How The Media Buried Two
Huge FBI Stories Yesterday

The Federalist, by Mollie Hemingway

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 2/9/2018 2:21:07 PM

For more than a year and a half, the media have gone all-in on reporting every possible angle of President Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia. No story update has been too small, no encounter with a Russian too inconsequential, and no anonymous source too sketchy to generate outsize coverage and histrionic claims from major media. But as the Russian collusion story disintegrates, another interesting story ascends. Investigations by multiple congressional committees as well as an investigation by the inspector general of the Department of Justice have shown irregularities in the handling of the most politically sensitive probes in recent memory:

I wish all the reporters were like Mollie Hemingway. I would quibble with her in describing the media as ´suddenly incurious.´ They have always been incurious when it relates to crimes and misdeeds from Democrats. I am truly concerned about the media in this country and how we remedy their outright refusal to report news and facts. They weren´t given such extraordinary privileges under our Constitution only to have them abuse and misuse them. I repeat myself when I say I wish there was a way to punish them because they really deserve it.

Mollie is the only person worthwhile to listen to on any of the Fox News panel shows.

Mollie was on Special Report last week with AB Stoddard. When Mollie was done with AB AB´s head almost exploded. I used twitter to congratulate Mollie on her prowess.

My undertaker friend doesn´t bury as many as the media does. And he buries everybody in town.

We need yet another special counsel to investigate COLLUSION among the Democrats, the DOJ, FBI, State, IRS and the main stream media, with special attention to all of the reporters mentioned in this article.

#1, I would add Byron York to that short list.

Mrs. Hemingway is a real journalist, a treasure in an industry filled with communist Ted Baxters.

If you read MSM ´stories´ you deserve to remain uninformed, because you will be getting either FAKE news or not getting REAl news, which they often omit or relegate to small print on the back pages. There are many sites where valid news is available.

Not sure why the msm even bothers. We get to the truth regardless of the msm´s attempts to hide the truth from us.

The thing that puzzles me, even on media that is friendly to the right, is WHY are they defending government?

If government does good things, report the facts and let the audience decide. If the government does bad things, make the factual case for it being bad and, again, let the audience decide.

Government should speak for itself and media should allow their statements to be passed to the people. This person says this. If these government people are competent they should be able to make their point without the media "explaining" things or speculating facts that would support the media´s desired outcome, i.e. opinion.

Of course the low lifes we have in government often DELIBERATELY don´t state a clear case. They expect the media to fill in the blanks and then the government official has deniability. "I" never said that. What is unsaid is that the media speculation is exactly what the politician wanted the public to believe, even though it´s not the truth. What´s worse is that most people in media would have to be morons to believe the politician. They go along with the politicians they like and skewer those they don´t.

Most media, aligned with the Left, have long covered for dems. Unfortunately, more Conservative media, perhaps seeking a level playing field, is doing the same for the right. It´s a bad practice.

As far as I can tell from reading the piece, the two huge stories are

1. The FBI´s close ties with the Hillary campaign in developing the Trump surveillance program.
2. Obama´s involvement in the FBI´s Trump surveillance program.

Or did I miss something?

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) and ranking committee member Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) each asserted counter-narratives on Saturday over government surveillance of a former Trump campaign advisor. As the White House released a memo produced by Schiff and House Democrats accusing Nunes of doctoring a report on surveillance practices, the committee chairman took center stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). “We actually wanted this out,” said Nunes of Schiff’s memo, adding there is “clear evidence” that Democrats are colluding with “parts of the government” to cover up FISA court abuses. Schiff’s memo claims that Nunes’ report “draws

The House Intelligence Committee on Saturday released a long-awaited Democratic rebuttal to a GOP memo that outlined alleged government surveillance abuses during the 2016 presidential campaign. (Snip) The Democratic rebuttal finds that the FBI had an "independent basis" for investigating Page´s motivations, and that he had been targeted for recruitment by the Russians. It also claims that the DOJ "repeatedly informed the Court about Steele´s background, credibility, and potential bias." It also says that the Justice Department infomed the FISA court that Stelle was hired by "politically-motivated U.S. persons and entities and that his research appeared intended for use "to

Last night Broward County Sheriff Union President Jeff Bell appeared on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show to discuss the Broward County deputy response to the Parkland Florida school shooting. [The key segment is at 05:00 prompted below] Within the conversation Mr. Bell points to the 2013 Broward County School Board policy known as the “Promise Program“. The Promise Program is the collaborative policy between all county officials the school superintendent, school board and law enforcement that instructs officers to not arrest high school students. This policy sits at the center of understanding why Nikolas Cruz was not intercepted by law

