To climate change fanatics, polar bears are the eye candy for the worldwide call for action on global warming. There have been news reports about the sad shape they are in, with their coats going brown, their food supplies drying up, and their ice floes melting. Conclusion: The bears are set to starve. Welp, turns out there are too many of them now. According to Marc Morano´s Climate Depot: 2 New Papers: 92% Of Polar Bear Subpopulations Stable, Increasing – Inuit Observe ´Too Many Polar Bears Now´ ...and... Inuit observations of polar bear ecology: "Last year he said that there´s

The Inuit know how to harvest this resource.

Those who are surfing in Malibu or snogging in Martha´s Vineyard need to mind their own knitting.

Back in the day when Sarah Palin was in the limelight, she kept saying the bears were thriving! Idiots don´t listen. Made idiot Gore a millionaire, though. Makes me sick.

I say...Let´s have a polar bear hunt ( just to get rid of the over-population).

A big thank you to the global warmers. Your work here is done. The polar bear population has been brought back from the brink of extinction.

Never was any danger. It was hilarious when the fools showed a p bear on a small ice floe, and said he would DROWN when it melted. LOL.
Like a seal or a walrus would drown. P bears often swim out very far from land or ice to hunt, very at home in the water.

Perhaps the only predator which sees humans as part of it´s normal prey. See a human, go to eat him.

Was Paul Ryan the target
of a Politico hit job?

Politico has published a long, anonymously sourced piece reporting that House speaker Paul Ryan is planning to leave office after the 2018 midterms. Coming with perfect timing against a similar Huffington Post piece, it has the look of a media hit job. The goal is for the swamp to think Ryan is a lame duck so he can no longer be effective as House speaker. According to the piece, Ryan wants out to...spend more time with his family. That´s a hackneyed reason, all right, and usually reserved for someone who´s going out in disgrace. Politico supported it a little by citing

Do the DACA kids realize they´ve been used?

The Democrats backed away from their threat to shut the government down if Congress didn´t amnesty Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients. This should be a clue to DACA recipients that they have been used as political tools all along. Because for a while there, nothing was more important to Democrats than getting these foreigners the benefits of U.S. residency and citizenship. They wouldn´t budge. Border control had to go, too. They´d never bend, they said. It was baffling. They were willing to shut the entire government down if DACA recipients didn´t get to stay here, even though there were only

One of the more obvious things about the Trump economy is how much better it is than the Obama economy. Yet incredibly, President Obama, as if jealously looking on at this night-and-day difference, is trying to claim credit for it. From the Washington Times: Former President Barack Obama is taking credit for the robust economic growth that is taking place under President Trump. At a conference of mayors in Chicago, Mr. Obama congratulated himself Tuesday for strong employment numbers in the U.S. this year, saying his climate-change policies have contributed to growth.

Jerry Brown blames everyone

Jerry Brown is at it again. Blaming Californians for the devastating series of California wildfires month, he went Full Moonbeam and declared the problem a function of global warming, calling it a new normal about which nothing is to be done. As if wildfires that sweep away homes in California´s unique Mediteranean microclimates have never happened before this past week. Compare and contrast to President Trump´s gracious tweet on the matter, which was the classy thing to say: Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of California’s wildfires. I encourage everyone to heed the advice and orders of local and state

Since its inception in 1994, the Vanity Fair Oscar party, long hosted by Editor-in-Chief Graydon Carter, has become the must-attend bash for Hollywood A-listers. Everyone who’s anyone poses on the red carpet: The night’s big winners inevitably stop by before or after hitting their own studio-hosted affairs; and stars not attending the awards ceremony show up here to watch it on big-screen televisions. The only other annual party that’s as star-studded is the Met Gala in Manhattan. In 2018, those two events could look more similar than ever, as tongues are wagging that Anna Wintour — editor-in-chief of Vogue, editorial

