Do not say I love Israel BUT
Arutz Sheva [Israel], by Jack Engelhard

Most of the letters I get from my columns or books are pretty all right…but I also get them asking why I remain such a stickler for America, Israel and Trump. Why am I so “one-sided” and why can’t I see the “other side” once in a while? Mainly, I have to say, at this point in our culture, so fractured, so over-heated, so mean-spirited, there is no choice but to pick your side and stick to it without qualms.…no dithering. Dithering is for philosophers. Writing about the events of the day – as a columnist -- demands a clear decisive point of

Thank you Jack.
I attended a republican caucus last night, some of the candidates looking for endorsement might as well be democrats. Disappointed.

Clear, concise and 100%, yes 100%, spot on. The stakes have become too high to be otherwise.

This guy Engelhard is spot on! I couldn’t agree with him more. Bipartisan means compromising with things you don’t believe in. It means caving to the left. No thank you, I’ll not change just to get along with the ignorant uninformed jerks on the left.

Excellent! Finally, someone articulates the benefits of an all-or-nothing, black-and-white set of convictions, instead of wishy-washy middle-of-the-road positioning.

Compromise may sound sophisticated and may work in business, politics and the law, but not in worldviews and personal choices.

So much for shades of grey and good riddance.

"That’s pretty much it these days – in or out. There is no middle."

Short and brilliant article. we are not alone in our thinking that the left has gone nuts and there is no obligation to compromise or "reach across the aisle." Stay the course.

There was an article a few days ago (dont remember where I saw it) that said as soon as anyone prefaces a statement with "but" like that, it erases the entire statement.
For instance, we had a poster here some years ago who prefaced gun threads with "I support the second amendment BUT"... Then it was followed by a statement that was antithetical to the second amendment.
Beware of the buts.

FTA: "Is he [Trump] perfect? Compared to Obama, yes."

That´s wonderful. As might be said in Miami´s Little Havana, "Chu got it, mang."

More than two-thirds of Americans credit President Donald Trump for the country’s healthy economy, a new poll has revealed. The CBS News poll which was released on Sunday shows a sharp partisan divide, with Republicans more likely to give the president positive reviews while Democrats and Independents are not as complimentary. According to the survey, 35 per cent of Americans say Trump’s policies are ‘a great deal’ responsible for the economy. Around the same number - 33 per cent - say the president’s policies are ‘somewhat’ responsible. Nearly one-third say that Trump is either ‘not very’ or ‘not at all’ responsible for the strong

´Stop!´ Trump demands of Mueller

President Donald Trump demanded to know Sunday when special counsel Robert Mueller was going to ´STOP!´ probing into alleged Russian influence on the presidential election and turn his investigative power onto Hillary Clinton. In a long, bitter Twitter rant the president railed against the cost of the investigation, calling it a ´$20,000,000 Witch Hunt´ that has found ´no Collussion with Russia, No Obstruction, but they aren´t looking at the corruption in the Hillary Clinton Campaign.´ Trump´s words of rage echoed the remarks of his private attorney Rudy Giuliani, who also said the investigation was a waste of $20 million during an interview

Israel’s sucker’s game

There was a depressing familiarity both to Hamas’s suicide protest operation along Gaza’s border with Israel this week and to Israel’s response to it. Hamas’s jihadist regime in Gaza doesn’t have a lot of cards to play in its continuous war against the Jewish state. But, as we have been seeing since Hamas launched its campaign against the border six weeks ago, it does have one card, and no matter how often it plays that card, Israel can’t seem to figure out how to beat it. Hamas’s card is Western hostility to Israel. The Western media, along with the EU and most

Donald Trump has stayed uncharacteristically quiet on Twitter without posting a single tweet about the royal wedding. The President, who is usually especially active on the social media network early in the day, did not tweet anything all morning about the nuptials between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which ended at 9.00am ET. Rumors swirled about whether Trump would be invited to the wedding at Windsor Castle in Berkshire, but he was eventually left off the guest list, along with other political leaders. Prominent figures who made the cut included Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney and the Beckhams. Other A-listers including Idris

A theological who’s who of Leftist Christian leaders are organizing a march on the White House to ‘Reclaim Jesus’ from President Donald Trump that is set for the evening of May 24. One of the leaders of the anti-Trump march is Rev. Michael Bruce Curry who ‘stole the show‘ with his lengthy sermon at the British royal wedding on Saturday between Prince Harry and American Meghan Markle. Three march organizers were spiritual advisors to President Barack Obama while one counseled President Bill Clinton during the Lewinsky scandal and later endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in 2016. Pope Francis has reportedly told a gay man that "God made you that way and loves you as you are," apparently pushing the pontiff´s acceptance of homosexuality to a new level. Francis made the comments to Juan Carlos Cruz, a Chilean victim of priestly sexual abuse who recently spent days with the pope at the Vatican to discuss his ordeal as the pontiff moves to tackle decades of coverups and ostracism of victims in the Chilean church, according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais. Cruz was quoted as having discussed his homosexuality with Francis. "He told me: ´Juan Carlos, I

Former Secretary of State John Kerry warned President Donald Trump Sunday that Democrats are not afraid to go against his “America First” policies. “We won’t win, any of us, ultimately, by retreating within our borders, by focusing on our own nations only, or by going it alone,” Kerry told those gathered at New York University’s Abu Dhabi’s commencement ceremony Sunday — a direct reference to the president’s “America First” trade and immigration policies. Kerry served as the secretary of state for former President Barack Obama. He also, notably, was one of the key negotiators for the administration when it was
