WASHINGTON — The Latest on Congress and spending legislation (all times local): 5:30 a.m. The House has narrowly passed a sweeping bipartisan budget accord, ending an hours-long government shutdown and clearing a path for huge spending increases for both the Pentagon and domestic programs. The 240-186 vote sends the $400 billion spending plan to President Donald Trump, who has promised to sign it. Passage of the measure came over the opposition of Democratic leaders who demanded the promise of a vote to protect “Dreamer” immigrants brought to the country illegally as children. A band of tea party Republicans swung against the legislation as

Will someone please make the argument that the government does not deserve one cent until they can responsibly account for the billions that go missing? We need accountability in the form of meaningful audits of every department. We cannot just pour billions into an arrogant behemoth that clearly cannot be responsible. These bureaucrats must be held accountable to the American people. The waste, fraud and neglect to protect the hard earned dollars they are given is an abomination. Every aspect of spending should be looked at with the intention of making sure that the money is used wisely. I am inscensed that these thieves are allowed to increase spending when they have proven they are not responsible with the funds they have already been given in the past. Should we be rewarding such fiscal irresponsibility? I think not.

Remember if you will, the heady days of 2010-11 when the PEOPLE said "ENOUGH" and the Tea Party movement was formed to repudiate the wild spending and socialism of Nobama.

The RINOcrats are leading us to oblivion.

People worship Mr. Trump as all powerful and all-knowing just like the left did with Nobama.

The MASSIVE repudiation of Nobama came because of the TWO massive infusions of spending and the over reach of BIG Government.

Where are we just a few short year down our mortal coil???

Have we lost our minds, or have the politicians been allowed to make "deals" that sell U.S. out?

EVERYONE KNOWS this debt will NEVER be paid, hoping somehow that the economy will save us yet again, but the old grey mare is about to croak over burdened by its workload because of the ever increasing LOAD it is supposed to carry.

It is unconscionable that we continue to push the can down the road to oblivion in the destruction of our nation to our great grandchilen YET UNBORN.

WE must CUT spending and reign in further government growth where possible or the "last, great hope" will not survive.

Its time to bring back the tea party movement and let the media and the out of touch politicians of BOTH parties BE DAMNED.

I guess the media (and the so called Senate ´leadership´) consider it a wonderful thing (victory!) when progressives on both sides of the (bipartisan) aisle agree to spend OUR MONEY beyond our means. Whoopie!

Why do they call it a budget? It is nothing like a budget. It´s more like living paycheck to paycheck. What they are doing is exactly what many impoverished people do. Beer and cigarettes are more important than food and shelter. In other words, it isn´t the necessities that are important, but the superfluous.

Nutsy Nancy Pelosi swore she would shut this down since it didn´t guarantee the "dreamers" would get instant citizenship. She babbled on for over 8 hours to make that point.

More than anything, this shows just how little power and influence this nutcase woman has any more.

Sadly, the MSM won´t bring this up. They will trash Rand Paul, but Nutsy Nancy if off limits!!!

President Donald Trump demanded to know Sunday when special counsel Robert Mueller was going to ´STOP!´ probing into alleged Russian influence on the presidential election and turn his investigative power onto Hillary Clinton. There was a depressing familiarity both to Hamas’s suicide protest operation along Gaza’s border with Israel this week and to Israel’s response to it. Hamas’s jihadist regime in Gaza doesn’t have a lot of cards to play in its continuous war against the Jewish state. But, as we have been seeing since Hamas launched its campaign against the border six weeks ago, it does have one card, and no matter how often it plays that card, Israel can’t seem to figure out how to beat it. Hamas’s card is Western hostility to Israel. The Western media, along with the EU and most

Donald Trump has stayed uncharacteristically quiet on Twitter without posting a single tweet about the royal wedding. The President, who is usually especially active on the social media network early in the day, did not tweet anything all morning about the nuptials between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which ended at 9.00am ET. Rumors swirled about whether Trump would be invited to the wedding at Windsor Castle in Berkshire, but he was eventually left off the guest list, along with other political leaders. Prominent figures who made the cut included Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney and the Beckhams. Other A-listers including Idris

Hawaii´s Kilauea volcano is violently spewing lava up to 200 feet in the air and firing out lava bombs the size of refrigerators in apocalyptic scenes with six of 22 fissures active on Friday. The latest in more than two weeks of eruptions has sent fresher, hotter lava speeding towards an isolated residential area, and officials are using helicopters to see if there is anyone still there that needs assistance, Hawaii News Now reported. Residents who have already evacuated the affected area have been told not to try and return home, and emergency services and the national guard are being sent to

The man who is sixth in line to be king of Great Britain is getting married today and America has lost its mind. What does it mean to be sixth in the line of royal succession to an office that depends solely and exclusively on who your father is? It means that five family members have to die before you get the real goodies. Granted, those goodies are amazing. Who wouldn´t want to live in a thousand year old castle (too bad it´s in Scotland) or have dozens of "servants" cater to your every whim and need? But that lifestyle depends on people believing that you are deserving of such wealth and privilege because you happened to be

More than 700 students and guests are registered to attend Harvard´s first Black Commencement, which will take place two days before the school´s traditional graduation events. (Snip) Every student will receive a stole made of traditional African kente cloth, meant to symbolize their shared heritage and to be worn with their cap and gown at the university´s graduation. Students have raised $35,000 for the event, mostly from schools within the university.

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton acknowledged Friday that Democratic candidates around the country still face basic questions about what they stand for and which policies their party supports. Speaking at a Democrat Women’s Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C., Clinton urged party leaders to return to the basics and lay out the party’s values for voters. Fair wages, the “absolute promise of universal health care,” public school funding, gun safety reform and equal pay were at the top of the former first lady’s agenda items that she thought should stay central to the Democratic Party’s platform.