New evacuations as huge
Southern California fire flares up

LOS ANGELES – A flare-up on the western edge of Southern California´s largest and most destructive wildfire sent residents fleeing Sunday, as wind-fanned flames churned through canyons and down hillsides toward coastal towns. Crews with help from water-dropping aircraft saved several homes as unpredictable gusts sent the blaze churning deeper into foothill areas northwest of Los Angeles that haven´t burned in decades. New evacuations were ordered in Carpinteria, a seaside city in Santa Barbara County that has been under fire threat for days. "The winds are kind of squirrely right now," said county fire spokesman Mike Eliason. "Some places the smoke is

Lessons learned? Lilac Fire tested
strategies drawn from ´07 and ´03 fires

After more than a decade of studying wildfires, San Diego County took its final exams last week. Did we pass? Authorities say the region is far better equipped to handle swift, wind-whipped flames than it was during the firestorms of 2007 and ’03. “We’re about $460 million more prepared,” Supervisor Dianne Jacob said Friday, “both on the ground and in the air.” Officials cited better communication between fire agencies; more fire engines and air tankers on the front lines, day and night; and better tracking of the flames. Despite these advances, the Lilac Fire’s first 24 hours consumed 4,100 acres

A professor at Boston University has proclaimed Christmas carol favorite “Jingle Bells” to be a “racist song” and is urging people to shun the jaunty tune. Kyna Hamill, a theater history professor at Boston University, recently told the Boston Globe that the venerable Christmas song has a “secret” racist past that has been “systematically” hidden from Americans as they celebrate the Christmas season. “The history of the song has remained hidden behind its local and season affection,” Hamill told the paper. She continued saying the song’s “blackface and racist origins have been subtly and systematically removed from its history.” (Tweet/Video) Hamill

Conventional wisdom is that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is asleep at the wheel – from recusing himself unnecessarily from the Trump-Russia collusion investigation to doing nothing about the politicization and weaponization of the Department of Justice. He also gave free rein to his deputy A.G., Rod Rosenstein, who is in turn allowing Special Counsel Robert Mueller unlimited time, money, and jurisdiction to investigate President Trump´s entire life. Last summer, Trump expressed disappointment in Sessions, calling him "beleaguered," wondering why Sessions wasn´t looking into Hillary Clinton´s emails and true election chicanery. Rudy Giuliani was floated as a possible replacement. Was Trump truly

Former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder threatened Republicans in Congress against removing Special Counsel Robert Mueller the day after GOP congressmen grilled Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein over Mueller stacking his team of Trump investigators with Hillary Clinton donors and lawyers. Holder issued his threat in a tweet Wednesday morning. Female actresses attending this year’s Golden Globes ceremony are reportedly planning to wear only black in protest of the widening sexual abuse scandal that has engulfed Hollywood this year.According to E! News, the plan originally started with just a small group of women but gradually grew as other women wished to express solidarity. “So all of the female actresses and attendees, or most of them at least, are standing in solidarity together in a form of protest,” said ceremony host Jackie Oshry on The Morning Breath radio show. “They’re all going to be wearing black, obviously to protest the injustices

Alabama is one of the most reliably Republican states in the country. The last time a Democrat was elected was in 1992, and no Democrat has won more than 40 percent of the vote in a Senate race there since 1996. The closest election in recent memory was in 2002, when Jeff Sessions won re-election by a razor-thin margin of 19 points. Sen. Richard Shelby has won his last three elections by 35 points, 30 points and 28 points, respectively. So it takes a special kind of stupid to pick a candidate who can lose to a Democrat in Alabama.

April Ryan demanded, “Show it to us on the table with folks eating it and a pic of you cooking it.” So that’s exactly what fearless warrior Sarah Sanders did Wednesday evening! Sarah Sanders

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) is proposing a new motto for the city that takes aim at President Trump. Emanuel, who served as chief of staff under former President Barack Obama, told Stephen Colbert that he has declared Chicago a “Trump-free zone” and joked that its new motto is “A city he’ll never sleep in.” “We don’t want him,” Emanuel said on “The Late Show” Wednesday night. Emanuel told Colbert that multiple Chicago initiatives, such as public scholarships available to recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration program and environmental regulations, do not line up with the
