Melania Trump was all bundled up for her trip to Alaska, where she met with military families and children at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The 47-year-old first lady looked cozy, yet chic as she stepped off the aircraft in Anchorage in a $2,690 Ralph Lauren down coat and headed to meet with children who participate in the Paws to Read program at the military base. While Melania was in Alaska with her husband´s son-in-law and senior advisor Jared Kushner, President Trump traveled to Vietnam with White House Communications Director Hope Hicks. Thankfully, the beautiful photos of Mrs. Trump make the snippy insertions about an attractive WH staffer and the President somehow leaving his wife behind read as the gossipy garbage it is.

Mrs. Trump continues to do a fabulous job on these foreign trips just like the President.

God bless POTUS and FLOTUS.

Who remembers those 2nd tier and newbie fashion designers who - courting the liberal media - refused to dress Melania Trump after the elections?! Melania Trump wears couture with ease and her fashion style as First Lady represents the US well.

I really love seeing our First Lady with children on this trip. Almost every photo I´ve seen, she seems so genuinely happy, interacting with them, while the kids just seem delighted to be with her, as well. It really warms my heart and makes me feel so proud to have a First Lady who´s such a positive reflection of our country and all that´s good about it!

Good golly - the writer made it sound as if this coat was made of gold. It looks like something you could buy at Elder- Beermans or Von Maur´s. Yes, not from WalMart or the PX but still very modest.

This lovely young staffer needs to have less "smoky eye" and cover girl pouts. Professional clothing, makeup, and demeanor are called for. When she gets back to DC she can work hard to be the belle of the ball within her own social circle.

With the sexy makeup and tuxedo getup she knew what she was doing. Feigning ignorance is a bit passive-aggressive.

The first ladies of the U.S. and the country being visited are the women of the moment. To compete with them for the spotlight is immature and just plain bad form. A gracious guest does not try to upstage the bride.

As always, dear friends, YMMV.

Melania has those slim Slovenian limbs that look good in anything. She is always appropriately dressed no matter where she is. Her critics keep looking for the fashion faux pas but haven´t found one yet.

Funny, I don’t remember the DM putting a price tag on every hideous outfit that Mooch wore and blasting it in their headlines. They don’t do that to the queen or Kate Middleton either. Melania can afford to buy whatever she wants and it’s no one’s business how much she pays.

These fascinating pictures show a time when Zimbabwe was the bread basket of Africa long before it was left impoverished by Robert Mugabe.Pictures from the late 1890s and early 1900s show farms, mines and railways being constructed in the southern African nation, when it was known as Rhodesia. They also show protests calling for independence from colonialist rule as the 20th century progressed before a bloody liberation war started in 1972, led by Mugabe. The dictator, now 93 and having been in effective control of Zimbabwe since 1980, is facing an uncertain future after he was placed under house arrest and put

WASHINGTON — Capitol Hill has long been an insular boys’ club known for tales of unwanted sexual approaches, wandering hands at crowded receptions and young women cornered in elevators. But the days when such actions are dismissed out of hand and escape scrutiny may be coming to an end.The quick bipartisan call for an ethics inquiry into accusations of groping by Senator Al Franken, Democrat of Minnesota, made clear that a rapidly shifting national mood on the subject had reached the Capitol, raising the prospect that lawmakers and aides will be increasingly unwilling to overlook sexual misconduct, harassment and crude

Republicans have long been smeared by Democrats as the party of the rich, even though all of Hollywood, all of Silicon Valley and all of Wall Street are in their pockets. It´s a cheap and long-debunked tactic, and now we have another piece of evidence to corroborate the obvious fact that Democrats are the party of rich white men.According to a study conducted by the Center for Responsive Politics, financial disclosure forms reveal that out of the ten richest members of Congress, a whopping total of seven are Democrats.Collectively, the total wealth of the seven richest Democrats in Congress amounts

House Republicans managed to pass the first comprehensive tax reform bill in over three decades Thursday without the support of 13 GOP defectors. The bill, which passed 227-205, eliminates the state and local tax deduction, a measure designed to compensate residents of high tax states by reducing their federal tax bill. This revenue saving measure sparked opposition from Republican delegations from New Jersey, New York and California, who believe the bill will result in a higher net tax for their constituents. Here are the 13 GOP members who voted “no” on the bill:

Appointing a special counsel to probe her Uranium One deal would be “such an abuse of power” by the Trump administration, Hillary Clinton said Wednesday. The former Democratic presidential candidate said Trump risked dangerously politicizing the Justice Department, “like some authoritarian regime.” Clinton made the remarks in an interview with Mother Jones about reports this week that Attorney General Jeff Sessions asked two top prosecutors to look into the sale of a uranium company to Russian interests during Clinton’s time as secretary of state. President Trump and other Republicans allege ties between donations to the Clinton Foundation and the company sale, even though

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told attendees at a Wall Street Journal event on Tuesday that if Judge Roy Moore wins the Alabama Senate race in December, he will face a Senate ethics committee investigation. McConnell argued, “I think it’s safe to say that if he were to be sworn in, he would immediately be in a process before the Senate Ethics Committee. He would be sworn in and be asked to testify under oath as well, and it would be a rather unusual beginning.” The Washington Post released an article last week that alleged that Moore engaged in sexual

The allegations by five women that Roy Moore pursued and sexually molested teenage girls while he was in his 30s are disgusting, and disqualify him to serve in the United States Senate. Conservatives should be outraged at Moore for his loathsome conduct. But they should also be outraged at the man who helped put Moore on the ballot and is in the process of destroying the Trump presidency: Stephen K. Bannon. If the man Trump supported in the primary, Sen. Luther Strange, were the Republican nominee today, the GOP would be cruising to an easy victory in the Dec. 12 special

Asked directly if she believed Mr. Clinton should have stepped down at the time, Ms. Gillibrand took a long pause and said, “Yes, I think that is the appropriate response.” But she also appeared to signal that what is currently considered a fireable offense may have been more often overlooked during the Clinton era. “Things have changed today, and I think under those
