‘This gender crap needs to just stop,’ mom
says after father-daughter dance postponed

This Friday was supposed to be a father-daughter dance for elementary school students in Staten Island, New York. But now that dance had been postponed because of concerns that it would violate the state’s new gender guidelines that aim to create a more inclusive space for transgender people, according to the New York Post. “Gender-based policies, rules, and practices can have the effect of marginalizing, stigmatizing, stereotyping and excluding students, whether or not they are transgender or gender nonconforming,” read the guidelines from the New York City Department of Education. “For these reasons, schools should review such policies, rules and

Young students are not trans or gender non-conforming. It´s a stupid notion put into their heads by adults. Stop it!

There already is a pronoun for those who do not identify male or female. It is called "it". He, she, it. Got it? Good.

Honoring the special bond between a loving parent and child is trumped because of immature, undeveloped, crybabies with no problem solving skills feel left out. I´m not talking about the kids. For the pc/sjw crowd, the remaining vestiges of ´fathers´ and fatherhood must be stomped out at any cost.

In New York ??? How many daughters are there that don´t even know who their father is??? Or vice versa. Gender identity or otherwise, get your schoolboard heads out of your schoolboard donkeys and let those who do have some fun with their family.

These gender-benders are really DNA science deniers.

Yet these same people will defend their climate-change faith as "settled science".

Dems, massively overplaying this hand.

99.9% of people know without even thinking about it whether they are a male or female, and have since they were very young. I have no particular animosity towards those who are confused, but I also do not think that the whole rest of the world needs to adjust everything to please a tiny, tiny minority of oddball people with a problem. And we don´t particularly need to harm them with laws, but we also don´t need to get crazy ruining life for everyone else because there MIGHT BE some sort of hurt feelings, or they may feel "out of the mainstream". Those feelings happen because they ARE out of the mainstream.

And "gender" is never assigned...it is recognised by the physical appearance of the baby´s body.

Is there no one at the school with the common sense (I know, it isn´t that common anymore) to simply call the dance a "Parent-Child Dance?"

Then, I guess someone would complain that leaves out all the orphans, we wouldn´t want to hurt their feelings, now would we??

Let me go off the reservation. I think the school is wise not to hold a father-daughter dance. Not all of the elementary school girls have fathers who could escort them to the dance -- maybe the girl´s mom and dad have divorced and dad is no longer around (or available thanks to the court-ordered custody/visitation agreement), maybe dad is in jail, maybe dad died. Point is, some girls will be hurt mightily because they do not have a father to take them to the dance. A school should not to be a partner to this pain. There can still be father-daughter dances, at church or the Elks Club or the Knights of Columbus or even at a town rec event. Let´s not confuse intrusions (like transgendered in your girl´s locker room) with forbearance. Not holding this dance at a public school is a matter or sensitivity, of what used to be called good manners. I cannot imagine a single LDotter being pleased with the thought of even one ten or twelve year old girl sitting home crying. Have we become so polarized that we yell out "Dilly, Dilly!" without even thinking. This, IMO, was not only not the end of the earth, it was maybe even a good, kind, and appropriate move by the school.

So these gender confused little darlings make up less that 1/10 of 1% of the population and we roll over traditions so as not to hurt their little feelings and confuse them even more? I say they parents should organize their own Father Daughter Gala at a local country club or high end facility and ask for businesses to sponsor the event. It would be soooo big! In your face fools!

#14 and #16 Make valid points. Sometimes it looks like everybody comes off the ark in pairs.

What if schools just taught the basics so kids could get a real education without all of the extras?

The death of liberalism constitutes the publishing world’s biggest mass funeral since the death of God half a century ago. Some authors, like conservative philosopher Patrick Deneen, of Why Liberalism Failed, have come to bury yesterday’s dogma. Others, like Edward Luce (The Retreat of Western Liberalism), Mark Lilla (The Once and Future Liberal), and Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt (How Democracies Die) come rather to praise. I’m in the latter group; the title-in-my-head of the book I’m now writing is What Was Liberalism. But perhaps, like God, liberalism has been buried prematurely. Maybe the question that we should be asking

1. It´s getting late: The recovery from the Great Recession is already one of the longest economic expansions in American history. And recently the economic cycle has gone from humming along to booming. Unemployment is down to a 17-year low, small business sentiment is roaring, and economic growth hit the 3% mark twice last year. But economic expansions don´t last forever. A recession comes along eventually and ruins the party. Wall Street is already pondering the demise of this recovery, which in May would become the second-longest in history. Most economists and investors believe the U.S. economy is either in

President Donald Trump urged the FBI to “get back to the basics” Saturday night after an embarrassing series of mistakes in connection with the Parkland, Fla., massacre. “Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter,” the president tweeted late Saturday. “This is not acceptable.” The president then asserted that the agency was perhaps distracted by the investigation into possible Trump administration ties to Russia. “They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign,” the president wrote. “There is no collusion. WASHINGTON — Former Vice President Joe Biden is tiptoeing toward a potential presidential run in 2020, even broaching the possibility during a recent gathering of longtime foreign policy aides. (Snip) A presidential candidate twice before, Biden would be 78 on Inauguration Day if elected in 2020, a concerning prospect for some Democrats even though he´s only a few years older than Trump. One possibility that Biden´s longtime advisers have discussed privately is that he could announce his intention to serve only one term, clearing the path for his running mate to take over in 2024 and potentially setting up Democrats

WASHINGTON – It turns out Donald Trump wasn’t the only candidate the Russians allegedly tried to help during the 2016 presidential campaign. A 37-page indictment resulting from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation shows that Russian nationals and businesses also worked to boost the campaigns of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Green party nominee Jill Stein in an effort to damage Democrat Hillary Clinton. The Russians “engaged in operations primarily intended to communicate derogatory information about Hillary Clinton, to denigrate other candidates such as Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and to support Bernie Sanders and then-candidate Donald Trump,” according to the

The FBI failed to investigate warnings about the Florida school shooter, but never mind that. And the National Rifle Association has no control over school shootings, but never mind that, either. Two newly minted gun control activists from Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida are defending the FBI, while demanding that NRA "child murderers" dismantle and disband. And they have declined an invitation to discuss their concerns with President Donald Trump, whom they call "disgusting."

Students are in the middle of a lie-in protest outside the White House over gun laws just days after 17 people were killed in the Florida high school shooting massacre. Groups of students from Washington DC staged the protest on Monday on a road leading to the White House.
