Moody´s: US finances set to
´deteriorate,´ risking credit rating

U.S. government finances are going to "deteriorate" in the years ahead, Moody´s Investors Service said Friday, which will eventually put the country´s triple-A rating at risk. The credit rating agency noted in an in-depth report on the government´s fiscal situation that its balance sheet will "continue to weaken over the coming decade and become a source of downward pressure on the credit profile." Moody´s specifically cited the tax cut signed into law by President Trump in January, which is estimated to add around $1 trillion to deficits over the next decade. Trump also a budget bill Friday meant to allow Congress to

This really frightens me. Where are all those fiscally responsible Republicans? What those politicians in DC are doing is horrific. They are so reckless and irresponsible. Will this further cause the stock market to tank? This is unsettling to say the least.

Or maybe all that new tax revenue from income and business growth, plus fewer people on the dole (welfare, food stamps) will IMPROVE our credit rating.

Wow, who knew that after $9 trillion incinerated by Obama, a $1 trillion return of taxes to the people who earned the money, resulting in prosperity and even greater tax collections (Laffer Curve) would destroy the nation´s finances? Goes to show ya!

We all knew this! And the ONLY WAY to deal with the problem is: GROW THE ECONOMY!

And, that takes a Donald Trump.

Expansion of the economy and growth of business and wages will provide increasing government revenues. Trouble is, they can´t put a number on it, so they assume the worst.

I guess if things go to Hell in a hand basket, we will have to cut foreign aid even more and get more mooches off the welfare program. Maybe even reduce the size of government a lot more!

Okay. (sigh!) I´ll drag out the Nevadadad Triduodecahedron future telling device and see what it says about this- Consulting, consulting. Ah, there it is. It´s - wait- focus, focus- dial in three years in the future- Ah, clear. "The Triduodecahedron says, US finances to (wait for it!) remain stronger than ever for the next three years and - Donald Trump is to be reelected in a landslide of historical proportions."

Whoa! What a bonus. I did not even ask about the election of 2020. Whadaya know about that?

And everyone already knows the patented Nevadadad Triduodecahedron Future Telling Device is every bit as good as any other future telling device, even the one at Moodys, which I bet cost a lot more.

I´m hoping Trump doesn´t end up bogged down in the swamp! I´ve got confidence in him (still)... but the confidence is rattled a bit by our do-nothing deep-state Congress (only about 10 of whom seem to even care about the National Debt any more) and the faceless pulsating-amoeba bureaucracy that only grows.

Tax cuts do not add to deficits. Only spending adds to a deficit.

Stupid, stupid, stupid (intentionally misleading?) ´economics views, ignoring the huge increases in tax revenues that the tax reduction, business expansion, and returning moneu from overseas will have on the deficit.

Apparently Krugman´s Idiots have the reins at Moody´s these days.

It was fine for The Zero to add $10 trillion to double the debt in 8 yrs, but this possible deficit will be the end of everything?

No buying the BS they are selling.

I suppose ignorant children born after ´86 cannot grasp that the economy will grow a lot due to the Trump tax cuts. I took Macroeconomics in college, and the text was very, very slanted. Fools like Galbraith and Paulson were honored with pages of explanation, while the genius Milton Friedman got 4 or 5 paragraphs in a sidebar. Even then, it was obvious to me that Paulson and Galbraith were full of it, and Friedman had it figured right. Since most of these dimbulbs probably got the same or worse brainwashing, and believed it, likethat fool Krugman, they are educated idiots.

