If I were famous and everyone knew I was out of town, I´d make sure that my house was either occupied or had 24 hr security guards.

I would not want to be them if Gronk tracks them down. I´d pay to watch, though.

If you´re away at an event that is publicly known (e.g. funeral, wedding, graduation) but don´t get somebody to watch it while you´re gone, you might as well leave the door unlocked.

GANGNEUNG, South Korea – Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu were snubbed for the exhibition gala performance at the 2018 Winter Olympics despite their crowd-pleasing routines during the regular competition. The omission of the Americans from the invitation list means there will be no U.S. singles figure skating among the 26 performances to take place on Sunday afternoon. The gala is not a competition, but a performance show, that signs off the figure skating program. (Snip) Rippon also placed 10th but is now may be America’s most famous figure skater after his personality and charm endeared him to a mainstream

Florine Gruen Goldfarb, 76, never thought her Trump-inspired activism during the 2016 election would earn her infamy and ridicule – but that’s what happened thanks to CNN. CNN correspondent Drew Griffin ambushed the Trump supporter outside her home earlier this week because she may have unwittingly promoted a Russian-coordinated event during the 2016 election. Now she´s receiving threats on social media, and she lays the blame at the news network´s feet. (Snip) Goldfarb was called “public enemy number one,” a “traitor,” “miserable racist trash” and a treasonous hillbilly.” One Facebook user said she “should be

Several magnitude 2 and 3 earthquakes rumbled through the San Francisco Bay Area on Friday. It´s the latest seismic activity to add to a swarm of 60 earthquakes greater than magnitude 1 to hit the Danville area in the past week. The largest in the sequence, a magnitude 3.6 earthquake, came at 12:19 p.m. Friday. The U.S. Geological Survey received reports from more than 1,000 people who said they felt the quake, extending from the East Bay and into San Francisco. The quake was quite shallow, less than a third of a mile under the surface of the earth.

WASHINGTON — The world-renown evangelist Billy Graham, who died Wednesday, will lie in honor at the U.S. Capitol next Wednesday and Thursday, with political leaders and the public allowed to pay their respects. House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., announced the decision on Thursday. His office said that after Graham’s casket arrives on Feb. 28, Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., will take part in a bicameral service honoring the preacher and presidential counselor. Graham´s casket will remain in the Rotunda through March 1, the speaker´s office said. In a letter to Graham´s representatives, Ryan and McConnell said the

Former congresswoman and mass shooting survivor Gabby Giffords is calling out Florida Gov. Rick Scott over his inaction on gun violence and ties to the National Rifle Association a week after 17 people were killed in a school shooting in Parkland, Florida. Giffords rolled out an ad campaign against the governor on Tuesday, including what she called a "six-figure ad buy" to air a commercial targeting Scott. The 30-second ad opens with video from vigils for shooting victims in Florida, naming off "Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, [and] Parkland" in reference to the three mass shootings at Pulse nightclub in June 2016,

A coalition that includes a Latino membership organization and a former Massachusetts governor filed lawsuits on Wednesday challenging how four U.S. states allocate their Electoral College votes in presidential elections. The lawsuits were filed in federal courts in Massachusetts and California, states that went for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016, and South Carolina and Texas, where a majority of votes went to Republican U.S. President Donald Trump. (Snip) The lawsuits contend that system denies citizens their constitutional right to an equal vote by discarding votes for candidates who lose in a state and

Family and friends are not surprised that Jeanna Leslie offered a helping hand to a stranger. But they are shocked that the stranger, a man described as homeless, stabbed her to death with kitchen knives in a bloody attack in her own home, according to police. She had just moved to Denver from Texas a few months ago. Police found Leslie’s body in her downtown loft early on Valentine’s Day after she failed to pick up her children to go to a Nuggets game, the Denver Post reported. The 49-year-old mother of four had been stabbed multiple times. Blood was

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel—the man whose agency failed to prevent the Parkland massacre despite having received a tip last November that Nikolas Cruz was plotting a mass shooting—has been accused of public corruption. Two years ago, the Sun Sentinel reported that Israel was rewarding top political supporters by giving them and their family members cushy jobs doing public relations and community outreach for the Broward County Sheriff´s Office. One such position, outreach manager, paid out a salary of $78,489. The person who got that job was the husband of Israel´s campaign manager. Israel had been a Republican but ran

John Kasich’s inner circle is gearing up for a possible presidential run in 2020 — actively weighing the prospect of a Republican primary challenge to President Donald Trump against the feasibility of a long-shot general election campaign as an independent. And there’s one consideration driving their thinking perhaps more than any other: what some of his advisers consider the very real, maybe even likely, possibility that Trump doesn’t run again — by choice or not — or that the president becomes so politically hobbled by late next year that the political landscape fundamentally shifts in Kasich’s favor. That’s one reason

A Harvard law grad argued Thursday that armed teachers would shoot black students. Elie Mystal, who graduated and practiced law with a Harvard University law degree, made the case for why armed teachers would shoot black students, reported The College Fix. He published the argument on Above the Law, a law blog he edits. Mystal argued that arming teachers would be pricey, not dissuade potential shooters, and “directly result in students of color being shot to death at school.” “I know that because the only other group of public employees that is armed at the behest of the state shoots

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called on Friday for a "conversation about what the right to bear arms means in the modern world," and questioned why Americans should have access to "military weapons." "I think it is time for us to have a conversation about what the right to bear arms means in the modern world," Rice told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. "I don’t understand why civilians need to have access to military weapons." "We wouldn’t, we wouldn’t say you can go out and buy a tank," she continued. "So I do think we need to have that conversation." Rice´s comments

A discussion among students at Oberlin High School in Oberlin, La., about a mathematical symbol led to a police investigation and a search of one of the student’s homes, according to the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office. On the afternoon of Feb. 20, detectives investigated a report of terroristic threats at the school, where they learned that a student had been completing a math problem that required drawing the square-root sign. Students in the group began commenting that the symbol, which represents a number that when multiplied by itself equals another number, looked like a gun.

The way Rush Limbaugh sees it, CNN has become so consumed by hatred of President Donald Trump that everyone at the network has full-on descended into madness. The conservative radio host began his Friday show by applauding Trump’s CPAC speech and saying once again that CNN’s town hall on the Parkland shooting was nothing but terrible, nasty, anti-gun mind control. After that, he turned his attention to a CNN piece published Thursday titled “Trump’s language on school shooter’s mental health could be harmful, experts say,” which asserts that Trump and NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch are not helping discussions about mental

A report released Friday claims four of Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel’s deputies waited outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School while the attack was occurring. On February 22 Breitbart News reported that one deputy resigned after it was learned that he was on scene but failed to control Nikolas Cruz. Sheriff Israel told ABC 13 that video shows the deputy, Scott Peterson, “arrive at the west side of Building 12” and “take a position” outside the school — but never go inside. The sheriff’s office moved to suspend Peterson, who resigned before the suspension could take place. Now CNN reports
