President Trump dissolved his controversial voter integrity commission Wednesday, giving up on one of key initiatives from the 2016 election. The White House said Mr. Trump didn’t want to fight an endless stream of costly legal battles against voter-rights groups, so he issued an executive order canceling the panel altogether. “Despite substantial evidence of voter fraud, many states have refused to provide the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity with basic information relevant to its inquiry,” the White House said in a statement. “Rather than engage in endless legal battles at taxpayer expense, today I signed an

This was the best thing he did. Hope they find other ways to accomplish the goal of reducing voter fraud.

doesn´t have to be a FEDERAL problem.. i have been saying since the 2000 election.. have AMERICANS stationed at the polling places taking photos and videos of all entering.. that will stop 99% of all fraud.. the beauty of this is.. you don´t even have to have film in the camera or one that works!! criminals and/or illegals just don´t want to take a chance.. ps have some armed AMERICANS protecting the cameramen..

Since it´s likely not possible to use legal means to determine how much vote fraud there was, I gather all concerned will need to resort to OTHER means.
At least that´s how I´m reading Donald´s message.

Voter-rights groups, huh? I wasn´t aware that criminal aliens, dead people, felons and all the others that make up the demoncrat voter base had a right to vote.
That´s what fighting a swamp is like, though. Obstructions and filth everywhere. Congress gets involved in everything else. Why can´t they pass legislation that a state must clean its voter rolls, or not be allowed to participate in national elections?

I have to agree with him. With all the lawsuits, it was a huge waste of money. There´s got to be a better way of proving how badly dem voter fraud is. If anyone can find a way to do it, DJT can. MAGA

Jeese Louise - people - read the article. It states that the investigation now will be done without Democrat input through Homeland Security.
“It will get done faster, but the Democrats no longer have a seat at the table,” Mr. Kobach said. “If they think this is a victory for the left, they are wrong.”

I´d accept adding on to the national debt as much as Obama put there, in his eight years, if only we had an honest result across the country.
Hell I´d march into a full blown all-out WAR in my skivvies, and nothing else, if I could guarantee my children and grandchildren would be dealing with honest voting.

Kobach is a truly good man, working for integrity of the vote. I know him and have worked for him and he is one of the good guys, for sure. They are probably right that DHS can do it more easily, can´t be stopped by stupid Dem lawsuits, which seek to protect their illegal alien voters.

Kobach illuminates the real reason in the article. Homeland Security ( owned and operated by the executive branch)can do this instead of feeling up grandmothers at the airport. I´m excited about this plan. Can´t wait to see the leftists screaming in the wind about this one.

So, that´s his first promise not to keep? If that´s his state of mind there are 50 reasons to capitulate on other pressing issues, namely from the States´ Attorneys General. He has the entire DOJ to battle these b@stards yet refuses to continue. Sad.

Fake news alert! What the headline does not tell you is that the function of the voter fraud commission is now turned over to the Department of Homeland Security where it will not be subject to legal stonewalling.

If Democrats control the House in 2019 they would quickly schedule floor action on gun violence prevention, protections for “Dreamers” and infrastructure, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Tuesday. “When we win and we take over in January, some of the issues that will come up soon are the issues we are asking the speaker to take up now,” Pelosi said, naming those three issues. Speaking during a town hall event with students at Georgetown University, the California Democrat several times used phrasing that suggests she’s not thinking about “if” Democrats retake the House but “when.“ “We will have a

I’ve been wondering whether a backlash would develop against the Democrats’ crazed, ceaseless attacks on President Trump. No one has ever seen anything like it: the ridiculous smears, the nightly barrage of television “comedy,” over-the-top attacks by former government officials like John Brennan and James Comey, endless investigations into nothing in particular, calls for impeachment (grounds? who needs grounds?), absurd accusations of “treason,” and so on. It is unprecedented in American history, and maybe voters are starting to think the Democrats have gone too far. No doubt the Democrats’ constant attacks, amplified every day by the press, have an effect.

