The parents of a GOP candidate for the US Senate in Wisconsin have made the maximum contributions allowed in the race — to their son’s rival.Kevin Nicholson announced in July that he would seek the Republican nomination to challenge incumbent Sen. Tammy Baldwin in the 2018 mid-term elections. In December, his parents – Donna and Michael Nicholson – each donated the maximum amount – $2,700 – to Baldwin, CNN reported.Nicholson said he’s not surprised his parents would contribute to Baldwin, since they’ve always backed Democrats.“My parents have a different worldview than I do, and it is not surprising that they would

Hardly surprising. Dems have proven time and again that loyalty to the party comes before Loyalty to country, loyalty to family, and loyalty to God.

Wow. If anything defines what it´s like to be a "progressive", this is it. Politics above family. I´m proud of the son for escaping the lunacy in his home.

There is more to this story, I imagine. Certainly passive aggressive behavior on the part of the parents. Voting for his opponent is one thing, but contributing the maximum to the opponent´s campaign is downright pathological.

It hurts to say, but reminds me of Monica´s parents and sadly, Seth Rich´s parents.

Party above family. Even unto death. Heartbreaking.

Like I´ve been telling friends for a long time now, the dems are like the old soviet apparatchik. The communist party. They always put party ahead of country or anything else.

The newest iteration of the gun control debate concerns whether teenage survivors of last week’s shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, should be immune from criticism when they argue for gun control. This is a relatively new question: other school shootings, like Sandy Hook in 2012, have involved children too young to have opinions. But the answer is no: once you enter the political arena, your views are fair game.Democrats have perfected the art of using sympathetic public figures to argue for positions most Americans reject, then accusing critics of mean-spiritedness when they disagree. We saw that tactic

LOS ANGELES— Harvey Weinstein wants a judge to dismiss a federal sexual misconduct lawsuit against him and invoked the words and actions of Oscar-winning actresses including Meryl Streep in his defense.Lawyers for the disgraced film mogul said Tuesday in federal court in New York that the proposed class-action lawsuit filed by six women should be rejected because the alleged assaults took place too long ago and they failed to offer facts to support claims of racketeering. The lawyers cited comments made by Streep, who had said Weinstein had always been respectful in their working relationship.Streep issued a blistering

One of those confronting Rubio at a CNN´s "Stand Up" town hall Wednesday night was Fred Guttenberg, whose 14-year-old daughter Jaime Guttenberg was killed on Feb. 14 with 16 others. Guttenberg told Rubio that his comments about the shooting "and those of your president this week have been pathetically weak."

In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin offered her thoughts on the passing of Rev. Billy Graham and his profound personal legacy. Palin writes: Rev. Billy Graham was unlike other spiritual leaders in that God’s favor seemed to envelope him like no other. He was able to get the message of truth to untold millions of people, bypassing politics, denominational divisions, and modern cultural criticism. That made him more effective than any modern-day leader. My mom watched his revivals on TV in the 70s during what some call “The Jesus Movement” and gave her life

CNN’s Jake Tapper, host of the town hall held Wednesday night in Sunrise, Florida on the February 14 Parkland school massacre worked in 1997 as a spokesman for Handgun Control, Inc., the precursor to the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence. CNN and Tapper have failed to disclose Tapper’s anti-gun activism in advance of the town hall. (Photo) Tapper was quoted by the Chicago Tribune on September 12, 1997, attacking then NRA first vice president Charlton Heston. …Heston decreed that the Constitution’s 2nd Amendment — which refers to the “right of the people to keep and bear arms”–was the “most

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) said Wednesday that he did not know at the time that Russian trolls promoted his 2016 presidential campaign and wondered why Hillary Clinton´s team did not do more to tell voters about the extent of Russia´s election interference. In addition to their well-known efforts to boost Donald Trump, Russian trolls supported Sanders´ presidential primary campaign, when he mounted a surprisingly strong but ultimately unsuccessful challenge to Clinton, according to special counsel Robert Mueller´s indictment from last week. Mueller´s team indicted 13 Russian nationals and three companies for interfering in U.S. elections from 2014 to 2016.

CNN Faces Growing Criticism Over Use

The far-left cable channel CNN is facing a growing storm of criticism over its frequent use of minor children (14 to 17) to further its anti-gun agenda. Already a number of the children, those who witnessed last week’s shooting massacre at a high school in Parkland, Florida, have made countless appearances on the anti-Trump cable network. In furtherance of its anti-gun propaganda push, CNN’s anti-Trump pundit, Jake Tapper, will host a town hall Wednesday night featuring these children. Many, however, see CNN’s use of these minors as an act of partisan exploitation that is not only immoral, but also not good for

Asked in 1972 if he believed in miracles, Billy Graham answered: Yes, Jesus performed some and there are many "miracles around us today, including television and airplanes." Graham was no theologian. Neither was he a prophet. Jesus said "a prophet hath no honor in his own country." Prophets take adversarial stances toward their times, as did the 20th century´s two greatest religious leaders, Martin Luther King and Pope John Paul II. Graham did not. Partly for that reason, his country showered him with honors. So, the subtitle of Grant Wacker´s 2014 book "America´s Pastor: Billy Graham and the Shaping of a Nation"

Chris Hughes, a co-founder of Facebook and chair of the Economic Security Project, has a proposal to attack the problem of rising income inequality through a basic income, a system of wealth distribution in which people receive a standard salary just for being alive. And he wants to pay for it by raising taxes on the one percent. (Snip) To pay for this, Hughes proposes bringing tax rates on the top 1% of earners in the country to 50% — which is in line with the historical average, he said. Billy Graham and Ruth Bell met at Wheaton College in the fall of 1940. A vivacious and feisty beauty who had grown up in China as the daughter of Presbyterian medical missionaries, Ruth was the prize catch of her class. After a first date, to a performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” Billy wrote home to announce that he had met the girl he planned to marry. Ruth described Billy as “a man that knew God in a very unusual way.” Graham died Wednesday in his home in Montreat, N.C., at the age of 99. The courtship between Billy and Ruth, though hardly
