3. We know Mueller has hired, and had to fire or dismiss several actors, who had conflicts of interest. Not a peep from FISA abuse investigation.

To this end, I suspect Sessions is either lying through his teeth about his FISA abuse investigation, or Mueller, who has been leaking like a high pressure hose that´s had an ice pick work over, has severely abused his office and authority, and should be fired and possibly disbarred.

Some action, please?

“Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

But, of course, Rod already knew that when he created Rosenstein’s Monster.

Iraq set for election recount amid fraud claims

BAGHDAD — Iraq´s Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a disputed law ordering a hand recount of the ballots from last month´s national elections after widespread allegations of fraud embarrassed political leaders and marred the initial result. What was supposed to mark the start of a new era for Iraq has turned into a political crisis as the charges of vote tampering grew too loud for Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi´s government to ignore. The May 12 election was the first since Iraq declared victory over the Islamic State group, which was in control of one-third of Iraqi territory just three years ago. But

The US Supreme Court has ruled in favor of digital privacy. In a 5-4 decision on Friday the justices decided that police need warrants to gather phone location data as evidence for trials. The Supreme Court reversed and remanded the Sixth Circuit court´s decision. Carpenter v. United States is the first case about phone location data that the Supreme Court has ruled on. That makes it a landmark decision regarding how law enforcement agencies can use technology as they build cases. The court heard arguments in the case on Nov. 29. The dispute dates back to a 2011 robbery in Detroit, after which police

In The Consolation of Philosophy, the 5th Century Greek scholar and Roman Consul Boethius wrote: “Compare the length of a moment with the period of ten thousand years; the first, however miniscule, does exist as a fraction of a second. But that number of years, or any multiple of it that you may name, cannot even be compared with a limitless extent of time, the reason being that comparisons can be drawn between finite things, but not between finite and infinite.” Boethius’ insight into the nature of asymmetrical comparison is perennially valid, whether with respect to philosophical and theological speculation, mathematical

Land O´Lakes teen recovering after
brush with venomous caterpillar

A Land O’ Lakes teen is recovering after being infected by something you may not expect: a caterpillar. A day of doing volunteer yard work on June 16 turned ugly when Logan Pergola’s arm brushed by an oak tree. “It just hurt like a small scratch," Logan told us. "Then all of the sudden, my arm went numb and I felt a burning pain." He looked down and saw a unlikely culprit: a small, furry caterpillar, later identified as a southern flannel moth. It’s also commonly called a puss caterpillar. His arm had simply brushed it when the venom went into

Tania Lavin is (or was, at last word) a fact-checker for the New Yorker. She achieved overnight Twitter-fame by accusing an ICE agent of being a white supremacist. The New York Post has the story: "A Harvard-educated fact-checker for the New Yorker is being excoriated by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency for “baselessly slandering” a Marine veteran — by falsely accusing him of having a Nazi tattoo, according to reports. (Snip) An obvious question is, what on God’s green Earth would cause anyone to think that the vaguely cross-like symbol on Gaertner’s elbow is a Nazi or white supremacist sign?

Every time you hear some young hip woke leftist at a technology company like Facebook telling you he needs to protect you from fake news, remember that what he´s saying is that you´re a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal who is too stupid to figure out that it´s okay for good people like Hillary to break the law. In fact, he´s saying the majority of Americans are too intellectually challenged to discriminate between fact and fiction. Historically, "common" folk were able to figure out that the National Enquirer´s stories about two-headed alien Elvis clones are fake and even that professional wrestling is staged.

It has been said a nation can have either welfare or open borders -- but not both -- in the same way one can have a cool air-conditioned room in a blazing desert or an open door -- but not both. It is the inequality between the outside and inside temperatures that the door is intended to preserve. The problem of keeping the room cool while leaving the door open is now consuming Angela Merekel´s European Union as the refugee problem grows in political size. Can the EU have no internal borders if it lacks an external one? If there´s no

Actor Peter Fonda apologized Wednesday afternoon for a threatening tweet in which he said Americans upset with the White House´s separation of illegal-immigrant families ´should rip Barron Trump from his mother´s arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles.´ The first lady´s office conferred with U.S. Secret Service about the incident. The agency wouldn´t say on Wednesday whether it had contacted the aging Oscar-winner directly. Fonda issued a statement hours later, shortly after President Donald Trump signed an executive order forbidding the government from detaining children separately from the adults who brought them across the U.S.-Mexico border. ´I tweeted

Judicial Watch today released newly obtained internal IRS documents, including material revealing that Sen. John McCain’s former staff director and chief counsel on the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee, Henry Kerner, urged top IRS officials, including then-director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner, to “audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous.” Kerner was appointed by President Trump as Special Counsel for the United States Office of Special Counsel. The explosive exchange was contained in notes taken by IRS employees at an April 30, 2013, meeting between Kerner, Lerner, and other high-ranking IRS officials. Just ten days following the meeting, former

Does someone from the Trump family, the Trump Cabinet, or even the Trump administration have to be assaulted or worse, killed, before we accept the fact that a growing number from the far-left have put a rhetorical bounty on their heads. If has-been actor Peter Fonda suggesting Barron Trump be "ripped from his mother´s arms and put in a cage with pedophiles" does not horrify you with the obscene brutality of its message, nothing ever will. From this cauldron of bubbling and putrid hate filled from the twisted minds of enraged liberal politicians, "journalists," entertainers, and academics, spews forth the dangerously

The latest cover of Time magazine criticizes President Trump´s tough border policy, by showing him looking down at a crying, two-year-old Honduran girl whose mother was detained after crossing the border. The photoshopped image is the latest ding against Trump and his zero tolerance policy, which led to the increased family separation of illegal immigrants. The cover is captioned, "Welcome to America." (Tweet/Video) On Wednesday, Trump signed an executive order aimed at putting an end to the practice of separating families, after calling on Congress, specifically Democrats, several times to change the laws.

The Minnesota Vikings made history on Thursday. Vikings players, coaches and members of the LGBTQ community came together for a first of its kind inclusion summit held by an NFL team. The LGBTQ summit and fundraising event was held at the TCO Performance Center Auditorium in Eagan. It centered around bridging the gap between the LGBTQ community and sports. (snip) Kluwe´s hope is that the NFL and other sports leagues take notice, and it sparks conversations leading to more acceptance of the LGBTQ community in the athletic world.

Sony Pictures Classics released a statement shredding actor Peter Fonda for his tweets, one of which called for 12-year-old Barron Trump to be raped — but the company said it would still release Boundaries, a new film co-starring Fonda.“Peter Fonda’s comments are abhorrent, reckless and dangerous, and we condemn them completely,” the film company said in an emailed statement late on Wednesday. However, the company went on to insist that pulling the upcoming Shana Feste-directed Boundaries, or trying to edit Fonda out of the film, would be “unfair” to the those involved. “It is important to note that Mr. Fonda