The Democratic rebuttal memo to the Republican House Intelligence Committee memo on alleged government surveillance abuses was released Saturday afternoon. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., acknowledged its release at his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference, at about 4 p.m. (Snip) The Democratic memo says in its first page that "FBI and DOJ officials did not ´abuse´ the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) process, omit material information, or subvert this vital tool to spy on the Trump campaign." Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera was met with boos and jeers when he voiced support for gun reform at this year´s Conservative Political Action Conference. Speaking on a panel as part of Sean Hannity’s Fox News show live at the conservative event on Thursday night, Rivera said Trump was so “moved” by the student survivors of last week´s school shooting in Parkland, Fla., that he was looking at adopting modest changes, possibly even over over the objections of the National Rifle Association (NRA). “We need to do something. Plans for President Trump’s requested military parade in the nation’s capital are moving forward after National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster ordered the military to start planning the event for Veterans Day, a senior U.S. official confirmed Friday to Fox News. Trump has requested that the procession run from the White House to Capitol Hill on the national holiday, which this year coincides with the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel—the man whose agency failed to prevent the Parkland massacre despite having received a tip last November that Nikolas Cruz was plotting a mass shooting—has been accused of public corruption. Two years ago, the Sun Sentinel reported that Israel was rewarding top political supporters by giving them and their family members cushy jobs doing public relations and community outreach for the Broward County Sheriff´s Office. One such position, outreach manager, paid out a salary of $78,489. The person who got that job was the husband of Israel´s campaign manager. Israel had been a Republican but ran

John Kasich’s inner circle is gearing up for a possible presidential run in 2020 — actively weighing the prospect of a Republican primary challenge to President Donald Trump against the feasibility of a long-shot general election campaign as an independent. And there’s one consideration driving their thinking perhaps more than any other: what some of his advisers consider the very real, maybe even likely, possibility that Trump doesn’t run again — by choice or not — or that the president becomes so politically hobbled by late next year that the political landscape fundamentally shifts in Kasich’s favor. That’s one reason

A Harvard law grad argued Thursday that armed teachers would shoot black students. Elie Mystal, who graduated and practiced law with a Harvard University law degree, made the case for why armed teachers would shoot black students, reported The College Fix. He published the argument on Above the Law, a law blog he edits. Mystal argued that arming teachers would be pricey, not dissuade potential shooters, and “directly result in students of color being shot to death at school.” “I know that because the only other group of public employees that is armed at the behest of the state shoots

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called on Friday for a "conversation about what the right to bear arms means in the modern world," and questioned why Americans should have access to "military weapons." "I think it is time for us to have a conversation about what the right to bear arms means in the modern world," Rice told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. "I don’t understand why civilians need to have access to military weapons." "We wouldn’t, we wouldn’t say you can go out and buy a tank," she continued. "So I do think we need to have that conversation." Rice´s comments

A discussion among students at Oberlin High School in Oberlin, La., about a mathematical symbol led to a police investigation and a search of one of the student’s homes, according to the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office. On the afternoon of Feb. 20, detectives investigated a report of terroristic threats at the school, where they learned that a student had been completing a math problem that required drawing the square-root sign. Students in the group began commenting that the symbol, which represents a number that when multiplied by itself equals another number, looked like a gun.

A report released Friday claims four of Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel’s deputies waited outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School while the attack was occurring. On February 22 Breitbart News reported that one deputy resigned after it was learned that he was on scene but failed to control Nikolas Cruz. Sheriff Israel told ABC 13 that video shows the deputy, Scott Peterson, “arrive at the west side of Building 12” and “take a position” outside the school — but never go inside. The sheriff’s office moved to suspend Peterson, who resigned before the suspension could take place. Now CNN reports

The way Rush Limbaugh sees it, CNN has become so consumed by hatred of President Donald Trump that everyone at the network has full-on descended into madness. The conservative radio host began his Friday show by applauding Trump’s CPAC speech and saying once again that CNN’s town hall on the Parkland shooting was nothing but terrible, nasty, anti-gun mind control. After that, he turned his attention to a CNN piece published Thursday titled “Trump’s language on school shooter’s mental health could be harmful, experts say,” which asserts that Trump and NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch are not helping discussions about mental