Keith Olbermann is expanding his role at ESPN — but it was nearly even bigger. The largest aspect of Olbermann’s expanded role with ESPN is that he will co-host around 20 “SportsCenter” 11 p.m. shows. Olbermann’s rise to national prominence came when he and his partner, Dan Patrick, hosted the program they dubbed “The Big Show.” Sources said ESPN considered offering Olbermann the full-time 6 p.m. “SportsCenter” show, but ultimately decided against it for a variety of reasons, including logistics, as the show will continue in Bristol and Olbermann lives in New York. The 6 p.m. show ultimately went to

Obama’s former DNI Chief James Clapper told CNN last Thursday “it was a good thing” the FBI was spying on Trump’s campaign. This was after he initially denied the Intelligence Community was spying on Donald Trump. Clapper told CNN it was a good thing if the FBI had someone “observing” the Trump’s campaigns interaction with the Russians because the “Russians posed a threat to the very basis of our political system.” (Snip) Now this… Clapper is continuing to change his story. Today he told Axios the deep state spying on Trump was actually “Benign version of information gathering.” Via Zero Hedge:

The FBI Spied for LBJ’s Campaign

Is it unthinkable that the Federal Bureau of Investigation would spy on a presidential campaign for political purposes? I can personally attest that it has happened before—during Barry Goldwater’s 1964 campaign. Every poll agreed that President Lyndon B. Johnson would easily win the election against the conservative Sen. Goldwater of Arizona. But LBJ wanted a landslide so he could implement his Great Society vision without resistance and go down in history as one of America’s greatest presidents. (Snip) Thus was born Johnson’s “Anti-Campaign” to smear Goldwater’s candidacy. The operation was run from the second floor of the West Wing by

Far-left Parkland activists threw themselves on the floor of a Florida grocery store on Friday, screaming and yelling for customers to boycott the store because of political donations that it had made. The "die-in" was organized by far-left activist and provocateur David Hogg, who has launched multiple boycotts aimed at those who support the NRA or who criticize him. Former White House adviser Anthony Scaramucci said Friday he won´t to a cable TV show with Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti, and joked that one reason why is because Avenatti is bald. "I´m not doing a TV show with Avenatti, no," Scaramucci said on "Fox and Friends." "I like people with a full head of hair." (Snip) A TV executive reportedly pitched the idea of a political show starting the two outspoken spokesmen, but Avenatti said he has "no interest in television right now," even though he has appeared on TV dozens and dozens of times over the last month.

Hillary Clinton continued to attack the Electoral College system used to elect U.S. presidents on Friday, calling it an "odd system" and contrary to the idea of "one person, one vote." "You know, it is maddening because one of the panelists said we get the government that we vote for. Now, we have this odd system with the Electoral College." Clinton defeated Donald Trump in the popular vote by nearly three million

President Barack Obama took a light swing at his successor during a tech conference in Las Vegas on Wednesday. His eight years in office were scandal free, he told the audience. "I didn´t have scandals, which seems like it shouldn´t be something you brag about," Obama joked. President Donald Trump’s presidency has thus far been racked with scandalous allegations, but Obama later hedged his barb. "But actually,” he said, “if you look at the history of the modern presidency, coming out of the modern presidency without anybody going to jail is really good. It´s a big deal." The reason his

Until 1968, Walter Cronkite believed what his government told him about the Vietnam War. He was an old-school journalist, a patriot, a man who came of age covering World War II as a wire-service reporter and then taking over as the anchor of “The CBS Evening News” at the height of the Cold War. Like most journalists of his generation, he embraced the fight against communism and understood why the United States had intervened in the war raging in Vietnam. When he’d visited Vietnam on a reporting trip early in the war, he’d been annoyed by the attitude of the young

Since the incident, which sparked protests and threats of a boycott against a chain known for actively promoting a diverse workforce and taking liberal stands on issues such as same-sex marriage, senior executives have repeatedly apologized. Florida-based supermarket chain Publix announced Friday that corporate-backed political contributions will be suspended “as we reevaluate our giving processes” – an announcement that came shortly before Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg’s “die-in” protest. In response to the revelation earlier this month that Publix donated $670,000 to Florida GOP gubernatorial candidate Adam Putnam, Hogg organized the “die-in” protest to occur at a Publix in Coral Springs on Friday where participants were instructed to lie down in the store for 12 minutes. Shortly before the protest was set to begin at 4 p.m., Publix issued a statement regarding the suspension of corporate-funded