A little diversion for a lazy Friday afternoon on which absolutely nothing is happening news-wise. The worst part of this isn’t the casual hostility towards Christians or the fact that the author seems so much a caricature of the tedious, ostentatiously right-thinking liberal intellectual that populates the New Yorker readership that the piece plays like parody for the first few paragraphs. (It’s overwritten and his author bio notes that he lives in Brooklyn, deepening the parody suspicions.) Although both of those things are obnoxious in different ways. The worst part is this sentence, which made me pause to pray for

Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts has yet to weigh in on last week´s ugly incident involving fellow MDA member and Texas Councilwoman Kellye Burke. As PJ media reported here, the unhinged Burke loudly assailed a group of teenage girls in a West University Place cookie shop because one of them was wearing a MAGA t-shirt. While the girls were waiting in line to buy cookies for a church function, Burke got in their faces, screaming, "Grab em by the (expletive) girls!" She also mocked them by chanting, "MAGA! MAGA! MAGA!" and took a picture of them. Watts, as Twitchy

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg ran smack into questions about the site’s neutrality during his testimony in front of members of the U.S. Senate on Tuesday. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) questioned Zuckerberg, asking if the site is a neutral platform for people to express different political opinions. Zuckerberg said he is “very committed to making sure that Facebook is a platform for all ideas.” During his questioning, Cruz said that Americans are “deeply concerned” over allegations that Facebook engages in political censorship and bias. Cruz mentioned the 2016 Gizmodo report which claims that Facebook’s news curators section stopped topics

Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg climbed out on a limb last month to add conservative fire-breather and Never Trumper Kevin D. Williamson of National Review to join his growing staff. On Thursday, Goldberg retreated to a safe place near the trunk and proceeded to saw off the branch, casting Williamson down to the ignominy of unemployment. The sacking of the barely hired Williamson brought joy to everybody to the writer’s left, which is to say the better part of the universe. Media Matters for America earned an assist in his firing by drawing pointers to his inflammatory back pages,

US Winter Olympians who competed in PyeongChang are heading to the White House this week, but some of the most notable names are skipping the prestigious event. The 2018 Winter Olympics were, at times, used by athletes to vocalize their dissatisfaction with the Trump administration. Alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, figure skater Adam Rippon and freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy have all spoke out against the administration. They are among a large swath of about 60 Olympians who will not attend the White House reception this year. Chloe Kim, Mirai Nagasu, Mikaela Shiffrin, and Shaun White are also not visiting the White House

First Lady Melania Trump stole the show when she stepped out of the White House alongside President Trump in a stark white hat and matching belted skirt suit to greet French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron at the White House on Tuesday. Mrs. Trump wore the off-the-runway, asymmetric Michael Kors Collection double crepe jacket with a matching Kors skirt and wide brim hat by Hervé Pierre, Mrs. Trump’s personal style advisor. The wide brim hat is a first for Mrs. Trump as she normally wears her hair in her signature middle part and layered waves. The Michael Kors Collection

On the domestic and foreign fronts, the Trump administration has prompted economic growth and restored U.S. deterrence. Polls show increased consumer confidence, and in some, Trump himself has gained ground. Yet good news is bad news to the Resistance and its strange continued efforts to stop an elected president in a way it failed to do in the 2016 election. Indeed, the aim of the so-called Resistance to Donald J. Trump is ending Trump’s presidency by any means necessary before the 2020 election. Or, barring that, it seeks to so delegitimize him that he becomes presidentially impotent. It has been only

Former Democratic Senate Leader Harry Reid, who was once “hopeful” about President Trump, is not warming up to the commander in chief. Reid still has hurt feelings about Trump mocking the injuries he sustained when an exercise band he was using at home snapped and hit him in the face. Reid fell to the floor, breaking his ribs and bones in his face. He now is blind in one eye. Trump mocked Reid in September 2016 after the Democratic leader commented on Trump’s weight. “[To show] what kind of a person he is, when I injured myself, I couldn’t sleep

YORK, Pa. -- One of five black women golfers who were told to leave a Pennsylvania club said Tuesday it felt like they were playing "with targets on our backs." Representatives of the Grandview Golf Club in York told the group at the second hole they were playing too slowly Saturday, said Sandra Harrison. After the ninth hole, an hour-and-a-half later, the group of white men told them they took too long a break and needed to leave. Harrison said she and two other women left because they were so rattled by the treatment. "It was like we were playing

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, warned President Trump firing special counsel Robert Mueller could lead to impeachment, becoming one of the first congressional Republicans to mention impeachment directly. “Firing Mr. Mueller would be a grave error. It would trigger a crisis, possibly even impeachment,” Hatch said in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece published Tuesday night. “It would threaten many of the administration’s accomplishments and make continued progress virtually impossible.” In his op-ed, Hatch endorsed the proposed legislation aimed at protect Mueller from being fired by Trump, or, for that matter, any president from firing a counsel appointed to investigating potential presidential misconduct.
