Susan Rice tries posterior-covering,
pokes a hornet´s nest instead

When the true story of the Obama administration – the constitutional crimes, the weaponizing of the IRS and the intelligence community, and the help given to Iran’s fanatical dictatorship – is finally told, Susan Rice will be seen as a tragi-comic figure. She’s willing to lie in public, most notoriously on five Sunday morning shows claiming the Benghazi assault was based on a YouTube video seen by a handful of people worldwide, even when those lies are easily exposed. The truth is that Rice is a henchwoman. She’ll do whatever is asked of her in support of those who elevated her

CYA 101: You must implement steps necessary to c your a well before the need for such covering becomes apparent, or your attempted CYA will be laughably obvious. Ms. Rice not only failed in her attempted CYA, but appears to be mooning everyone instead.

Poster No. 1 is right: If you need to document something via an email to yourself, you do that very soon after the event. That way, the details are fresh in your mind to put on record AND you have a time stamp.

But having a meeting on 5 January and then waiting until 20 January to document the meeting´s discussion is an invalid CYA. When your A needs C, this kind of documentation really doesn´t C your A. Why did you wait so long? What was the reason?

"Let your yes be yes and your no be no." Jesus said that about not swearing by heaven or by earth. It applies to CYA as well.

On attorney´s advice, I frequently document meetings and conversations with a memo to myself. But, as the earlier poster stated, it should be done promptly while memory is fresh and accurate. Two weeks later, neither freshness nor accuracy are dependable.

This sounds more like an order from the great kenyan fraud himself to get Rice to attempt to cover him. The late date? He was panicking when he had to leave the Oval Office and could no longer cover his tracks. He packed his pencil box and hightailed it to Tahiti. The email was to cover Obama´s skinny little butt, not her own more ample caboose.

#6, the standards for admission to Harvard for the AA protected group were significantly lowered so everything else had to be lowered accordingly.

Did she at least say "hold my beer and watch this" before she composed and sent it?

Some folks are so used to being given a pass that they presume, and are too often correct that they only need to throw some flimsy excuse out there and everything will be fine.

Uh-oh. Wasn´t it just weeks ago that the Washington swamp declared House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes, a California Republican, a goner in his re-election effort? Here´s what the headline on The Hill looked like less than a month ago last April: "Election forecaster: Nunes seat no longer ´safe´ Republican." The article gushes about how Nunes had a Democratic challenger for his House seat and the challenger had raised more than a million dollars. His seat was no longer...safe! Oooh, scary, scary. Turns out it was all baloney. Here´s the new headline, from the Washington Examiner: "Devin Nunes´ fundraising explodes

James Clapper has a brand new book to sell, which must be his excuse for forgetting Denis Healey´s First Law of Holes: "When in one, stop digging." Yesterday, he appeared on The View and brought a metaphorical shovel with him. The entire nine-and-a-half-minute segment is embedded below, and it is worth watching if only to observe the bizarre facial expressions he manifested while tap-dancing around the truth of what he and other members of the cabal have been caught doing. Fortunately for those in a hurry, Doug Ross put together a collage of his contortions that reveal his stress and discomfort

A new report out from Bloomberg (first spotted on Axios Vitals) signals that China has more ways to defeat us than merely through its military buildup: Federal prosecutors in Mississippi charged [Chinese national] Yan, 41, in September with leading an empire built on the manufacture and sale of drugs related to fentanyl, one of the world´s deadliest and most profitable narcotics. So strong that it´s been studied as a chemical weapon, the drug has saturated American streets with breathtaking speed: It kills more people than any other opioid, including prescription pills and heroin, because it´s so easy to overdose.

For Democrats, succoring illegals and doling out nationalized "free" health care are signature issues. What better way to enact that agenda than to offer California´s abundant illegal aliens free state health care? That´s the scheme they´ve cooked up, in their relentless push to make California a West Coast imitation of socialist Venezuela. It´s so bad that it´s likely to draw California voters toward Republicans. Here´s what´s going on, from Politico´s Victoria Colliver: California is poised to become the first state in the nation to offer full health coverage to undocumented adults even as the Trump administration intensifies its crackdown by separating families at

When Apple sought approval of its plans to build a massive 2.8 million square foot “spaceship headquarters in 2013, it made a deal that included giving up a $2 million-a-year tax break from the City of Cupertino. In the words of the San Jose Mercury-News back then: The nearly $2 million in Apple sales tax that Cupertino will now get to keep its hands on is only a small part of a list of goodies that the company’s presence provides the town every year, said analyst Tim Bajarin with Creative Strategies. “Apple pours money back into the Cupertino economy in a lot

Back in December 1972, Nicaragua was hit by a horrible earthquake. It killed 10,000 people, devastated villages, and may have been the beginning of the end of Somoza´s reign. The damage exposed the corruption and inefficiencies of the regime. A couple of days ago, an air crash in Cuba killed 100 people and exposed some serious problems in the Castro regime. My good Cuban friend, Dr. Carlos Eire, brought this item to my attention: Cuba´s problems have gotten so bad that, a few weeks ago, the country grounded most of its domestic flights because of safety concerns over its fleet. Not everyone from the Parkland school shooting is an activist for gun control. Kyle Kashuv, in fact, is quite adamant that the Second Amendment is not the problem; government failure is. And he´s defying a blue wave to get that word out. At an American Freedom Alliance conference on guns and school shooting yesteday in Los Angeles, Kashuv, the bright kid who defied the media ´narrative´ about gun control came out in favor of the Second Amendment, has begun organizing for it, urging conservatives to fight the moves to grab guns and sway young voters in thrall to leftist blather as

NFL club owners are considering potential 15-yard penalties for kneeling during the national anthem among ways of coping with a backlash over player protests, Sports Illustrated reported Tuesday. According to a story on the magazine´s website, owners set aside three hours to talk about the anthem issue, which President Donald Trump elevated into a major controversy last year. Ideas to handle players kneeling during the anthem included allowing home teams to decide if players should be out of the locker room during the pre-game playing of The Star-Spangled Banner or not.If players are on the sideline, then 15-yard

President Trump cannot block people from his @realDonaldTrump account just because he doesn’t like their political views, a Manhattan federal judge ruled on Wednesday. Doing so violates their First Amendment right to free speech because Twitter is a “public forum,” Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald wrote in a landmark ruling that could change how public officials use Twitter. “We reject the defendants’ contentions that the First Amendment does not apply in this case and that the President’s personal First Amendment interests supersede those of plaintiffs,” the judge wrote in her 75-page ?decision. The Boy Scouts will reportedly provide condoms at the upcoming World Scout Jamboree. The World Organization of Scouting Movement handbook requires the host organization to “ensure that condoms are readily and easily accessible for all participants and [International Service Team staff] at a number of locations on the site.” The 2019 World Scout Jamboree will be held in West Virginia from July 21 to Aug. 1. The theme is “Unlock a New World.” The World Jamboree is an official World Organization of the Scout Movement event.
