President Trump Meets Russia’s
President Putin During APEC
Summit Group Photo….

Conservative Treehouse, by Sundance

Original Article

The international leaders attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit in Da Nag, Vietnam gathered for their customary group photograph. Justin from Canada was positioned next to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Australian PM Turnbull by the host nation (after a big controversy over TPP); U.S. President Trump was positioned next to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Comments:
Sundance having trouble spelling Da Nang. Move on by and see the video of the assembly of the group for the mandatory photo. Rather like large elementary school children. All in the obligatory official shirt. Worth a visit…

(I can’t help but wonder how Putin feels when President Trump has to dip his head down to talk with him…)

Sees His Once-Rising Star Dim

WASHINGTON — After making the transition from comedy to politics, Senator Al Franken, Democrat of Minnesota, positioned himself as a staunch defender of women’s rights. “Sexual harassment and violence are unacceptable,’’ he wrote on Twitter last month. “We must all do our part to listen, stand with and support survivors.’’ Now it is Mr. Franken who stands accused, and his uncompromising stance in support of “survivors” of harassment has left him few options but to apologize and try to weather the storm. On Monday, a second woman said the senator touched her inappropriately, telling CNN that he grabbed her rear end

Birmingham, ALABAMA — A minister who says that he dated Beverly Young Nelson at around the same time that Young claims to have been assaulted by senatorial candidate Roy Moore says that he does not believe his ex-girlfriend about the allegations. The former boyfriend, Jeff DeVine, attended high school with Young and is currently in Thailand, where he runs DeVine Ministries with his wife and twin daughters. He says that as part of his ministry, which focuses on rescuing children, he has worked with victims of rape and other trauma. A high school classmate of Nelson’s who spoke to Breitbart News remembers

GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore is attempting to discredit the story of one of his accusers, who alleges he sexually assaulted her outside of an Alabama diner when she was 16 years old. The Moore campaign released a series of bullet points on Monday that contest the account Beverly Young Nelson gave during a press conference with attorney Gloria Allred last week, comparing statements provided by former employees and patrons of Olde Hickory House with her remarks. The campaign points to the accounts of four unidentified witnesses including "two former waitresses and two former patrons" who say they never saw Moore at

American jurisprudence is well-known for its basic premise of “innocent until proven guilty.” In a court of law, a criminal defendant must be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt to be convicted of a crime. That defendant walks into the court presumed innocent until that presumption is rebutted by evidence that a judge or jury finds convincing beyond a reasonable doubt. A political campaign may not be a courtroom, but nonetheless Americans have an innate sense of fairness and due process. Americans believe that due process is a precept applicable in many walks of life, including the workplace, which is why

There have been constant rumors that they are more than just good friends since they went on vacation to Mexico last month. And Caitlyn Jenner, 68, and gal pal Sophia Hutchins, 21, looked as though they had plenty to smile about as they enjoyed a shopping trip in Calabasas, California, on Monday on their second outing in 24 hours. The two looked happy in each other´s company as they giggled away, after denying they are romantically involved. Sophia, a senior at Malibu´s Pepperdine University, looked equally chic in a white sweater and black wrap skirt with cream sandals with perilously high block

As Hillary Clinton hovers,

In some ways, the Democrats are on a roll. First, they beat expectations by easily winning the Virginia governorship earlier this month and nearly taking over the state legislature’s lower house. Now they have a shot at claiming a much more improbable prize: a US Senate seat in a special election Dec. 12 in deep-red Alabama, (Snip) But Democrats are hardly resting easy. The Clintons have roared back into the headlines, with some in the party now reevaluating former President Bill Clinton’s sexual escapades and Hillary Clinton’s controversial defense of her husband. Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon on Monday called recently published accusations of sexual harassment against Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra “extremely disturbing,” and said he would move to expel Bocanegra should an investigation affirm the allegations. Bocanegra (D-Pacoima) announced Monday that he would resign effective Sept. 1, 2018, citing “persistent rumors and speculation” regarding sexual harassment claims. The Times published a story soon after detailing allegations from six women who said they faced unwanted sexual advances or unwelcome communication from Bocanegra. The alleged incidents were said to have occurred when Bocanegra, 46, was a legislative staffer, a candidate and a legislator. Rendon (D-Paramount) said in a

Former IRS executive Lois G. Lerner told a federal court last week that members of her family, including “young children,” face death threats and a real risk of physical harm if her explanation of the tea party targeting scandal becomes public. Ms. Lerner and Holly Paz, her deputy at the IRS, filed documents in court Thursday saying tapes and transcripts of depositions they gave in a court case this year must remain sealed in perpetuity, or else they could spur an enraged public to retaliate. “Whenever Mss. Lerner and Paz have been in the media spotlight, they have faced death threats and

Doug Jones, the Democrat running for Alabama’s U.S. Senate seat, says he loves to hunt but the Second Amendment has “limitations.” He believes that every right enumerated in the Bill of Rights is limited, and the Second Amendment is no exception.According to the Alabama Political Reporter, Jones described himself as “a Second Amendment guy,” but stressed that some gun control is necessary. He said, “We’ve got limitations on all constitutional amendments in one form or another.” This position is contrary to the clear language of the amendment, which states that the right to keep and bear arms “shall not be

The father of one of the UCLA basketball players arrested on suspicion of shoplifting while on tour in China isn´t praising President Donald Trump for his involvement in their release. When asked by ESPN what role the president played in brokering his son´s freedom, LaVar Ball — a former basketball player himself and star on the Facebook reality series "Ball in the Family" — responded with his own questions. "Who? What was he over there for? Don´t tell me nothing," Ball said. "Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out." Ball in EPSN´s report on Saturday also downplayed

Kathy Griffin is coming unglued. The D-list comedian, who was blasted for releasing a photo of herself holding a bloody severed head that looked like President Trump, posted another bizarre video to her YouTube page on Saturday. In the video, which she called the "State of the Union," she said, "I´m admitting that I lost my mind." The 57-year-old claimed she´s on Interpol’s list and is being shunned by Hollywood. “I just want you guys to know that I am fully in the middle of a blacklist, like I’m in the middle of a Hollywood blacklist. Malia Obama appears to be settling in just fine at Harvard. On Saturday, former President Obama´s eldest daughter was caught making out with a handsome fellow Crimson fan at the annual Harvard-Yale game. Yale hosted this year´s face off, which saw Harvard students decamping down to New Haven to tailgate at their rival´s campus before the game. The 19-year-old former first daughter, who took a gap year before starting at Harvard this fall, was seen locking lips with a mystery man at the festivities outside of the Yale Bowl. Brooklyn College is kowtowing to cop-hating students by directing officers who need a bathroom break to the broken-down facilities in a building on the far edge of campus. Amid a planned petition drive to ban cops from the taxpayer-funded campus, Donald Wenz, the school’s director of public safety, told the student newspaper The Excelsior that he’s trying to keep New York’s Finest out of sight. While Wenz said all of the school’s restrooms were technically open to cops, the college prefers they stick to those in the isolated West End Building, “rather than walking across either quad to use the
