Senate To Vote On U.S. President´s Powers
To Wage War Without Congress´s Approval

(Video) - The Senate was set to consider on Wednesday a proposal to restrict President Donald Trump from wielding extraordinary powers that have allowed the U.S. to wage wars across the globe in the name of fighting terrorism since the early 21st century. Republican Senator Rand Paul, a vocal anti-war libertarian, is trying to pass an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act, removing war resolutions passed in 2001 and 2002 that have given the U.S. widespread clearance to launch international conflicts, including the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan and 2003 invasion of Iraq, two countries where the U.S.

Comments:
I am only posting this to show what our feckless McConnell (Turtle Boy) allows to get through the Senate for a vote. Really? Yet another important obstacle to take away President Trump´s Constitutional mandated powers. Why was this done when the dRATS were in control during the Bush Presidency? Simply put, more distractions (GOPe nuisance legislation) by the Deep State afraid that Trump is in fact beginning to win the hearts and minds of the forgotten voters who want "action" from Congress.

Part of their plan to show he has dementia or alzheimers, or disease du jour. Look at McCain, Pelosi and Waters and compare them to Trump, oh brother! They will stop at nothing to prove him unfit... InfoWars reporting that their contacts say they believe he is being slipped something in the evenings; he´s been slurring words and tired in evenings.... Trump? Are you kidding??? If it´s true, they ARE slipping him something. I discount NOTHING because they will get him out or die trying.

So many things Congress can do like tax reform or Obamacare repeal, and they do this instead. Earlier this week, Congress condemned white supremacy. They will do anything other than the job they are supposed to do.

Congress is worthless.

How quickly can Congress sober up and get together for a vote when Kim Jong Un fires a nuke-tipped missile at Washington?

Washington - Satellite images taken this month of a North Korean naval shipyard indicate Pyongyang is pursuing an “aggressive schedule” to build its first operational ballistic missile submarine, a U.S. institute reported on Thursday. Washington-based 38 North, a North Korea monitoring project, cited images taken on Nov. 5 showing activity at North Korea’s Sinpo South Shipyard. “The presence of what appear to be sections of a submarine’s pressure hull in the yards suggests construction of a new submarine, possibly the SINPO-C ballistic missile submarine - the follow-on to the current SINPO-class experimental ballistic missile

L.A. County leaders make a plea to feds
in push to keep funds for homeless veterans

Officials at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs decided in September to put local VA officials in charge of $264 million that had previously been set aside for specific programs to help homeless veterans. VA officials in Washington say the directive will help the agency’s medical directors around the country respond to the changing needs of veterans as it seeks to improve medical care and prevent suicides. But the shift has generated concern among L.A. County officials, who say it could result in about $34 million being diverted from paying case managers who help homeless veterans find permanent housing to fund other programs

Cats can often be playful, craving attention from their owners. But sometimes, they would just prefer to be left alone - as a series of hilarious photographs show. The pictures shared online feature moggies looking very judgmental when their owners try to dress them up in an array of outfits, including a rabbit hat and a polka dot tie. Others appear annoyed about having their picture taken, or when the owner tries to cuddle up to them. Meanwhile, one cat seems to sum things up as she rests her paws on a book that´s entitled Everything is Awful...

´Creep list’ of men known for inappropriate

Staff say an unwritten "creep list" of lawmakers and other Capitol Hill employees known for unwanted or inappropriate sexual behavior is being circulated through word-of-mouth, according to a new report in CNN. The list keeps track of the male members most known for their inappropriate behavior in the offices, where one former House aide said that many men "have no self-control" around their female colleagues. More than 50 Hill staffers and lawmakers told CNN that they have experienced sexual harassment or unwanted advances while working in Congress. Lawmakers are beginning to address the issue.

Saudi Arabia has embarked on another foreign policy adventure by intervening in Lebanon´s delicate sectarian power balance to undermine Iranian-backed Hezbollah. Yet even working with the U.S. and Israel in trying to isolate the group, the Saudis could end up being little more than a minor inconvenience for militants whose tentacles have stretched from their southern Lebanon heartlands in recent years. Hezbollah is a regional force, with combatants in Yemen, Iraq and helping President Bashar al-Assad prevail in Syria. Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri appeared to be targeting Hezbollah and its Iranian allies when he

In a crowded field, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has emerged as the least popular member of President Donald Trump’s administration. Her support of the for-profit college industry at the expense of students is unlikely to improve her standing. Under President Barack Obama, the government took steps to impose greater accountability on the industry and protect students from predatory schools. The policy is both just and cost-effective: For-profit schools saddle students with more debt and lead to higher default rates than traditional schools. In 2016, the department issued the gainful-employment rule, which requires any

(Video) - Donald Trump’s administration has failed to give a clear indication as to how much the land acquisition for the long-promised U.S. Mexico border wall will actually cost, a report claims. According to a report released on Monday by Democratic staff of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the administration has not provided the committee with any “definitive real estate costs or requirements.” In addition, the report claims Trump’s administration has not outlined how many U.S. citizen landowners will be affected by construction of the barrier, nor a timeline or costs for land seizure.

Once upon a time, Hillary Clinton thought the prospect of a presidential candidate declining to pledge to absolutely accept the sanctity of certified election results was "horrifying." She said so in a general election debate in order to attack Donald Trump -- who, at the time, was (recklessly) leaving the door open to challenge the outcome of an election most people expected him to lose. Chief among these people was Hillary Clinton. That´s why she excoriated his dodging and noncommittal answers on the question as dangerous to American democracy. (Snip for video)[Clinton] said she found “horrifying” the intimation he would

One year after losing the presidential race, 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is still questioning the “legitimacy” of President Trump’s victory, accusing Republicans of voter suppression tactics in swing states and Russians of influencing votes through a “disinformation campaign.” “I think that there are lots of questions about its legitimacy,” Clinton said of the election during a video interview posted online Friday by the liberal Mother Jones website. Clinton lamented how “we don’t have a method for contesting” the election in the United States and called for an independent commission to “get to the bottom of what happened.” She suggested that she

NBC host Megyn Kelly said President Trump is being hypocritical for condemning Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., for sexually harassing and assaulting a woman. "Who that has been accused of sexual assault would have the gall to preach to others about sexual misconduct. How infuriating that would be. How tone deaf, Mr. President," Kelly said on NBC´s "Today" show Friday morning. Trump had tweeted Thursday night that Franken should not be advocating for respect of women. "And to think that just last week he was lecturing anyone who would listen about sexual harassment and respect for women. Lesley Stahl tape?" Trump

NEW YORK — Kirsten Gillibrand is having a moment, whether she meant to or not. Going where no other prominent Democrat had before on Thursday evening by declaring that Bill Clinton should have resigned the presidency during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the New York senator and potential 2020 presidential contender yet again found herself the face of a national conversation with the potential to dominate headlines and divide her party. At a time Democrats are desperate to keep the focus on accusations against President Donald Trump and Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, Gillibrand’s stand shocked even some of her close allies. A Democratic congresswoman says she was sexually assaulted by a “prominent, historical” senator in the 1980s — and “everyone on Capitol Hill knew” that he was a harasser. “Historical figure, hand kept going up the leg, I took it off. A women member was at the table, recognized what was happening, and said, ‘switch places,´” Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell told CNN. (Snip) Dingell said it happened in her first year of marriage to Rep. John Dingell, whom she wed in 1981. But despite the 36-year time gap, Dingell said she’s still afraid to name the prominent perv.
